^Haha! True sis, mukhang mahook din ako dito, kakatuwa kasi yung designs. Btw sis, would you recommend buying expensive brands ng CD? I saw one na 1k each, forgot kung anong brand nga lang. I'd assume na matibay sya. Too pricey eh, kung matibay naman yung ibang affordable brands, dun nalang ako hehe.

^hmm based sa nababasa ko, Bum Genius and Charlie Banana are good brands. Nasa 800-1k+ ang price. Yung default insert daw kasi ng Bum Genius pwede na pang overnight kasi high quality material talaga. Ako personally parang mas gusto ko mag invest sa maraming inserts, kasi feeling ko pare parehas lang naman ang pockets/covers. Hehe. Although gusto ko din matry yung hybrid fitted kasi mas breathable daw sya kasi wala syang laminate. And pwede din magpagawa ng personalized na print, so cute yun. Hehe. Sabi ng friend ko, yung hybrid fitteds nila usually pangporma lang pag lumalabas. Pero yung pang daily use talaga at pangharabas sa wee at poop, Alva pockets.

I have almost 2 dozens of Alva CD's but my son is a heavy wetter and the diaper often time leaks.  I'm planning of buying another brand of CD's for heavy wetters so I'm into researching on what's best for heavy wetters.  It seems they are pricey though and hard to find some online sellers.  Most of those being sold online are the China diapers as they are affordable compared to Grovia, Bumgenius, Charlie Banana.

^how old is your LO? We use Alva for daytime and wala pa kong naexperience na leaking with the default mf insert. 6 weeks pa lang si LO pero heavy wetter. Pag nap time nya we use bamboo charcoal na insert, alva pockets din. So far okay naman.

Ang mahal lang talaga ng bum genius. Gusto ko din sana itry. Hehe.

I have 20 cds (19 alva & 1 baby wizard). Gift yung 1 kaya siya yung naiiba 😊 15 months and counting sa pag-gamit ng cd. So far satisfied naman ako kay alva. Sa daytime yung insert namin is either microfiber+microfiber, microfiber+bamboo charcoal, microfiber+bamboo microfiber at sa night we use bamboo charcoal+hemp or cottorn terry+zorb diamond. Hindi na ako bumili ng mamahaling cd kasi yung top 2 goals ko in using cds are economical and eco-friendly. Pinaka-number 1 talaga yung economical, tight budget kasi 😊

^^My baby will be turning 3 months this July 9.  I had been using ALVA also on my first son and never experienced leaking.  Exclusive CD kami that time.  Now, we use CD during daytime and disposable at night.  Nadidistorbo si baby kasi pag basa na diapers niya kaya I have no choice but to use disposable.

^my little one is 9 weeks old. Nung 4 weeks siya pinatigil ni hubby ang paggamit ng cloth diaper (CD) kasi nagka rashes si baby. Lungkot ako at si yaya kasi pareho kami happy sa pag c CD. Gustong gusto ni yaya ang pag c CD kasi daw hindi daw nag aaksaya ng pera di gaya ng disposable diaper (DD) na puro tapon. Sa ngayon we are using Pampers baby dry and sobrang nanghihinayang talaga kami ni yaya sa tinatapong basura.

Nakaka experience ba din ng rashes ang baby nyo sa CD? Kahit yung namumula lang? Di naman matindi ang rashes ni baby. Parang namumulang bum lang..

Gustong gusto ko ituloy ang CD ing. Kakadating lang ng pre ordered ko na 6 Quigle Bum at 3 Bum Genius. Now i have around 25 yata na CD na mix ng ibat ibang brand.araw araw ba dapat ang presko time?

^aww sis. Lungkot naman. Natry nyo ba ieliminate what caused the rashes? Baka detergent, or yung material nung CD? So far sa amin wala pa kaming negative experience with CDs, except for some occasional leaking ng QB. Ang dali kasi mamisplace ng insert konting galaw ni LO pero with the correct setting nagagawan ng paraan. We do presko time everyday usually pagkagising nya lampin lang kami for a few hours. Pero sa gabi from 9pm disposables pa din kami.

Curious lang ako, gaano bang ka effective yung fluffy pwets? Kasi napansin ko ang mahal mahal nito. Worth it ba? Ano ba pinagkaiba nito sa any other usual cloth diaper?

^fluffy pwets are hybrid fitteds. So para syang super absorbent na lampin na waterproof. I think organic fabric din ang material kaya mahal and wala syang laminate kaya breathable. hybrid fitteds are expensive talaga, price ranges from 500-2k

Sino na rito nakasubok ng Happy Flute for the heavy wetters? What can you say about it?

Meron na rin akong fluffy pwets nagpagawa na rin ako. Yun nga lang kasi since hindi water proof sa pagiging heavy wetter ni LO tumagos siya so I think sa umaga ko na lang papagamit kay LO.

Ano ba ang magandang cloth diaper for the overnight na heavy wetters?

Started backreading on this thread. Will be giving birth in February and would also like to give cloth diapering a try. When I first gave birth 11 years ago hindi pa ganon ka-popular ang CDs.

What would be a suitable number for CD stash na every 3-4 days ang labahan? Mga 15-20 pcs? Not yet sure if I can start right away with CD when I give birth. Will play it by ear na lang.

Medyo nalilito pa ko about the different kinds of CDs pero malamang I'll go for pocket and all in ones. Ganon din sa inserts, basa basa pa muna ako. Ang dami kasing klase.

^^for me, sa inserts talaga nagkakatalo, i have tried a few brands for night time use (i consider my LO medium to heavy wetter), pero sa insert talaga nagkakaiba. Right now, we use Alva for night time, ang inserts na nagwowork for us (~12-14 hours) ay microfiber+hemp; microfiber+bamboo charcoal (lasts for ~10 hours); bamboo+hemp; bamboo+2 layers zorb. Favorite combination ko yung bamboo charcoal and 2 layers zorb kasi trim lang. But all of them lasts the whole night without leaks.

^yep 15-20 would be good for 3-4 days. Nung 1-2 months pa lang si baby, we use around 6 diapers a day. Ngayon 4-5 na lang, since we no longer change sa gabi. Every 3 days ang wash routine ko.

Sige nga avail na ako ng maraming Alva, lahat ba ng product nila puro pocket? Wala silang mga cover type?

May covers din ang Alva. Di ko lang sure which shops sell them. Sa covers I use Babyland, Quigle Bum, Baby chipper. Okay din naman sila.

UPDATE: Mag-2 months na kaming balik CDing. Eto naman ang CD rotation namin:

Tuwing pagkagising nya, pinapalitan ko muna siya ng White Snaps/Inosente/Snappy Nappy. Presko time diapers/HFs muna before maligo. I also bought 1 Primm N Proper yung Music Notes ang print, di ko natiis kasi super gusto ko yung print.

Kapag nakaligo na siya, annd for the whole day, yaya uses Flip covers+lampin. At night, during our play/bonding time which lasts for 2-3 hours, change muna siya to pockets--Next9, Baby Leaf or Quigle Bum. All with MF lang. Before matulog, change na to Bum Genius. Ginagamit ko ng sabay yung One size MF+newborn insert. May magic ang Bum Genius kasi 9pm to 6 am, no leaks talaga and dry pa ang bum. Di pa talaga siya fully soaked but I prefer to use it not more than 10 hrs.

I destashed all our Alva pockets kasi hindi okay ang fit sa kanya. Di ko bet ang Bamboo charcoal kasi natatabaan ako tapos ang hirap labhan at patuyuin.

Sa ngayon we have 4 Flip covers+25 pockets+2 HF (PnP and Snappy Nappy)+ 3 preskto time diapers (2 White Snaps and 1 Inosente by Sofia).

Ok na yung bilang ng shells namin. Kelangan ko lang ng flats/prefolds na maipapalit sa lampin kasi mabilis na magwet sa lampin. Also need a trim booster for MFs.

Questions:

1. For flats/prefolds, ano marerecommend nyo na ok gamitin with Flips at madaling matuyo? A friend recommended French cotton terry, meron ba ditong gumagamit din nun?

2. For booster naman sa pockets, pwede bang combi ang MF+zorb? pag MF+hemp, ilang wash bago pwede pagsabayin ng soak/wash ang hemp sa MF?
