Althea Pill - Thread 4

Chiming in about Althea although I had it many years ago. I was prescribed by my dermatologist to take Althea due to severe acne.

I've tried other pills prior to taking Althea and never had any issues eg. side effects etc.

With all the pills and not just Althea, my skin gets better for six months. Beyond that, pimples persist that I ended up taking other medication and no facial wash other than Cetaphil.

Fast forward, my acne was gone and I don't take any medication. What cured my acne? The cold weather helps a lot but being vegetarian is what I considered to be the most effective cure for acne. I'm trying to go vegan but that's a tall order and would take a lot of discipline.

third day ko na sa althea and mukhang effective ang blooming effect. not sure if dahil may new skin product akong ginagamit but my officemates said pumayat daw ako, which is d naman. siguro dahil sa pill.

hi sis, ive been taking althea for more than a year now and nung nag consult ako sa doctor ko before sabi ko as much as possible ayaw ko ng pills na nakakapag gain ng weight and pimple breakout... sabi nya trial and error naman daw sa pills / hiyangan.. im so happy na sa first try ko e hiyang sa akin!

so far di talaga ako nag kaka pimple breakout unless my other factors like stress, di rin sya nag papa weight gain

Hello po! Anybody here who uses althea long term? Been using it since 2011 after I have been diagnosed with PCOS. Last 2016 may PCOS pa din ako. Huhuhu. Di ko pa natry na magstop since I use it for contraception din. Anybody here has the same experience? Mejo nakaka-aning po kasi lalo na at matagal na ang use baka high risk na on some types of cancers or diseases. Thank you!

Hi guys.... I just started taking althea pills because i have mild acne. Never kasi ako ngkkpimple. Im 32 yrs old.. Nag highschool,college at ng start ako mgwork sa bpo industry never ako nagka acne. It was until 2012 nun months after ako mangank sa first born ko dun ako ngstart mgkbreakout. Tpos i got pregnant with my 2nd it was 2016,never ako ngkapimple super kinis ult face ko.. Until ganun ulit months after givin birth ngstart na naman siya..Until now im battling with acne. Malakas ang kutob ko hormonal imbalance to.Regular naman period ko.Pro desperate nako kaya ng althea ako.. First day ng mens ko is May 7. pero ngstart ako mag take May 11. Ok lang ba yun? Gaano kaya katagal bago mkita results? Please answer. Need your opinions. Thanks!!!

Hi, I was also diagnosed with PCOS in 2015, and have been taking BCP since. I used to take Althea before and the effect was glorious! I only took it for 6mos though as prescribed by my doctor. Then, my pimples popped back after I came off the pills!

When I started to take Althea again, it didn't have the same effect as my first time. I'm currently on my 2nd pack, and I'm so depressed with my face rn. Pimples started to resurface on my chin, jaw & forehead! I can't remember experiencing this when I first tried out Althea

Tips in using althea u need t take a break din in using this. So far it is okay with me di na ata macucure ang pcos ko

Hello. Pwede po mag ask sa inyo ktatapos lang po first month mgtake ng althea. Pang 2 days na ako na sa 7 days pill free. Hindi ko kasi natanong sa OB ko kung kelan dapat magkaroon ng mens. Worried lang po ako. Normal po ba yon? Kelan po ba usually nakakaron after a month ng paggamit ng althea. Thanks much po!

pa help po ako mga sis,

5 months nako nag tatake ng ALTHEA PILLS, 9pm ako lagi nainom. pero isang gabi nakalimutan ko uminom, so ininum ko agad sya kinaumagahan. wala po kami intercourse ng husband ko that day, tapos 9pm na ulit that day uminom na ulit ako ng pills. tapos around 11pm po nag - do kami ng husband ko. is it possible na nabuntis ako? thank you!
