I always fly alone from US to Manila vice versa. Be confident and look confident sis, don't look scared or concern. Be organized with your paperwork and be prepared to answer questions like "are you travelling alone?" "how long is the flight?". Every time I fly alone ang favorite question ng immigration is to ask "Are you travelling alone"

Hi. Omg sabi ng fiance ko di daw ako pwede mag dala ng hard drive ko? How true is that? Di ko naman llagyan ng movies. Pictures lang talaga and other documents in word office.. Help......

^Nakapagdala naman ako last time ng external Hard Drive sis. Hand carry. But that was 2yrs ago. Pero this year when I flew to Asia (HK, SG, Japan), hindi naman naharang si HD ko. But if your fiance is really concerned about this, check in mo na lang sis.

^ or just bring a 16 or 32GB USB stick, in lieu of external HDD. less weight, less hassle

I have travelled alone loads of times at puro long-haul flights sometimes with long layovers. Nung first time natakot din ako pero narealise ko madali lang naman pala mag-travel mag-isa.

Tips:

1) Light shoulder bag and light trolley (trolley talaga huwag bag kase mabigat dalhin).  Pag layover sa airport pag punta sa CR dala mo lahat so hassle. And if ever nagutom ka you have to carry tray, and then bags pa. Ang pinaka-hassle sa akin is walang mapag-iwanan ng bag.

2) Definitely have your chargers and universal plug nga. although short lang naman ata layover mo so not much of a problem

3) Kung napagod sa airport, I normally sit dun sa malapit sa screen so I know kung boarding na etc.. be attentive.

4) Sa plane, most of the time, I leave naman my bag sa seat ko pero as soon as I come back, check ko lahat kung kumpleto ang gamit. Passport, wallet, pen and the liquids ang nasa shoulder bag ko. Liquids para mag-freshen up at hindi ko na kailangan kunin pa from my trolley na nasa overhead cabin.

5) Have your fiancé's address ready or kung san ka titira kase nasa question ito dun sa landing card sa US. Flight details, passport details need mo din so have it handy, dun na lang sa shoulder bag mo ilagay.

With regard to hard drive, nadala ko naman hard drive ko dati although 3 years ago nung nag-fly ako with a hard drive (Cayman - US - Ireland flight) - nasa checkin.

i flew alone when i was 17 to australia, its not too far but as a young kid (immature) i was kind of scared,
what was good was that you can ask anyone for directions..you can make friends, if possible theres a fellow
filipino flying..i have found my kapwa pinoy to be more nice and accmodating to scared looking girls like me.

a few mos ago i flew alone again to see and be with my husband, i packed these:
deodarant
slim leggings
a pack of disaposable panty
pain reliever
antacid , like kremil-s , tums
crackers
small bottle spray cologne
toothbrush
facial wash
toothpaste
extra footwear like boots, kasi it gets cold when you land

ask ko lang mga sis, pwede ba akong magdala ng body bag in addition to my carry on luggage para doon ko ilalagay mga important documents ko.

^ sis pwede ang books. you can bring almost everyhing except mga plants, raw meat, mga tipong pwedeng may bacteria hindi pwede. canned goods, noodles, mga dry goods ok lang din. cooked food pwede ka nga din magdala.

sample ng US custom, pag may yes kang sagot you need to go through customs kaya dapat no.
