I had pearl earrings, didn't have something blue. 2nd veil almost fell but I pulled it back in time. we had 11 candles. 8 pcs to light before ceremony.. 3 for the unity candles. it's a bit of a worry if mamatay lahat yon hahaha!

I remember my mom mentioned too about the candle na namatay during my ninang's wedding. She died after giving birth to 1st child.

had 2 gown fittings, twice per gown. I wonder too who went out the church first.. maybe the advance party na suppliers kase they have to go the reception na. hihi!

No, we don't believe in superstitions but not bad to take extra caution.

We didn't see each other for 3 days before the wedding. If I had a choice, would have made it a week! Hahaha! Not so much because of any pamahiin, but more of because it just makes everything more exciting!  ;D

sis shygirlme, buti nabanggit mo yung sa breakfast. pano nyo inensure na di kayo magkakasabay sa breakfast buffet? nagtetext ba kayo?

sis caleeice grabe naman yung 1 week if ever. hehe. pero mukhang magandang idea yung 3 days, basta dapat lang settled nyo na talaga lahat by that time :)

Ang alam ko the day before the wedding yung bawal.  E pano yung mga rtw or for rent na gown?  Susukatin ko pa naman uli bukas yung gown na kukunin ko. 4 months pa naman before my wedding. Does that count?

I also let my fiance see my chosen wedding gown pero sa picture lang, for his comment and approval (lagi ko kasi hinihingi opinion nya kung maganda o bagay ba yung suot ko).  Sya rin nagsabi sakin na ayaw nyang tignan but later on sabi nya kahit anong mangyari naman daw ay papakasalan pa rin nya ko.

May nagsabi din sakin na bawal daw picture-an yung church for the wedding.  E ako i was too excited to finally reserved a church (dahil muntik na akong maubusan) so i posted it in instagram. Totoo kaya yun?

With the single ladies naman as maid of honor or bridesmaid, ang alam ko ang bridesmaid dapat single but i'm getting my friend who's technically single but with a daughter na and living in with his boyfriend.  As for my MOH, i'll be getting my sister who's married na.  We're very close kasi.

Kami we're trying it to be even tapos ang daming close friends ni fiance, nahirapan akong pantayan.  Kaya tuloy mukhang aabot kami sa 10 pairs!  Right now 9 na sa akin, 10 na sa kanya.

I think ang susundin ko lang na pamahiin is yung something old, new, borrowed, blue. At yung di kami magkikita ni fiance on the night before the wedding, yun din kasi gusto nya.

Did some of you ever had your wedding date computed for the auspicious date base from your birthday and husband's birthday?

I'm not superstitious but we had to match our wedding date sa few days after ng new moon. As per my mum's request. Ang alam ko sis megantaur its a few days after the new moon. It means that you will have a good start. Kasi palaki pa lang ang buwan. New moon, new  beginnings hehe...   pero meron din nga kaming na basa something about a full moon.

^right sis! Or minsan ordinaryong tao! Lunatic ba! Hahaha. Kasi full moon daw means more gravity lalo sa dagat mapapansin, high tide kapag malaki buwan. Same as sa tao, kasi our body is consist of 70-75% wAter, may epekto raw, something like that, hehe.
Hehe.
2 - kasi paluhod. So these include the dates na 2, 11, 20
4 - malas sa chinese ang 4.  Includes 13, 22, 31
6 - kasi the end stroke is pababa. Includes 15, 24
9- kasi end stroke is pababa, includes 18, 27

Its not based on the moon, the stars, the traditions, something blue and all..  ;)
Lolo at lola ko kinasal walang buwan, they were married november (30 days lang) , and they arent perfectly compatible sa zodiac - libra (air) at pisces (water) born 15th march & sept 27- numerology wise sablay rin, chinese calendar rooster and dragon. Pero they lasted 3 decades. Hahaha. ::)

Nakwento ko lang!  :D ;D

That is right, it depends on the couple if they'll have a happy marriage or not. Let's not rely too much on superstitious belief but [textspeak!] naman masama kung itry natin mga tradition ng matatanda haha.

My mom also said if my older sibling,  is still single and I am getting married before him/her magbigay daw ako ng gift para [textspeak!] daw sila single forever haha

at eto pa mga nabasa ko haha

"Monday for health
Tuesday for wealth
Wednesday best of all
Thursday for losses
Friday for crosses
Saturday for no luck at all."

again we don't need to believe in this haha, just sharing kasi related sa topic, I know marami nagkakasal ng weekend

Hahahaha. That last one about being the eldest, I can vouch na hindi yun totoo hehe. Kasi I am the eldest, and yung 2 kapatid ko eh kinasal na both and walang nagbigay ng gift sa akin. hehe. But I am married na. Also, sinuot ko din yung wedding gown ko before my wedding kasi I was mending some things on it. And natuloy naman kasal namin.

How about borrowing the veil, both yung sinusuot ng bride and yung ginagamit sa church? May ganung pamahiin ba?

"A January bride will be a prudent housekeeper, and very good tempered.

A February bride will be an affectionate wife, And a tender mother.

A March bride will be a frivolous chatterbox, Somewhat given to quarreling.

An April bride will be inconsistent, or forceful, But well-meaning.

A May bride will be handsome, agreeable, And practical.

A June bride will be impetuous, And generous.

A July bride will be handsome, But a trifle quick-tempered.

An August bride will be agreeable, And practical as well.

A September bride will be discreet, affable, And much liked.

An October bride will be pretty, coquettish, Loving but jealous.

A November bride will be liberal and kind, But sometimes cold.

A December bride will be fond of novelty, Entertaining but extravagant."
