I compiled every tips on here. Kung meron pa dagdag, post na lang. hehe Eto na yung list na print ko for myself.CHURCH: - Don't forget to check the contract before the wedding. Have your groom or your wedding coordinator (make sure s/he have your names spelled right written on a piece of paper) check for name spelling/ errors and such.- Make sure you have all the pages in your misalette.- Label flowers, boutonnieres and corsages properly.- Don't forget gifts for the offertory.- Make sure your readers know their part very well ( where to sit and when to stand up).- Have someone (if not hiring a wedding coordinator) collect your wedding symbols (bible, candles, arrhae, arrhae holder).RECEPTION: - Make sure pens are guestbook friendly.- Keep the reception program, and speeches, short, fun, and interactive. - Choose music that will cater not only to you and your groom, but to each and every one at your wedding. If possible, give your guests the freedom to request a song that they'd want to dance to. - Have a cocktail hour especially if you're not planning to serve food right away. - Make sure your wedding coordinator or an assigned friend have a copy of your seating plan.- Make sure your emcee knows how to properly pronounce your guests' names. - If you're playing canned music, always have backup materials. CDs should be burned in 2 formats, same with AVP, USB, or if you have HDD, the better.- If you're endorsing a laptop (i.e for AVP made by the couple) please don't forget to endorse the charger.- Make sure the souvenirs are placed in nice baskets or table for distribution.- Maybe if you will wear an heirloom jewelry, use it during the ceremony. It's probably ideal not to wear it at the reception where heavy dancing and interaction can take place, there's a small chance you'll lose it in the process.- Make sure your connections and cords between devices are compatible. If you need an adaptor, have it ready. - Have a bag ready of favours for your suppliers (if you're giving them any.)MISCELLANEOUS:- Prepare an emergency kit bag: lip balm, concealer, lipstick, hair gel, blotting paper, face powder, safety pins, bobby pins, stain remover (hydrogen peroxide or chalk), candies, chocolates, gum, bottled water, straw (for the bride for drinking), adhesives, tissue, an extra pair of slippers, paracetamol, loperamide, tums, lozenges, sewing kit, wipes, hair ties, tweezers, clear nail polish, nail file, nail polish remover, nail clippers, cotton balls, cotton buds, sanitizer, plastic bags/ paper bags, deodorant, eye drops, sanitary napkins, panty liners, floss, mouth wash, mirror. - Have someone to have an inventory of all the gifts (wrapped or monetary) and send them a handwritten thank you note.- The veil. Stay away from shiny ones it doesn't look good on pictures. Go for the soft, flowy kind (illusion tulle veil).- Stay away (as much as possible) from chocolate flavoured cakes. You don't want the chocolate stains caught in pictures and videos. - Make sure your husband to be is also prepared. Have him pack an extra set of everything (socks, underwear, inner shirts, cufflinks, slippers, etc.).- If it's important to you and your husband to be, ask your photographer to take a picture of the wedding symbols.- Have your prep documented.- Choose the wedding tradition that you want to do.- Label your payment envelopes with the supplier's name and amount, and make sure to seal it. So there's no need for the coordinator or whoever is going to settle the payment to open the envelopes.- Make sure that your gown fits well. Schedule your last fitting day closer to the wedding date if possible to lose chance of gaining or losing any more weight that your dress can't handle.- Create a list of the wedding details that you want to be covered by your P/V. This is very applicable to all the DIY brides, don't make your efforts go to waste.- Tell your P/V to take pictures and videos of your wedding guests. I think capturing their reactions/ emotions is just as important. - Take out containers for excess food and cake.- Designate 1-2 persons who will accompany you to the washroom. They will hold your gown (especially if it is heavy) while you pee and guard the door to the toilet.- Prepare an emergency kit bag for your coordinators or someone you assigned the task to (for all the DIY brides): markers, pens, pencils, scotch tape/masking tape, printing paper, stationery, post its, scissors, push pins, strings, ribbons, glue, stapler, paper clips.- Make sure you and your husband to be get enough sleep the day before the big day.- Eat enough before dressing up.- Pee before you wear your gown.- let go. Flaws in the plans and preparations may come. But whatever happens, the most important thing is to get married. Be happy and let go of the other possible sources of stress during the wedding day.
you're welcome gemwin21 & patriciasy595 And patriciasy595, I don't think ma- offend yung coordinator mo. You're the bride to be. Syempre you want your day to be perfect. Mahirap naman na kahit small detail e may nakalimutan ka pa.
Hello guys! Nice to meet you all! I'm new here. My wedding is 6 months away and i don't have most of the stuff. Panic mode too! Looking forward to reading more of your posts!
hi mga sis, yung offer ba sa church depende sa kanila, sino ba mag provide kami rin or kung sino yung mg ooffer? tpos may assigned lang magdadala. thanks in advance
Couple ang magpprovide ng offertory items sis^ and better ask your church ano preferred nilang item. Samin kasi, kami na raw bahala sabi ng church and yes, tayo rin magaassign sino magooffer, usually eto yung ibang importanteng tao na gusto natin isama sa ceremony.
Dont forget to make a list of your DIYs, then place them in separate containers - for church and for reception use. Schedule turnover of these items several days before your wedding. You can also give this list to your photographer/s or videographer so they can take pictures during your wedding para d masayang ang effort at ma-highlight pa in your SDE or sa raw photos.
