Off the top of my head, here are some of the details that I found important during our wedding day last week
- Worried din ako sa chocolate cake sa wedding tradition kase baka nga sa picture taking. I requested the caterer to change it to vanilla or mocha but 2 days before the big day, hindi pala na-change. So nag usap nalang kame ni Hubby na liitan nalang yung piece ng cake para hindi kailangan ng bonggang pag nguya, hehe! Success naman
- I was suppose to put chocolates in my bag pero diniscourage na din ako kase baka mag melt, kumalat sa bag, white pa naman. I had candies pero sa totoo lang, hindi ako nakaramdam ng gutom, hehe! If you're the type na madaling magutom talaga, you can have your MOH carry it with her.
- Be explicit with how you want your program to be run: meron mga parts sa program namin na hindi natuloy kase na-late yung wedding before ours so medyo late na nag start. Dapat 2 games kame ginawa nalang namin 1 game, tapos top 2 winners nalang (2 pairs of couples) kase 4 yung prizes namen supposedly. Pero dahil nasa harap naman kame nakaupo, madali kameng nabubulungan ni host to ask/confirm some parts kung go or no go.
- Pawisin kase ako so have a lot of tissue ready.
- Yung mga missalette, hindi na talaga kailangan ng madaming copies kase during exit from the church, nakita ko lang sila nasa mga upuan, hehe!
- Ako na din nag list ng photo ops sa end ng ceremony, double check this list with your guestlist (confirmed, etc) para walang ma-miss out na group (muntik na makalimutan sa'min yung mga amiga ni mommy na mga ninang ko sa binyag, pero hindi ninang sa kasal) kase yung groups na nalagay ko friends (HS, college), office, etc. Or pag inannounce ni commentator na immediate family of the bride, baka pwede niyo ipa-specify na this includes yung family friends.
- For the balance ng mga payments, we tried to settle everything even before the big day para pag dating ng wedding day, wala na masyadong inaasikaso. For us, complete payment na sila venue and caterer kase sila ang major suppliers and big amount. Ang sinettle nalang namin on the day is yung upgrade namin sa lights & sounds, beer, and OTD.
Except of course si photo/video, which the balance is paid when all the materials are done/turned over to us.
- Yung mga DIY details ko, naka-separate paper bags na sila 2 days palang before the wedding kase 1 day before nag check in na kame sa hotel so 2 days before kailangan ko na i-prepare. Kaya nung nag run down kame ni coord on the day ng mga DIY ko, naka-paper bag na lahat ng magkakasama.
