First sis here what you did wrong

1. You told him bahala ka mahilig ka naman ipilit yung gusto mo. - you could have said, well its up to you. But if bumagal ang net please dont tell me i didnt tell you ha. Walang sisihan.

2. Lately lagi mo na lang pinapasama luob ko - question sis, have you asked yourself if di mo ba napapasama loob nya lately? Its takes two to tango you know. In every argument, parehas palagi may mali kayong 2. One way or another.

3. Lagi mo na lang ako tinuturo pag may problema bakit ikaw wala? - do you really have to retaliate like that sis? Seriously? What I can sense is pride and ego sayo. Naisip mo ba in some aspect without you feeling sorry about yourself bakit ka nya nabe blame pag may problem?

Ang problem sayo sis how you deliver your message cross. For me if ganun ka, paramg palagi kang defensive mode. And its not good. Before you retaliate you gotta think twice first how will you tell him your opinion without sounding too defensive. There are a lot of ways how to say things na di kayo mag aaway. Its a matter of saying first to yourself yung gusto ko sabihin or isipin mo muna how will youf eel if ikaw ang sabihan nun. Always put yourself in other people's shoe. Its not always about what you think is right, sometimes or most of the times there's a word called COMPROMISE in order to make marriage works.it may not be okay with you but you both need to agree to meet halfway. Para di kayo lagi nag aaway. As a wife you need to sometimes to tone down yung personality mo. What i see is you have a strong personality. And havingt hat personality may not always work para maintindihan ng asawa mo ang point mo.

Think about what I said.

@chicafabulosa: I agree that I have a strong personality but I can honestly say that I've toned down in terms of pagiging ma-pride. I know this sounds childish, when I changed my FB profile married to nothing and deleted our wedding album parang I felt light. It's weird i know pero I felt relieved. I don't know what he's reaction would be pag nakita nya that I'm again using my maiden name sa FB and deleted all the wedding pictures. Siguro you'd say matigas din tlaga ang ulo ko pero i don't know there's just this relief in doing that. I'm not someone nman who'd do it to spite him, ewan ko basta I just feel maluwag deep inside. I'm not so sure what that meant.  Now i'm just not ready to get into another discussion with him.

You feel light kasi you think yourself as kawawa. Common girl, its a childish thing to do. But if you really feel na mas light ang feeling mo so be it but be ready with the consequences. I have a very strong personality pero di kame nagsasalubong ng husband ko who has a very strong personality rin like ng away nyo and di kame nag aaway sa mga maliliit na bagay. We think before we speak. Maybe alam lang namin when to back down. Seriously, sa mga sinabi mo sa kanya di ka pa ready to really submit with him or even let him win sa argument for the sake na iwas argument kayo and tahimik kayo. I find your fights petty sa totoo lang. Internet? Worth ba yan ng marriage nyo? Seryoso? :o

And it seems di ka pa rin ready to think twice. Kasi right now you are still justifying your actions and words. So anong sense na sabihin namin sayo dito ano yung nga mali na ginagawa mo. If you can humble enough to accept na may problema sa pag deliver mo ng message then... There is nothing we can do to help you.

^^ And what do you hope to accomplish by changing your FB profile and deleting your wedding album there?

Sa tingin ko lang, you also have to do a bit of reflection.  Acknowledging na matigas ang ulo mo without doing anything to change yourself and your ways will not accomplish anything. Your relationship with your husband is getting worse.   And it will not get any better if you keep this up.  "This" = negativity, panunumbat, provoking your partner, having a word war, etc.  Do you want to separate na from your husband?  Do you want to save your marriage? What do you really want?  How will you get what you want?

@chicafabulosa and marose17: seriously, i appreciate hearing your opinions as well as that of other sisses here. They give me something to think about. At least here, I get to hear things that are logical. Kumbaga pokpok sa ulo talaga. Thanks sisses  :)

^ You're welcome.

To be honest, marriage is hard work.  It entails a lot of compromise.  Kaming mag-asawa, parehong lawyers and one will expect na lagi kaming magdedebate sa mga bagay-bagay.  But thankfully, we are mature and reasonable enough to pick our battles. We measure our words. Words can hurt your partner and when you tell something, you almost always cannot take it back.

No worries sis.

Sis wandergirl- kame ni husband example ha we are both into business. And you know how stressful it is pag may mga negosyo di ba. But we never utter words that may hurt one another. We choose which battle we need to fight. Be mature enough if you want to save your relationship. Di lahat ng oras you have to win. Sometimes you need to let your partner win rin sa argument. Alam mo ba yung isang bagay na natutunan ko from my father is,  you have to learn when to shut up and re assess your partner's emotion towards you. Is he feeling happy, defensive, useless, loved or respected? Baka defense mechanism na kang husband mo yang ginagawa nya sayo kasi syempre he knows you will never try to understand him. You need to learn that there is time for everything. Time to shut up, time to speak up. Time to back down, time to fight back. In marriage, both of you have to work hard. Marriage is not a fairy tale my dear.

Reassess yourself and then write down what are the things your husband hates about you. Things that triggers your arguments. And think why it always ends into arguments? Maybe you also needs to change. Hindi lang isa ang pwede magbago. Dapat kayo, for the sake of saving your marriage.

i think yang mga petty quarrels at arguments nyo is still somewhat related sa Exhausted Housewife issue mo.

you're probably still stressed out about sa situation kaya konteng kanti lang sumasabog agad...

sis, you need a break. don't do any house chore (maybe you can ask someone to do it for a day). Leave your daughter to your in laws for a day. Have a date with yourself....read a book or have a movie marathon or sleep or whatever have some time alone, away from your hubby, even your daughter. I don't mean na you leave them or separate ha...Kahit one whole day lang. or whenever you need it. Your own Me-time.

i also feel that "exhausted housewife" thing every once in a while...no yaya, 2 schools kids, but i delegate some easy housechores to my kids na and my hubby helps around the house..and i still need those Me-time...
during those times, i dont do a thing. Not a Thing! Lol...and my hubby steps up, which i really appreciate...and when im all relaxed and with renewed energy, bumabawi ako ;)

basta try mo.maybe it'll work for you too.

To TS, you need a break. Tipong one day lang, de stress ka.

I'm currently in this situation right now, WAHM and no Yaya. I have a Hubby who's working 13 hours a day, pag uwi pagod na. Good thing until tomorrow nalang yun. :) Ako pagod na pagod din talaga, one week na akong hindi makapag work kasi nga mandatory OT itong si Hubby, pero everyday humihingi ako ng 30minutes to an hour na nap time. Si Hubby naman at anak ko naglalaro. Heaven na yun yung tipong you could relax and sleep soundly na walang katabi walang malikot :D

Goodluck sis, save your marriage.

hi sis wandergirl1980! :) I feel you - I understand your frustrations, because at one point, they weren't really far from mine. I also work from home through oDesk, and I also do content writing. I also have a 4-year-old preschooler. And I also have a hubby who at one point did not understand just how hard it is to be a WAHM. Akala ko nga ako yung nagpost when I saw the beginning of this thread. Hehe. :)

WAHM-hood as a 'work career' is often misunderstood. :D And people often do not understand just how hard it is to write for a living. Hay. So yes, I feel you in so many levels.

It's also been a struggle to make my hubby realize that I am NOT Superwoman. Although I have to admit, may superhero syndrome din kasi ako. I want to be in control, I want to make sure that everything, as in every aspect of our family life is monitored and in perfect condition. Adik lang sa pagka-OC. And yes I go ballistic when one step is missed, and everything goes haywire. And I'm sure that's how you feel too, you want to be in control, you want to do things your way (can't blame you on that, mas madali kasing gawan ng paraan ang mga kinks and issues pag in control ka). This I think, is the one of the main 'roots' of my stress issues. I always think I, and I alone, can make things right. Which I later learned, is not the case. For one, I can't make things PERFECT. Or absolutely problem-free. Hindi talaga no matter how I try. Ikaw din sis, I know you want to set things 'right' again - and you can, of course, but you have to accept the fact na never syang magiging madali, and that never matatapos ang problema. And that you need to work WITH hubby to make this kind of family life work, not perfect ha, but make it work. It's not going to be easy, but you, BOTH of you are going to have to try. :)

I'm not going to tell you the things you did wrong, who am I to say you're 'wrong', e sa yun ang nakita mong appropriate reaction at that time. I think ganyan nga actually when I was in your shoes not so long ago. Hehe). But, there are things you can do moving forward. Yung bukas, yung mamaya, madami pa puede gawin. :)

First thing you need sis I think, is a BREATHER. As in. Malulunod ka talaga sa stress  at problema kung hindi ka literal na kakawala muna for a moment. Alam ko it doesn't seem possible now, but you CAN make it possible. You have to. It will give you a clear head. For all you know, maybe that's what hubby needs too, a breather from the arguments, from the stress - para makita nyo pareho yung bigger picture, yung realidad ng mga nangyayari. Taking a step back is not 'running away' from the problem. It's just that, taking a step back so you can survey the issue from all possible angles and know how to 'attack' the issue. :) Go to your parents' place, stay there for a couple of days. Tell hubby about it in a non-confrontational way (alam ko mahirap, pero kaya mo yan. Make sure you're in a good mood when you do it), and just tell him you're just going to take a breather. Bring your kid with you if you want (kung malapit lang your parents sa school ha). Bond with her, go to Tagaytay where there's lot of greenery. And sis, I swear, give yourself a chance to relax. :)

Then, when it comes to work, wag mo isipin yung number of hours you work, yung clients you have to let go, yung income na nawawala - it's really going to destroy your mood. Granted, it will really affect your budget. I also did have to let go of clients at one point, dahil talagang naloloka na ko sa 4 na client (one full-time, the rest part-time), and it drastically changed our budget. Hehe. But guess what, when I started thinking of it not as a lifestyle 'downgrade' but just a welcome change, ay ang laking ginhawa. :) It really IS a matter of perspective. Sounds like psychobabble, but it is true. :) And it is going to help you feel lighter too, promise. Speaking from a very recent experience here.

When you fight, say what you have to say. But make sure that when the heat has subsided, reflect on your conversation and when you realize you've gone too far pala, don't hesitate to say sorry. I say things that are true, but can be hurtful. When I realize na nasaktan ko pala sya, I make it a point to say sorry. And guess what, it's as if the problems just melt away when you both learn to accept that nagkamali kayo in one way or another. :) Hindi nawala yung problema, pero yung stress that's attached to it pala, yun ang nawawala. And you were both able to say what you have to say. And then it becomes a bit easier to deal.

And yes, if you can, please DO get a yaya. I know kaya naman kung sa kakayanin ang walang household help. But trust me when I say it's going to save more than your sanity. :) Hindi talaga madali makahanap ng matinong yaya. We are just so lucky that though our yaya is not perfect, she's absolutely good enough for us. She's been with us for more than 4 years now, and although nagkakaproblema din sa kanya, tolerable and workable naman. You should at least try to find one. Kung may dumating, go, if it doesn't work out, look for another. Parang trial and error lang naman talaga ang 'search for the right household help' eh. :) Just keep on trying, who knows, one of these days, dadating na yung sakto lang para sa inyo.

And oh yes, tell your friends about all these problems. Pag nailabas mo kasi (literal), parang gumagaan pakiramdam. Alam ko minsan hindi nila naintindihan 100%, especially kung di sila WAHM, kasi may kakaibang aspect din naman talaga, so if you don't think they're the proper channel to vent out to, by all means talk to me. :D PM me sis, I'm ready to listen.  <3 Hugs hugs galore sis.

@KVsWahmmy: thanks for sharing your own story and pieces of advice. Same to you @aquacharly.
Almost two weeks na smooth-sailing and relationship namin ni hubby. Truth is, this thread made me realized a lot of things (thanks everyone). Nag-usap na kami ni hubby and I apologized for being so difficult. Shortly afterwards, I started getting a lot of new work. Wala pa rin akong nahahanap na yaya but so far I'm coping well. I don't feel as tired as before because I stopped being too OC. I work, manage the house, and still find a bit of personal time. Medyo naiba na rin yung perspective ko about my work life. Dati my reason of working is because I want to earn so I could buy everything I want, travel, and eat in exciting places...all the superficial stuff. I realized gone are those days when you just think of your whims. Ngayon ang feeling ko is I work because I do what I love to do, which is writing. I no longer feel I have to compete with my friends who are doing very well. Kasi iba-iba naman tayo ng priorities eh. My priority for now is to maintain work/life balance, and continue being a good mom and wife. Basta I feel better now. Sabi nga ng daughter ko the other day "mom, I'm happy when you're happy...wag ka na gagalit huh." Natawa pa ako kasi sabi ko what if I work in the office, then sabi ng daughter ko "ayaw ko mommy, dito ka lang sa bahay wag ka aalis kasi wala akong mommy pag umalis ka." It's so sweet coming from your kid, nakakawala ng stress and all.

^ Miscommunication ang nangyari, which you can easily solve by:

1.  Being more specific about dates, time, people, places
2.  Being more flexible and open about change of schedules
3.  Not being confrontational right away when an agreed schedule isn't followed - this also happens in my family and I guess, in every family, but it should not be a cause for a major fight.  Yes, you have a right to be annoyed, but carefully choose your words in order not to hurt or make your hubby angry.

Pick your battles.  This miscommunication incident is, for me, too petty, to escalate into a major fight.

hi sis! I actually feel the same way.

ako naman, hindi work at home, I'm working sa callcenter, graveyard shift (mga few months pa lang), before this, I was a stay at home mom for 6 years (well on and off coz had jobs mga 6 months then wala).
Stay at home mom pa lang ako lagi na ko depress kasi feeling ko wala ko friends, wala ko nagagawa sa buhay ko etc. stuck at home lang, wala pera to do things i want, etc. (BTW, hindi ak homemaker kind of person, but for my husband I try to be, I cook, clean, take care of kids,, hubby is not particulary happy with my cleaning coz he does a better job at it kasi OC siya)

Anyway, now I'm working. no yaya. sister lang ni hubby ang nagaalaga sa mga bata kapag nasa work ako (which is gabi when they are sleeping).
Pag uwi ko bahay from work. Luto breakfast, ready son ko for school (I have 2 kids btw, 2 suuper kulit boysm, one 2 yrs old, one is 6).
I only get to sleep pag nap time ng 2 yr old son ko sa hapon which is 2-3 hrs tops. If I'm lucky my sister in law gets him and I get to sleep longer.
I try to cook though.

Thing is, I really feel na I'm in a rut. tipong araw araw ganito na lang.

sometimes i feel this "exhausted housewife" chorvaness too kahit SAHM lang ako. i used to write pero naging priority ko ang mga bata kasi kulang na sa oras and nagsu-suffer din yung quality of work ko.

anyway, ladies, kaya siguro yung mga petty fights eh lumalaki na din dahil naiipon na lang. take a break. a day for yourself is a big refresher. kape ka mag-isa, magpa-spa mga ganun ba. kasi hindi naman tayo robot na nasasanay sa everyday routine. our motherhood/parenting/wife skills eh kinakalawang din in time regardless whether you're a WAHM or SAHM.

(oh please dont kill me all devoted domestic divas hehe). i think this is something na hindi naiintindihan ng mga hubbies natin. so giving yourself a day, away from the kids, isa namang refresher para sa relationship nyong mag-asawa.

believe me, a simple break eh talaga namang makakapagrecharge ka ng energy to face another month of motherhood. our husbands expect us to do a lot of roles but we shouldn't forget that the best one is loving oneself first so we can be more patient, more understanding, and more productive sa family natin.

I think based sa pagbabasa ko sa problem ni TS masasabing nasa category na tinatawag na "power struggle" ang relasyon nila. eto yung situation sa magkarelasyon or mag asawa, kung saan isa sakanila ang gustong laging manalo or maging tama sa bawat argumento.  Yung pakiramdam na dapat tama ka at ikaw ang dapat intindihin kasi ikaw ang dehado sa away niyo. mas importante ang argumento mo kesa sa argumento ng asawa mo. yes, may may feeling of satisfaction kapag na sayo ang "last say" sa tuwing  may away kayo. kahit pakiramdam mo na may mali ka din pero as long as natameme mo asawa mo ay panalo narin ang pakiramdam.  ;D

Since you are able to work from home, hire a yaya, even one with minimal experience should be able to help out as you are still at home.

Try to expand your world, you said you used to work a corporate job for a couple of years, that's one thing that might be missing from your life - human interaction and dymanic chatter with people outside of your family. Your world has become smaller and smaller to a point where you feel "suffocated" and the little things at home suddenly become huge issues.
