healthy program kinda like "sexy chef"
« on: September 04, 2013, 05:53:23 pm »
has anyone gone on a healthy weight loss meal plan program similar to the ones offered by sexy chef? i recently enrolled in one for a month (not based in phil). so they deliver me my meals for the day. a sample one would go:
breakfast - omelet with juice or milk
am snack - fruits
lunch - a salad serving or soup and a main lunch with veggies
pm snack - a little something sweet
dinner - a salad serving or soup and main dinner with veggies

I am not obese or anything. I just want to  be healthier , lose a bit of weight and get back in shape. Currently I am 5ft, weight is 122lbs, waistline is 32inches. I was put on an approx 1300 kcal daily. Napansin ko lang after a few days on the program ganito:
1. when i wake up in the morning as in hungry, as in sobrang feel mo na walang laman tiyan mo. It's not a good feeling.
2. Sabi kapag you feel hungry eat veggies na low calories like celery, zuchinni, carrots, lettuce, cucumber, etc... pero lumalamig lang ang tiyan ko at gutom pa din ako. I have learned to listen to hunger cues and hindi siya craving. ska unpleasant the feeling na malamig ang tiyan. Also, since i start meals with a salad dapat, malamig din sa tiyan. i did tried hot soup muna or green tea para to warm muna the tummy pero hindi siya gaano nakakatulong.
3. I am eating a lot of veggies so that is fiber, been drinking tons of water plus the green tea (loose leaf variety ) without sugar and i am exercising daily (brisk walking for 30minutes daily) pero nagiba - excuse lang po - ang poop movement ko.... its often after breakfast but now minsan afternoon na hindi pa din ako napupu.. it's a bit uncomfortable.. though i still move daily pero iba-iba na ang oras niya... so medyo dyahe when you are outside  :(

i mean to talk to my nutritionist about all these since we have a regular meet schedule. But i also want to hear opinions, suggestions and experiences from others who have also gone on a nutrionist planned healthy program like me. thanks!

btw, i am faithfully following the plan but i haven't lost anyweight or tape measure in a week  :(

I transitioned to vegetarian a few months ago and it's not easy. Baka drastic kasi [textspeak!] diet change for you sis. Plus the serving size. The typical Pinoy diet is Westernized kasi, unhealthy and big portions.

I say stick with it but share your observations to SexyChef. I try their meals, not their programs and it's good for me. I tried juice fasting too and can live with 6 bottles of juice during detox days. Just have veggies or nuts / seeds (walnuts, sunflower seeds) if you're hungry pa rin. Transition mo pag too drastic pero based on your sample meal, di ka naman yata nila ginugutom. :)

Also don't discount what your nutritionist says.

When I attended south beach diet program, the instructor said, when you're on a diet and you feeling weak because of starvation, eat boiled egg, it well fix you. when i started my diet, I followed what she said but sometimes boiled egg is not enough specially if your working.  my opinion listen to your body, when I am feeling weak due to lack of food, and feeling (sinisikmura) (sorry i cant remember the word now in English feel free to comment. lol.) because i have eaten raw vegetables everyday, I drink tea and have a whole wheat biscuits or any other solid foods, one day cheat is not going to ruin your diet. if you know how to cook better to modified your diet, I modified mine.  :)
