Althea Pill - Thread 4

Mga sis safe kaya kung on and off pag take ng althea? Nagpapahinga kasi ako for 1-2 montha then after the rest period ko mag take ako uli ng althea peri sinusunod ko naman palagi na sa 1st day ng period ko itake. Regular naman menstration ko 28-30 days cycle. Do you think not safe yung ginagawa ko? Please share your thoughts. TIA!

Yep, grabe maka-mood swing ang Althea. I stopped using this after a month, even though i had used this brand several years back. [textspeak!] recent usage ko, inubos ko lang ang isang pack. And i just realize that its Althea that has gotten me heavy all these years.

Nashokot naman ako sa effects nito. Hay sana naman wag ako pahirapan nitong althea. This was prescribed to me due to PCOS. Im on my 2nd pill. So far wala pa kong nararamdamang effect.

Sakin naman mukhang walang moodswings caused by Althea kase dati na ko topakin talaga  I used to take Diane kaso nahihilo and nasusuka ako so I was advised to switch to Althea. So far in 5 months of taking it, okay naman. I have less breakouts now (mga one to two lang in a month) and an increase in bust measurement

March 25 was the last day of my period and 26 was my 8th pill-free day, thus, should have taken my first pill pero i decided to stop.  Now, it's almost one month already and wala pa din ako period. Is it possible that I'm pregnant?

I'm on my 10th pill and so far wala akong napapansing kakaiba. I have few pimples pero normal na Kase to pag may period ako and sabi ng obgyn ko makakatulong daw to sa skin ko.  Glowing skin - wala din. Sometimes masakit bust ko sana sign na yun ng pag increase ng size. Haha! or is it too early to see the effects of the pill. Ok lang kung ganito lang epekto sakin nito basta matreat nya pcos ko

Its really cheaper to buy Althea sa Generics Pharmacy.. P375 lang as per checking yesterday, unlike in Mercury drug its P410???!!!. In Watsons I am sure it's almost the same.

Hi mga sis, i've been using althea pill for 4 years already. And okay naman sya for me, ang na observe ko lang nagkakaron ako ng headache during free pill days ko like a day bago mag mens. Pero other than that, wala naman negative side effects saken. Ang question ko lang is safe ba na gumamit ng pills ng ganon katagal, like in my case, 4 years already?

I'm using althea now dati ginamit ko na ito na grabe sobrang pumayat ako.  Now, I'm using it again due to hormonal imbalance.  I hope makatulong siya.  Napapansin ko madalas akong frustrated.

Tanong lang mga sis, ganon katagal na kayo gumagamit ng pills? Kahit hindi althea.

I'm on my 13th pill tapos 4 days na ko may bleeding pero di naman malakas. May nakaexperience ba sa inyo nun? nagresearch ako online mukang side effects din daw to ng pills.

I am planning to switch on this from Diane 35. ok pa din ba? Baka kasi immune nako sa effect ng Diane dahil matagal din ako gumamit nun, now I need it to balance my hormones along with my Isotretinoin..

para sa mga sis dito na may PCOS .. how many months ba bago kayo nag stop?

^  depende yun sa ire-recommend ng OB mo sis, if I'm not mistaken. Ako kase, 3 months lang muna yun sabi ng OB ko, after the said period of time, another utz kami pero sabi nya, ituloy ko pa daw nang another 3 months yung pag-take ko ng pills. I'm on my 6th month right now and due for another check up by July.

Hi mga sis. I'm a newbie here. Nattake ako ng althea ngayon and malapit na maubos yung isang pack. Sabi ng doctor ko after 7 days pa ulit uumpisahan yun second. Regardless ba yun kung magkaron na ko agad less than or more than 7 days?

^Yes sis. 7 days ka'ng pill-free regardless kung magkaron ka na or hindi. On the 8th day, start ka na ulit ng new pack.

^Thanks sis tischarmedlife. I forgot to take the pill last night. Every 9 pm ko sya tinetake. Tapos kanina ko lang naalala na hindi ako nakainom kagabi kaya tinake ko agad sya ngayon umaga. Safe pa din po ba yun?
