Feeding Bottles (Thread 5)

It does drip even if its not being sucked hindi naman yung malakas but it still does. Yung medela calma and first years breastflow daw ang hindi. Will try the First years. I have medela bottles na free when i bought my pump. I'll buy the calma if the breastflow doesn't work on well with my baby.

Reading reviews ng avent some are positive pero parang mas madami ang negative reviews dahil ata sa dripping issue nila. Kaya tuloy hesitant akong kumuha ng avent though mas familiar ang avent dito sa atin.

^ I think the dripping/leaking issue sa Avent is with their Classic line. Kasi yun, me ring pa na nilalagay. E madalas makalimutan kasi yung other bottles nila e wala namang separate ring..

For me, ok naman yung Natural line nila. Actually pati Classic e gumagamit kami, yun lang, we always make sure na di makakalimutan ang ring para walang leak..

^ that's right. I never experienced leaking sa Classic Avent bottles (no rings)  ng daughter ko dati and I havent heard feedback ng leaking sa Natural line nila.

Re dripping kahit hindi sinisipsip ni baby, Calma pa nga lang naririnig kong ganyan. Sa daughter ko, we started with the slowest nipple for Avent. Tumutulo sya pero super konti lang.

m using avent naturals din for like a month na... no leaking issues too... madali pang linisin yung 4 oz abot kasi ng kamay

NUBY bottles, d nagleleak pag di sinisipsip ni baby. I bought a doz of these for my eldest kaso ayaw niya, mas gusto niya yung nagddrip inshort, tamad magsipsip si panganay.

Avent Natural line din for me. Ayaw na ng baby ko nung Tommee Tippee nya na bottle kaya bili na lang ako ng takip na pang-sippy cup para may use pa din.

Ask ko po tuwing kelan need palitan ang mga teats ng bottle?

Before kasi sa eldest ko every 3 months po kmi nagpapalit pero mga farlin and evenflo pa lang dati mga bottles ng eldest ko.. Ngaun po kasi most naman ay avent.. Eh ang gastos naman nung teats nun kung every 3 months ko papalitan..
Saka nakabili ako ng preloved na avent but yellowish na yung teats..ok lang ba yun?

Dr. Browns? 5 months preggy here and first time mom kasi ako. iniisip ko kasi kung avent or dr. browns ang bibilhin ko kay baby.

^If you backread, a lot of mommies here have used Dr. Browns and rave by it. Just know that there are lots of parts to wash

Almost 7 mos preggy here. So far I have 4 Avent Natural and already ordered 3 Tommee Tippee bottles. Im hoping makapagbreastfeed full time, but just the same, nagready pa din ako nang bottles.

My baby's just 2 months and she's been using the Avent Natural bottles ever since and hindi pa naman sya nagleak. What I like most about these bottles is hindi nag-nipple confusion baby ko. I can still breastfeed while sometimes, nagbibigay kami ng formula. Currently, we only use 2 4oz bottles and nipples with flow rate of 2 (we used flow rate 1 from birth until she turned 6 weeks), but we have 2 9oz bottles as well.

A friend also gave us a Playtex Drop-in bottle but hindi pa namin nagamit kasi di pa kami gumagala ni baby, but I think it's a very convenient way of feeding her.

^ bought Playtex drop-in nursers and liners din, in preparation for our trip next month. Napraktis ko na last weekend when we went out of town. And I find it convenient and easy to use. Less hugasin, too. Papraktis ko ulit this weekend pag nagpunta kami sementeryo..

So far, we used different bottles (Medela, Avent, Playtex, First Years, Tommee Tippee) and di naman nagka-nipple confusion si baby. Mag-5mos na sya this week. Direct feeding pa din kami sa gabi and sa morning, and pag naka-dayoff si yaya.

My baby likes Avent Naturals ayaw nya nung Classic na nipple parang hindi nya iniinuman. Ok din Tommee Tippee nagagamit din naman namin sya.

Sis never use 2nd hand teats, yung bottle ok lang pero you need to change the nipples for sanitary reasons

Baka OT pero I've been breastfeeding exclusively for 6 weeks now and since last week, we've been trying to get my daughter to take the bottle but she pushes the nipple out with her tongue. I got the Tommee Tippee bottles by the way. Tnry ko na with warmed breast milk from the ref as well as freshly expressed milk. Pacifier din ayaw niya. We have the Avent soothies. I plan to continue direct feeding but for times I need to leave the house, kailangan mafeed din siya ng kung sinong maiiwan sa house. I'd rather not cup feed also and have her learn to bottle feed. Any tips on what bottle to use?

^ ganyan din si baby ko before sis, ayaw sa bottle.. what we did, sinanay namin na every day me at least one feeding sya ng BM na naka-bottle kahit nasa house lang ako. I just stay inside the bedroom while yaya feeds her sa sala. Eventually nasanay naman..

As for bottles, the first brands we tried were Medela and Avent (classic and natural). Salit-salit lang nun, hanggang masanay. now di naman sya namimili ng bottle so far.
