Not so much as shocking as ridiculous - a mother demanding a no-show fee to a 5-year-old boy for not attending a birthday party at a ski center (in UK). The meal and everything was prepaid per guest it seemed. Way to make sure her kid - the birthday boy - is embarrassed at school and his friends will be afraid to confirm attending to his future birthday parties.

^ nabasa ko nga rin yan. LOL! Sana if she badly needed the reimbursement e kinausap nya yung parents (personal or through a note). Hindi yung invoice agad, haha! Ang cheap lang. Sabi nga dun sa comments - lesson learned: don't throw a party you cannot afford. Nakakatawa pa, £15 lang naman, maniningil pa talaga.

And a coffeeshop in timog naholdup din and ginapos pa daw yung customers and staff. No safe place anymore!

Yung cousin ng mom ko committed suicide yesterday. Last week lang nagpunta sya sa mommy ko para manghiram ng money eh wala din extra yung mommy ko kaya di niya napahiram, umiiyak nga mom ko nung umuwi sya that day kasi awang awa daw sya kasi pang tuition daw ng anak na graduating student ata. Nagkataon naman wala yung mommy ko kasi knowing my mom, if meron yun pag umutang ka kahit di mo na bayaran. Imagine how devastated my mom was when she heard the news last night, sabi niya kung may pera sana sya buhay pa sana yung pinsan nya. Kasi daw she knows how it feels na ganun, we're 8 na magkakapatid and talagang ginapang nya yung gastos sa school namin. Grabe awang awa ako sa mommy ko kahit na sinasabi ko sa kanya na it's not her fault

@may12: well, statistically, safe pa rin ang air travel. think about it, around hundreds of flights around the world everyday, and hindi naman araw araw may plane crash. pero yeah, weird nga recently kasi late last year and early this year, ang daming plane related incidents
