1st Quarter 2019:
I am also saving up for a new washer and dryer.
I'm excited to have a new one because I've been using the same machine for 5 years.  Haha such a tita.

1) retirement (sayang nga if I had thought of getting my insurance 10 yrs before e di sana naka-early retirement na ko hahahah. so advice to those who can afford, get an insurance kahit 10 yrs endowment or savers plan while you are young)
2) payments for the properties I acquired last year (tiis-tiis lang muna)
3) emergency fund

Same here. Planning to retire sa early age, gusto kong ienjoy ang buhay. Kaya eto talaga pinaghahandaan ko.


Ayoko yung kuba na ako, nagwowork pa rin. Sometimes I feel so sorry sa mga iba kong lolo na panay bigay sila sa mga anak, apo, Ngayon kumakayod pa rin sila eh nasa 70+ na. Sigh

Tapos ang mga tinulungan wala ding nangyari sa buhay kasi alak, sugal lang naman nila nilagay ang perang pinapadala. BUhay abroad is so hard.

^Very Pinoy kasi yung ganyan eh. Sa family lang namin ang daming ganyan. Kaya ako bata pa anak ko since wala namang financial subject sa school pa ako talaga nagtuturo sa kanya. Kapag yung pera kasi hindi mo pinaghirapan ang dali daling lustayin pero kung pinaghirapan mo talaga ito na halos 5 na Katinko na naubos mo sa isang buwan ang hirap ilabas.

^^ako din expansion or renovation ng bahay not sure though kasi need ko pa namin pag isipan mabuti if dito na kami sa house na to mag stay kahit na wala naman problema dito medyo masyado lang ako nalalakihan sa lupa ang hirap at magastos imaintain. Kapag napagisipan namin na dito na talaga mag stay until retirement kahit na may plan din kami mag acquire ng condo kasi less gastos and di matrabaho.

Me too, more insurance policy for my retirement, for kids and generations to come. I would like to cut yung cycle of poverty or meritocracy sa family so kahit my kid kinuha ko na ng insurance, by his retirement 30M-70M na ang pera niya which can be used by his child na.

^True. Ako din ganyan. Bilang eldest naexperience ko na breadwinner. Kaya nag-iipon ako para sa anak ko at sa retirement ko. Lalo na nag-iisa siya. Wala siyang karamay sa gastusin para sa akin kung magkasakit ako pagtanda ko.

yes, parents kasi natin nuon akala nila sapat na ang education. pero sa totoo hindi naman, makagraduate ka nga struggle ka pa rin sa buhay. ilang years bago makaipon. yun pala eh for 1k a year for 10 yrs or total 100k lang, millions na ang maipapamana mo sa anak mo. now a days 2-3 cellphone lang ang 100k, or 1 month salary mo lang secured na agad ang future generations

^ Noon panahon kasi, mas madaming hindi nakakatapos ng college kaya ang measure nila of success ay makatapos dahil sila yung mga yumayaman sa buhay. Kaya mga parents before, they see that as an investment na kahit maubos pera nila basta mapatapos lang mga anak nila.

Nowadays, madami nang with degrees and naglevel up na ang basis of getting good jobs na makakaraos sa hirap. There are many college graduates who end up in service sectors because of lack of job opportunities. Nag level up na din ang financial IQ ng mga tao na they understand na ngayon na helping the next generation to have a better life means saving for our own retirements now.

Same sentiments here.  I am the breadwinner of our family.  Both my parents are senior citizens na so eto ako.  Mahirap pero masayang nakikitang they are now comfortable with their life than nong di pa ko nagwowork.  Hay.  When I started to work overseas, andaming bayarin sa mga utang dati. So ngayon lang talaga nakapag-start ng investments., including my insurance which I am aiming as my retirement fund.
