Concern ko din ang laundry. I'm pregnant pa lang so di ko pa alam and we have household help pero wala akong yaya. Nagmamaganda kasi ako na kaya ko gawin lahat sa baby since I work at home naman. Pero eto, I've been staring at my starter stash of about 30 diapers plus the soakers for a while now. I know I have to prep them pa. Sa condo pa naman kami nakatira so mahirap magpatuyo.

^Sis talaga bang sinasabay yung cds sa clothes? Eh diba may poop and pee?

napre-rinse naman na ang cd and kapag may poops nasabon naman na yon so i think ok na din same laundry day ng clothes ni baby.

what i do is una muna sa washing machine ang lahat ng cd. nakanet yung mga shells ko. kasabay ng inserts lang yung shells. 2 scoops of calla then 2x wash sa medium setting ng washing machine then manual na banlaw lang. spin dry bago isampay.

after ng cd saka dagdagan ng soap para sa clothes ni baby. so far ok naman amoy ng clothes hindi mabaho. same with cd ok din no repelling issue and mabango pa din.

^kailangan ba sya plantsahin para mainitan? ganun kasi yung mga damit ni baby di ba? para totally mamatay ang germs?

also, regarding mixing the cloth diapers with all the clothes, iba kasi ang laundry detergent for baby's clothes di ba? so if I mix it with the other clothes, I can't use the regular laundry detergent. On the other hand, sayang to use baby's laundry detergent with the other clothes. sorry ang daming tanong.

^i use calla for cd and baby's clothes since mild lang naman ito kaya ok sa babies. nabasa ko din sa mcnp mostly calla users sila. mas mild compared sa tide original na isa din sa mga ginagamit sa cd.

di ko na pinaplansta. although naisip ko nga din pero baka kasi masira ang PUL ng mga pocket diapers if mainitan. sa inserts siguro pwede pa plantsahin pero nasa loob naman ng pocket yon so ayoko na din plantsahin. ok naman sa skin ni baby ang cd na napaarawan.

We separate the diaper laundry from regular laundry. Request yon ng husband ko when we decided to use cloth diapers. We used hypoallergenic detergent, my daughter has allergies. I bleach the inserts kapag dingy na. After a year, got rid of microfiber and replaced with cotton prefolds to stuff the pockets. When I don't have time to pre-stuff the pockets, I just lay the prefold on top parang cover na ang shell.

Binibilad naman sa araw, sanitized na rin yon. Preference ko Lang i-dryer for a few minutes kasi ayaw ko naninigas lalo na ang made of cotton.

Anyone here na nakapagtry na ng Alva Awesome? Sale kasi from 450 naging 300 each na lang. I want to buy kasi hindi ko pa natry mag cloth diaper at night. day time use pa lang.

Also, do you buy larger clothes para hindi masikip kapag suot ni baby ang cloth diaper? If I will use cloth diaper at night and nakapajama si baby I might need a larger size siguro? At day time kasi cloth diaper and sando lang baby boy ko. hehe.

I haven't tried Alva. Night time and going out diaper namin is bumgenius one-size. The fit is great, absorbent and durable.

Kasya nman ang regular size clothes with the diaper, kailangan Lang garterized [textspeak!] pambaba. Usually naman [textspeak!] pambaba ng dresses ay bloomers so kasya over the cloth diapers. If Hindi kasya, I make sure that that color coordinated and cloth diaper sa dress, yon nlang suot nya. Sa pants, mostly leggings unless makabili ako ng garterized jeans.

^ ay ang dali lang pala magdamit kapag girl ang baby. usually kasi dresses suot nila. hehe.

pag boy kasi shorts and pants lang usually. hirap sa onesies kasi masikip sa cloth diaper area pero sakto fit sa katawan ng baby. better nga na garterized na lang bilin na pambaba.

Advice naman mga mommies, di ko sure kung ok na ba yun stash ko. My EDD is in Oct and I want to use CD from the start. I have 10 newborn CDs and 15 AIOs, all from Alvababy. Out of the 15 AIOs, 10 yun Alva 4.0 na kasya ata sa newborn if biggish si baby. So possible na 15 CDs pwede gamitin in the first month. Dagdagan ko pa ba?

^I haven't given birth yet and I'm on the same boat as you pero from what I read they recommend starting with at least 24 cds. Sabi nila mga 8-10 diapers per day daw yung magagamit so baka add just a few more to your stash so you have some breathing room.

Eldest ko is girl. She has been out of diapers for 3 years. We are expecting again, I'm not buying any onesies, t-shirts Lang to match the diapers. Sayang nman magandang print Kung na cover ng onesies.

My daughter was tiny when she was born. Almost every feeding nagpapalit kmi, every 2 hours kasi breastfed. Everyday yata 10-12 diapers. Di sya magkasya sa One size, we used sized covers with flats and prefolds. They dry fast, I had to wash everyday kasi I only had 18 flats and 12 prefolds. Nagkasya ang one-size sa daughter ko 10lbs na sya. Na sulit din naman Bumgenuis kasi hanggang potty trained, actually gagamitin pa rin nga namin for the new baby kasi ok pa lahat. Baka dagdagan ko na lang. We only have 15 left because I gave them to friends to try.

With our baby boy due in January, I bought 2 cottonwrap and 2 wool wrap covers. I have not bought the flats and prefolds Hinihintay ko pa Black Friday sale. I can't decide what fitteds to get, I'm considering bamboo fitteds or cotton workhorse fitteds. We use them with wool covers. I sold my daughter's fitteds when she potty trained, ok Lang kasi girly prints mostly Pero how I wish I kept the gender neutral ones.

Nagbasa-basa ko sa MCNP kagabi about my predicament. Sabi dun you can invest sa newborn size nappies pero wag damihan kasi most babies would fit na sa OSFM nappies after 2-3 weeks and most moms use sposies sa first 2 weeks due to meconium poop.  Mejo napanatag na ko after that. Anyway, we're planning to wash daily naman and use sposies pag nighttime. I also have good ol lampin and more sposies as a back up pag hindi agad natuyo.

Ang mga lampin and prefold pwede mo Gawin booster sa pockets one-side for added absorbency. Kaya Wala na rin mga prefold ko ginawang refill mop head, mga lampin basahan na.

Better to use cheaper options sa newborn size, sandali Lang yon kasya. Even sa damit, 3 newborn size Lang binili ko. Kapag umalis like appointment sa doctor or church suot nya. The rest size 3 months na.

Di rin ako bumili ng NB size cds sis. We're planning on using dd for the first few weeks para less stress since mag-aadjust pa rin kami sa schedule and having a new baby. Pero ttry ko pa rin gamitin yung cds kahit pakonti-konti to transition to cds.

OSFM binili ko before giving birth pero nag-dd si baby kasi premature siya so ang liit lang. masyadong malaki kahit nakanew born setting ang cd. then lagi poops so dd muna kami para hindi hassle dahil wala ako kasama sa bahay while i am on maternity leave.

if you have extra budget and may maglalaba pwedeng pwede magcd kahit new born at nasa meconium stage pa.

Question po, how do you boost an AI2? Kasi di ba snap lang yun, pag n-insert mo yung booster sa ilalim ng soaker, di ba siya madi-displace or makukusot?

Ano ba ang reasonable number of CDs na bibilhin? I'm worried kasi na baka mapadami pala ang bibilhin ko eh.

^ sis, i read na depends on how often you're gonna do the laundry. If it's daily, 20 is ok na. If every other day or 2-3 days before you wash, 40 should be a good number. Also, depende din how often you're going to change diapers.

I see... 15 lang kasi balak ko munang bilhin since gusto ko lang sana itry if kaya namin mag-CD. sige tignan ko if kaya pang dagdagan yun hehe

^ mag-laundry ka na lang daily, sis. And then use DD at night. That's my plan, anyway.
