^ for me, it's a must. I consider that one of the highlights of our trip last year. It was educational and ibang feeling din to be on the border. But then again, it depends on each person's interests na din.

Got my visa na, my mom has a valid US visa but she was given single entry lang din. When i got to the embassy, i overheard some people were denied daw and they were pleading sa guards na kumausap sa loob

@jazzlawyer: we're going sa dmz. nagpa-book kami half day tour (until 2pm ata yun). di namin napuntahan yun sa previous trips namin e.

Mga sis, what month maganda pumunta sa Korea? Yung may snow sana pero yung pwede pa magikot-ikot for tourist spots din.

hi! we are going to Busan next week, any idea kung ilang degrees na

just wanna share my experience  sa pag-apply ko ng Korean Visa

1. I downloaded the form from South Korean Embassy Page
2. I filled out the form as instructed. Just indicate N/A  or not applicable to items which are not applicable
3. I pasted the passport size photo in the form
4. I completed all the documents and arrange it as listed
    - Fully accomplished Application form
    - Photocopy of the Bio Page of the Passport (valid for six months)
    - Photocopy of other Visa (if applicable)
    - Original Copy of Certificate of Employment
    - Original Copy of Bank Certification
    - Photocopy of Latest ITR

5. Just put it inside you valid passport. No clips (kahit na group ang application). Remove also the passport cover. No need to submit previous passport.

6. Come early at the embassy. I was there around 7:30 and medyo mahaba na ang pila sa labas ng embassy. Pwede kayo magpark sa tapat ng embassy, may lane don na allowed magpark ang applicants. marami nagpapark kaya kelangan maaga para makapili.

7. Fall in line, Ask kung sino ang nasa last line para di  masungitan ng mga nauna na pumila. Iyong iba kasi nagpapalusot pa sa pagsingit, sorry na lang meron sila nakakatapat at nagoobserve kaya nasita tuloy sila.

8. As requested, present your  ID, Log-in and get your guest pass and go back to your line.

9. Listen sa guard, kasi before papasukin, aayusin ng guard iyong pagkakasunod sunod ng line  at i-orient kung ano iyong mga do's and dont's sa loob ng embassy.

10. Present your documents para mabigyan ng counter number. I observed na mas nakafocus iyong Manong sa space sa  mga passport ( i applied kasi for our group) Di nga nya minatch iyong names namin sa docs.

11. Get the number and sign the logbook as instructed. (iyong iba applicants hindi inayos agad ang docs nila kaya di sila agad nabigyan ng number. don pa sila nag-fill up, nagpaste ng photos at di maayos arrangement ng docs. kaya medyo pang 15 ako sa pila, naging no. 3 ako.

12. Find a seat and wait for your number to be called. I was lucky that they opened at 8:30. I was no. 3. I was done at 8:45. Just  provide  only the documents required/ listed, kasi pag sobra iyong documents na hindi naman kailangan (plane tickets, hotel voucher etc)  binabalik, pag kulang binabalik. I was so happy na pagtingin ng consul don sa 1st set ay inistapler na nya, it means ok na. I observed na nakafocus sya sa Certificate of Employment and ITR.

13. Get the claim stub
 
14.Surrender your guestpass and get your ID

15. Dont forget to say good morning, thank you and be nice all the time.


How to claim

1. Be there on the date in the claim stub

2. Present the claim stub at the gate entrance

3.Get a number, find a seat and wait for your number to be called

4. for group app, provide the list of names together with the claim stub

5. Present your claim stub when called.

We booked our DMZ tour at http://www.panmunjomtour.com Combination tour kinuha namin (3rd tunnel, imjingak, dora observatory and dorasan rail station, JSA). 120k won per person inc lunch. Around 8am umalis ng Seoul (Lotte Hotel), nakabalik around 5pm yata yun.

@switan9el: Hello sis, do you have any plans na as to what specifically you intend to do in Korea? Here are the main things to consider:

- Where are you guys staying?
- How many are you going to Korea?
- What tourist spots do you intend to go to?

@jazzlawyer: Okay siya sis for experience Meron kasing whole day package if I'm not mistaken, meron ding half day. We availed the half day. Inclusive dun yung visit to the tunnel, the Dorasan train station (FYI, have to buy pa ticket to go inside the train stop) and yung area where you get to take a peek at North Korea. Plus lunch after.

Okay medyo natakot ako sa loob ng tunnel, nakaka-claustrophobic siya. After experiencing the Cebu earthquake last year, medyo napapraning na rin ako to go tight places na mahirap lumabas just in case "something happens".

^ medyo mahal talaga ang DMZ tour sis kasi di pwede DIY to. Tsaka regulated ang tours. Pinakamura yata is 60k krw. Check the link I posted kanina, andun yung different packages.

For Nami + Petite France, nag-avail din kami ng tour kasi tamad kami to DIY this kasi magkakalayo, hehe. 120k krw din per pax. Me mga sisses tayo dito na nag-DIY nito, they can give you tips.

^sis i see kasi petite france sa mga kdramas like "you who came from the stars" and "secret garden" ano ano pwede gawin don?

^ honestly, di ako masyadong naaliw sa Petite France. Maliit lang yung place. Cute naman. Pero super-sandali lang kami nag-ikot. Picture-picture lang then nag-snacks kami tapos the rest of the afternoon, nag-nap na lang kami sa coaster until it was time to leave. hehe.. I enjoyed Nami Island better.

We went to Nami before. Medyo mahabang travel. Pero this time, sa Petite France naman kami punta. Holiday kasi yung day nung nag-Nami kami last year, daming tao tuloy kaya haba ng line and siksikan, halos gabi (around 6pm) na kami nakabalik. Pag regular day, di naman daw ganun.

We would love to go to those famous palaces, Nami Island, Petite France, N Seoul Tower, Hello kitty cafe, yan palang naiisip ko.. gusto sana namin relax trip lang.. for accomodation, baka may masuggest kayo mga sis na mura lang na hotel? Magkano kaya ang budget for a 5-day trip na ganito?

^ sis try checking zaza backpackers (maganda review nya sa trip advisor) saka myeongdong guesthouse ata yung isang nirerecommend ng ibang sis natin dito. may mga website yan, may fb din yung zaza i think. nasa 2k plus pataas ang rates if i am not mistaken
