Takot mag asawa
« on: September 13, 2013, 11:46:41 am »

Everybody is not the same.  Not all adults turn oldie cranky/rude.  Some are born that way and remain that way till they drop dead.  Hahaha

Kidding aside,  marriage is not a bed of roses all the time.  But it need not be a bed of thorns daily too.

All I can say  is:  the odds are better now, coz wives no longer suffer in silence.
The odds are better now too coz, more and more women realize Boink! There is no need to suffer till death do them part.
Better odds for good marriages coz more and more couples realize that Ggod Communication is key to a good relationship.

LEARN from others' mistakes; don't make others' mistakes close your mind nor make you fearful.

When you are considering marrying someone, study his quirks, mind the red flags.
Do not think you  can change him to your liking.  We are what we are.
Play mahjong with him, travel together, live in discreetly, analyze his family (the acorn does not fall far from the oak tree, ika nga).

Pray, for Discernment.

With what you have experienced with your lolo, I think it's understandable for you to be fearful and apprehensive. Maybe a big part of you, takot na baka yung maging asawa mo maging kasing personality ng lolo mo.

In a positive light, not all men have personality like your lolo, but on the negative side, there are some people who fell into their homing instinct. Meaning, they attract and get attracted (subconsciously) to someone who is similar to their parents/authority figures at home.

In a way, you can make your fear work for you by being cautious. If you will meet someone or date someone, observe him at home, how he interacts with his family members and with other people. Observe how he behave when angry or stressed. If you noticed something that's bothersome, it's up to you if you will turn a blind eye on it or make it a deal breaker.

:o... give me ten reasons why, and i'll give you ten valid answers/cases/scenarios/facts why you should not plunge into marriage.

ikinasal ka nga, baka after a year naman, you'll be running as president ng Pro-Divorce Pilipins, Laguna chapter ;)

at 22, you're so,so, so young pa JJ. wag mo munang isipin yang sakalan na yan.
better think of what you will be 5years from now.
