We are currently using split-type LG Inverter V 1.5HP sa house. Okay naman because kapag malamig na sa room, nag-aadjust na on its own ang temperature, tipid pa sa electricity. Basta monthly ang maintenance and cleaning, no problem. Around 33k if I'm not mistaken pero may discount so nakuha na lang namin ng 29-ish.

mga sis, i noticed that when our aircon is set on dry mode, mas malamig ang room compared to cool mode. as in nanunuot yung lamig sa buto pag dry mode.. ganoon din ba sainyo?

Parang alam ko na culprit nung mabahong amoy ng aircon namin dati. Last month bumili ako ulit ng glade jasmine scent mabaho na naman amoy ng aircon. Feeling ko dahil sa glade. Diko maexplain bakit bumabaho aircon dahil dun.

Mag one week na namin ginagamit. 5 hours sa umaga, and 7 hours sa gabi.
Okay naman siya so far. Sana hindi masira agad.

My husband and I are looking at buying either a Carrier 2hp inverter or a Koppel 2hp inverter for our bedroom in the new house that we're having made. In my parents' home, we've always used Carrier. It's a tried and tested brand for us. Their A/C unit lasted for 25 years!!

If we had no budget constraints, we would of course go for Carrier. However, since this is a medyo biglaan construction and with a baby on the way, we're also considering other brands. I've seen offices, malls and stores use Koppel air-conditioning units, but it would be nice to hear actual feedback from Koppel A/C owners. How's the quality? Okay ba?

Were using Koppel 1.5 hp split type inverter in our bedroom since around late 2012 or 2013. So far we haven't encountered any serious hardware/component problem with our unit except for the leaking issue. Usually every 4-6 months we need to have it cleaned talaga by authorized koppel provider and initially, it costs 800 for general cleaning but this 2016, they increased their fee to 1,000. We're considering buying a window type aircon because of the dripping issue and medyo costly yung pagpapalinis. Sometimes, were thinking if we can just buy our own high pressure water pump so we can clean it ourselves. We tried another koppel cleaning service for 850 only, after we tested the unit, tumutulo parin. Is it just normal for split type acu to have leaking issue every 4-6 months? It's an issue for us because we're using laminated flooring in our bedroom.

Plus the relocation is uber expensive! We were quoted 8,500 for installation + 300 every additional sqm and I think 2800 for dismantling pa. They measured and come up with a total of 18sqm if we decide to transfer the unit in our living room. We also inquired the fee if we move just the compressor since medyo matatamaan ng pinapagawa naming 2nd flr... it costs 5k estimate. That is why were thinking of getting window type inverters. Choosing between Hitachi DC Full inverter 1 HP or Carrier XPower 1 HP for our 18sqm bedroom.

^Hindi kaya may problem sa installation? Recent lang ba nagle-leak?

My 1.5 Panasonic Econavi never leaked. 3 years old na to. Yung maintenance ko is every 3-4 months. P1000 ang singil sa akin I think that's the standard na kasi may iba din akong pinalinisan ganun din ang price.

@WanderingShinobi, my husband said the same thing as sis Heatherette. He said that there might be something wrong with the installation. Maybe you can have that checked out and fixed. That might solve the problem

^^Yes. Present ako during the cleaning. Matrabaho siya sis. Unless alam mo paano baklasin at ibalik yun without damaging yung computer niya, you can DIY. Pero kami DIY lang namin yung window type. We also have pressure washer para pang-linis sa window type aircon namin.

^ oh okay sis.. mabusisi pala. i thought cleaning the air filter is enough. i should schedule our aircon for a general cleaning..

^Babaklasin talaga yun sis. Yung takip, yung filter, etc... tapos tsaka i-pressure washer yung loob nun You will be amazed sa dumi na nalilinis nila. Ang advice sa akin every 3-4 months ang cleaning then every week or 2 weeks and cleaning ng filter.

i clean the front and yung filter nya once a month, pero i wonder if i should clean the outside din na nakalabas sa house?
