^32 weeks na kami na baby this thursday. First time mom pa. I already have 4 cloth diapers and several inserts, regalo nung baby shower ko. planning to buy 1 set muna ng Next9 cloth diapers and 1 dozen Chino Pino nappies---parang nagustuhan ko yung Chino Pino na cloth diaper pero mukhang lampin. parang presko si baby. mukhang maganda gamitin pag nasa bahay lang. and mura lang siya. kasi 1,210 for 1 dozen na. bili na lang ako siguro ng inserts from other brands. mahal kasi ng soakers ng chino pino...

Finally, napilit ko din si husband na mag CD kami. Lol. At first he was very hesitant with laundering kasi, hassle daw. But after discussing to him the advantages of using CDs he finally gave in. Hehe. Although we might not start until LO is about 2-3 months. We'll be using disposables muna. Baka din kasi maoverwhelm ako pag start kami agad sa newborn.

First time mom here, LO is almost 4mos now. We started CD'ing just this week. I bought the CDs before he was born but it was more feasible to use disposables muna. Ngayon ko lang siya nagamay alagaan kaya good time for me to use the CDs. Plus, baby was really small (2.015kg birth [textspeak!]) kaya kahit na may adjustment yung Best Bottom, Grovia & Bum Genius, medyo maluwag at mataas pa sa kanya at 3mos.

Saya mag cloth diaper especially when you know nakakatulong ng malaki for the environment.

Where can I buy training pants...First time mom kasi, honestly I do not know how to potty train her...where to start.

im asking my mom inlaw to purchase charlie banana CDs for me.. nasa US sila ngayon and pauwi sila by mid April. un 6 pack kase dun nasa USD112 lang. 2 packs lang pabili ko. at un iba i will buy from vezees closet. my husband wants disposables pero ako i want to start on CDs sana by 3 mos siguro. i just need to convince him on this.. worried kase sya sa paglalaba etc.. matrabaho daw eh pareho kami working.. sabi ko try namin kase matipid naman sya in the long run.

I purchased my first set of CDs from Asya's Cradle. Sobran excited na ko to use them, i'm 34 weeks now. :-) I'm excited for cloth diapering and breastfeeding!!! Hehe although sabi ko before i won't start CDing until LO is about 2-3 months pero now I want to try it as early as I can. i hope i won't have problems with paglalaba since I'll be staying and working at home naman. For the mommies who started sa newborn nila, any tips?

Has anyone of you tried ordering at Chipper Online? I'm looking for inexpensive covers kasi and dun ako nakakita ng mura, ~120 lang. I forgot about the brand but it's not the popular ones like ecopwet, alva, etc. Parang unbranded nga sya eh. I'm looking at buying some PUL covers sana.

^sis simang, see how you go first. i know it's exciting but first few weeks postpartum medyo adjustment period pa kasi, araw araw kang halos walang tulog. kahit stay at home ka but if you don't have your own labandera baka mahirapan ka dahil i heard matrabaho ang CD though tipid naman talaga in the long run. Others prefer to start a bit later kasi pag newborn madalas ang pag poop and wee baka matambakan ka ng labahin.

^we're not going to do it exclusively naman right away.. madami dami pa din kami disposables na kelangan ubusin sayang kasi yung mga bigay eh. hehe but i want to use cloth diapers as early as possible. true, laundry din ang reason kung bakit hesitant si husband with cds eh

I didn't use CD for my newborn-- he was sooo tiny to fit the smallest adjustment of the shell cover.

And true, sa super puyat (and no yaya), mas feasible mag disposables.

^sis ako i have a few. Once ko pa lang sila naprep. Nilabhan ko lang like usual sa washing machine Yung mga inserts. Yung shells naman konting kusot lang sa kamay.

may 12 ang due date and i already have Bum Genius and Baby Leaf sa stash ko. Researching kung ano maganda idagdag pa.

^you can never go wrong with Bumgenius. I have few, used it sa first daughter ko, will use it as well with my second baby.

Where do you buy Bum Genius? May local seller ba online?

I want to invest in covers din sana. Parang bihira ako makakita ng covers, mas common kasi pockets. I only have 3 covers ngayon, brand is Baby Chipper (i think China brand ito). Sa mga nag CD ng newborns, nag pocket ba kayo agad or covers muna? I read kasi na lampin+covers ang best for newborn.

sorry 1st timer at mag babalak palang icd si baby 3months na sya eto month na eto. kaya naisipan ko i cloth diaper na sya since sa bahay lang naman kami mag iina... may tanong lang ako. pano nyo i hand wash yun cloth diaper nyo? may na basa ako na dapat sa warm water ba? pasensya na di kasi ako maka back read kasi exclusive breastfeeding ako. wala ako time mag back read...

^hi sis diann. Di pa ako nanganganak but I've read and researched a lot about wash routines ng cloth diapers. Ang technique daw is to not complicate your washing routine. As in kung paano ka maglaba ng regular baby clothes, ganun din sa CDs. I already washed my CDs para pagdating ni baby eh ready na. Ginawa ko lang is i washed lahat ng inserts/pockets/covers sa washing machine with our regular detergent. Yung covers and pockets, 5mins ko lang pinaikot. I rinsed them siguro 4-5 times to make sure lang na walang detergent na maiwan. Yung inserts, 15mins ang ikot. Then i spinned dry them -- 2 minutes for the covers and pockets, 5 mins for the inserts. Ganun lang. Tapos sampay until matuyo completely.

Kung handwash ka, same lang din how you handwash your baby's clothes.
