simang, have you switched to HFs na? ano maganda pocket hf na local?

No pa sis, we still use PULs.. Sa hfs, we only have Ordille (wahm) and Fluffy pwets, pero hindi sila pocket. Both are okay, kaso si Ordille medyo malaki pa sya kay baby, madalas pa kami magleak kahit naka fold na ang rise. Kay fluffy pwet naman, okay lang din although nakakapalan ako sa shell. So far fitteds pa lang ang naeenjoy ko, we have Tiny Bum, Fluffy D and White Snaps. We sometimes use Fluffy D for night time (zorb ang booster) pero favorite ko Tiny Bum ang ganda kasi ng fit and prints.

Anong hfs meron ka sis? Gusto ko itry yung Cyan's Cradle, madami din kasing good reviews. Mabait din yung may ari, naka order na ko kasi dun ng suck pads for our carrier.

Nope sis, the 'fluffier' the inserts, the better. Naplantsa na kasi yung inserts namin dati nung hindi ako ang naglalaba, nagleak yung iba -_-

Isa lang HF namin. Primm n Proper, maganda, super fluffy. Windpro yung hidden nya. parang yun ata pinaka premium na material for hidden layers ng HF. tinry ko lang noon bumili ng isa, nabili ko BNIP sa BST ng CDAPh. pero parang gusto ko pa magdagdag. meron din kami fitteds White Snaps tsaka Inosente by Sofia. Mas gusto ko yung Inosente kesa White Snaps kasi mas matagal mag wet yung outer niya.

gusto ko rin subukan Cyan's Cradle. maganda kasi design. pero mas gusto ko sana mga pocket HF/fitteds kasi di makarelate si yaya sa HF. kasi di ba yung regular PUL, may pocket siya. di nya magets yung may mga snake style soakers, naiintimidate siya gamitin. kaya mas gusto ko fitteds na may pocket. may nakikita ako Rump a Roo. pero di ko bet mga design. hehe.

though ayoko rin bumili ng madaming fitteds/HF kasi madami na diaper si baby. ang limit ko siguro na additional na bibilhin, up to 5 na pocket HF/fitted/HF na lang. maraming good deals sa BST ng CDAPh/MCNP na mga HF kaso madalas ako  nauunahan sa magagandang designs. gustong gusto ko yung Starry Night print na HF...kaso bihira lang makakita.

A little over one week pa lang baby ko pero sinubukan ko na magCD with the covers I have. Hindi pa nga lang exclusive CDing kasi overwhelming din pala yung maya't maya na palit ng lampin. Hehe.

For presko time, kasya na ba ang white snaps sa newborn?

^^sis for presko time ng newborn, just use lampin. you can look into different types of folds ng lampin para mamaximize mo, hindi agad mabasa. You can use fleece liner din para stay dry. Feeling ko di pa kasya ang white snaps sa newborn, my LO is 8 months and nasa small setting pa rin kami sa white snaps. Although pwede mo din itry since pag newborn di pa naman malikot, baka pwede. Pero personally feeling ko malaki pa yan kahit smallest setting.

Nabasa ko nga na pwede raw patungan ng fleece liner. I-diy ko na lang, bibili na lang ako ng blanket tapos gupitin ko na lang. 😊

hi sisses, i'm trying to backread this thread since we're starting to shop for baby (coming in april!).. we already bought the gauze and bird's eye lampins aside from from disposables, but we were really looking into the new cloth diapers with waterproof(?) outer covering. quick questions lang: advisable ba ang CD for newborns? which kind do you recommend? do you know sellers (physical shops or online) na ok? feeling ko lang mas environment-friendly and mas manageable (pero mukhang mahirap pa rin) silang gamitin. would really appreciate the reply

^in my own experience, mas ok disposable sa newborn... sakin lang yun ah. Kasi parang tar yung poop ng newborn, ang hirap linisin sa cd, sticky and nagsstain talaga tapos super dalas magpoop, so palit agad ng nappy kahit wala pang 2hrs or kahit di pa puno, and hindi naman madami yung stash ko ng cd that time,  also kahit nb setting yung cd ko, malaki pa rin kay baby and was too bulky, ako yung nahihirapan for her, parang hindi comfy

@win_foe, i agree with sis det, better to use disposables for your newborn, or at least until your baby's done with meconium stage. I started using CDs when baby was 3 days old, pero only during daytime, when LO is awake. Around 2.5 months na when we used cloth exclusively.

Need ko pa bumili ng pocket diapers and inserts. Also planning to buy HFs for presko time. Questions pala mga sis:

1. For a 6-8 week old baby, enough na ba ang default 1 layer MF insert to hold his wiwi for 2-3 hrs during daytime?

2. Which inserts would you recommend I purchase for now aside from the MF default insert na included sa pocket CDs?

3. For HFs, anong recommended niyo na brand/shop? What would be a good starting number for purchasing HFs kaya? Ok na kaya ang 5 pcs?

^sakin, i believe enough na yung mf for that age. My baby kasi, hindi naman heavy wetter, and i change her nappy every 2hrs, hindi naman nassoak.

Yes, enough na yan. Even now that my LO is 9 months na, we're still using MF sa pockets during daytime. Max of 4 hours if we're out, if nasa bahay kami, 2-3 hours before mag change.

When we started using CDs at night, 5 layer bamboo charcoal ang gamit namin, palit every 5-6 hours. Hindi pa sya soaked nyan but personal preference lang to change sa gabi. For now, I think MF and bamboo inserts will do.

3. For HFs, anong recommended niyo na brand/shop? What would be a good starting number for purchasing HFs kaya? Ok na kaya ang 5 pcs?

I only have a few HFs, but I have a lot of fitteds. For presko time we use fitteds mostly. Actually the whole day halos fitted na gamit namin, siguro one pocket na lang the rest fitted na. I appreciate fitteds more than HF kasi bukod sa mas mura, eh halos same lang magperform if you have the right soaker/booster. Tingin ko kasi dyan talaga nagkakatalo sa soaker at booster eh.

When my baby was still a newborn, lampin lang kami during presko time. Malaki pa kasi sa kanya yung HFs and fitteds noon. Around 7 months ko pa nasulit ang HFs namin (we only 2). Yung fitteds around 4 months nung sumakto na ang fit.

Nafrufrustrate ako sa lampin na pang presko time namin kasi isang wiwi lang, soaked na agad. Siguro sa quality rin ng lampin. Try ko bumili ng ibang brand na mas makapal and to put fleece liner.

Kami rin bumili ng ilang pieces ng CD plan namin sa gabi lang mag diaper aside from tipid iwas diaper rash na rin. Sa parents course namin nag bigay sila ng Tip na gumamit ng vinegar sa CD lalo na pag may poop. Para long lasting din gamit lang ng baby detergent laundry. Sa ngayon nakabili na kami ng laundry detergent for new born.

dati sa White Snaps ni baby, basa agad pag default insert lang. nung dinagdagan ko ng BG newborn MF insert, 2 hours na rin tinatagal nya.

^sis for whitesnaps lampin lang booster ko. binabalot ko ng lampin yung default insert nya. medyo bulky pero it lasts for a minimum of 3 hours sa amin, hindi pa fully soaked. ang concern ko lang sa whitesnaps is ang hirap hanapin ng perfect fit, pag naka fold ang waist sobrang liit, pag naman hindi nakafold, ang luwag.

for my other fitteds (Tiny Bum, Fluffy D), default lang gamit ko. yung sa Tiny Bum, 2 kasi yung default nya, isang snake style at isang petal shaped. yung snake style I fold it into 3 (so bale 6 layers in total), tapos saka ko ipapatong yung petal soaker. I love Tiny Bum fitteds,ganda ng fit and maganda yung soakers nya. Fluffy D we use overnight, I boost the default lang with 2layer zorb. Satisfied din ako sa kanya and since SSCV sya sobrang soft nya talaga until now

Nag experiment ako kagabi. Yung inosente, tumagal ng overnight sa 2 BG MFs lang.
