^^ yes, roaming for both Smart and Globe work in Korea. You can also check with Globe if meron sila partner telecom dun for the $10/day unlimited roaming data. Otherwise, make sure your data is off.

Share ko lang, yung Globe ko, automatic roaming. Pero ito matagal na, and okay lang kasi hindi naman ako nagbabayad. hihi. Pero yung kasama ko, personal line niya. Hindi niya inactivate yung roaming, pero when we got to Korea, gulat siya at nakakareceive siya ng text. Ayun, automatic din pala na nakaset yung line niya to roaming once na lumabas ng bansa.

@ sis bagaholic_chewy and sis merian: Thanks for the reply. I have read in another forum kase na some encountered problems with their phones when in Korea. Di nila magamit to receive SMS and do calls. With my previous travels naman in other countries, automatic na activated yung roaming feature nya. Will check with Globe na lang uli kung ano yung partner telecom nila doon.

Laki ng problema ko sa travel ko sa korea next month. Outfit! hehe. first time to travel na medyo malamig.  summer usually travel ko kaya lagi lang shorts, shirts and flats bitbit ko para less bagahe diin. i was browsing kris aquino's blog she was in seoul kasi last year and same date ng travel ko this year and she was wearing trench coats and down jackets  and boots because of the cold weather.  Sabagay knowing kriis outfit kung outfit. Ano usually outfit nyo sa mga naka experience na ng cold weather sa korea?

^for travel to and from the airport, I use a trench coat. Formal ako always on flights.  =)  for moving around, I've a bubble jacket (with down feathers), layered ng heattech or thermal long sleeved turtleneck shirts, earmuffs, wool beret, asstd scarves, my trusty gloves from M&S and winter boots from M&S. For my upcoming Nov trip, my aunt got me UGGs which were on sale in Oz a few weeks back. =)  outfit talaga kung outfit haha pero more on warmth kasi kesa ngatog. Don't worry! Opportunity natin ito to dress up! Ako personally, I invest in winter clothing cos nasusulit ko on my other trips like to Beijing and the US, aside from Korea.

i already have my bank certificate (as of 9/24/2013) and will apply for tourist visa next week 10/10/2013. within 1 month pa naman sya pero my question is do i need to maintain the bank balance indicated in the certificate until maprocess ang visa application? chinecheck pa kaya nila yun?

just got back from jeju & seoul - mainit sa jeju buong araw pero sa gabi ang lamig! sa seoul naman medyo maulan saka malamig. namimiss ko na korea, di ako makakabalik sa kanila next year loaded na schedule ko.

Yes. Ok ang jeju,one hour away from seoul (by plane). We rented a car to roam around jeju,nakakapagod lang kasi puro trekking pero mas ok kung may car para east and west coast ng jeju mapuntahan
