Thank you for the update! I was getting worried because I'm bringing a group of 16 to Korea for a tour, and they (we)  all want to see Cherry Blossoms! I thought it wouldn't start blooming until mid this month. Excited to leave for Korea tom!

Just got back from Seoul yesterday! And yes, CHERRY BLOSSOMS ARE EVERYWHERE na! <333 As well as other Spring flowers. Ang saya! Mas marami pa atang flowers ngayon nakita namin kesa nung nagpunta kami last year. Ang early ng Spring ngayon.

Sa Yeouido Han River Park last stop namin nung Sunday, ang dami ng tao as in ang dami! Haha! Siguro magfull bloom yung mga trees by middle of this week. Kasi merong ibang trees na incomplete pa yung flowers.

Oh my, we're going on April 9. Keeping my fingers crossed na meron pa kami abutan. We're going straight to Yeouido pagdating galing airport hehe waaah nakaka-panic! Lol. Gusto ko kasi makita talaga.

oh no! April 9 pa naman Jinhae namin and April 12 pa dating sa Seoul we opted for Busan kasi muna eh. sana maabutan pa namin yun Jinhae.

^^ sis, we usually just withdraw local currency using BDO ATMs whenever we travel (aside from our baon na USD). If I remember correctly, charge per transaction is $3 lang. We withdraw maximum allowable amount (estimated conversion from peso) para mas sulit yung transaction fee.

Hi mga sis, grabe nakaka-stress nga yung cherry blossoms. Nasira plan sa itinerary namin, kailangan i-adjust and unahin yung yeouido. Same question, after mag full bloom, ilang days before magstart to fall off?

Re: Currency Conversion

based sa aming computations at comparisons, nasa 9 kasi kami nagpunta ng Seoul so iba't ibang conversion ang naganap - mas okay ang PhP to KRW na papalit derecho sa KR na mismo. Okay din ang PhP to USD muna dito satin, then saka mo papalitan ng USD to KRW doon. Ang pinakalugi ay yung dito nagpapalit derecho from PhP to KRW, todo kantsaw kami sa kanya dahil lugi sya. Lol!

Ito lang natandaan ko:

KRW 1000 = PhP 43.10 sa Insadong malapit sa Cheonggye stream, sa Myeongdong KRW 1000 = PhP 47.6 as of March 29 ito.

Sa Incheon ang palitan ay KRW 1030 = 1 USD as of March 27.

Re: Cherry Blossoms Ending

I was doing a research also for our trip to Japan next weekend kasi nagfull bloom na rin doon ang sakura! So according to one article Ive read, after a week daw ng full bloom nalalaglag na sila. Pero depende daw sa rain at wind yun baka mas mapaearly pa.

Re: Accommodation in Seoul

We stayed at 24 Guesthouse Edae branch. Super highly reco! Bago lang sila, December 2013 lang nagopen. Took a risk staying here dahil wala pang review sa TripAdvisor and Booking.com but so glad we did because we had no regrets at all! Lol.  PhP1,120 lang per night/pax with free bfast and wifi. Tumbling lang from Ewha Station at most esp. sa mga mahihilig magshopping, malapit sa Edae Shopping Street. Marami din local restos around. Maraming branch na ang 24 Guesthouse so try checking them out too, mga bago rin lang.

Based on accuweather may forecast ng a.m rain on the 8th and rain on the 9th yikes sana wag naman super bilis magfalloff

^Yes sis. merong nagpapalit dun ng PhP. sa Ewha kasi wala akong nakita eh.

Oh no sana di super lakas ng ulan. Nung andun kasi kami may forecast din na uulan parang mula 10am to 3pm pero drizzle lang. Keri lang na hoodie lang. Di naman natanggal mga cherry blossoms. Hehe.
