 :)

nag take ako ng steroids and ulcin dahil yun ang nireseta sakin ng doctor..
tapos nagpapa therapy ako atleast once a week..

and then yung iba naman weeks and a month lang gumaling na sila..
hindi ako nag take ng any vitamins pero number one na ginawa ko is PRAYERS
and support ng family, tapos kain ng fruits and veggies..

i thank God dahil gumaling ako fully last July.. :)

^I had bell's palsy when I was in high school. I have no choice but to still go to school despite having it since I don't want to waste one school year. It took me about more or less two quarters to fully recover and feel normal-ish again. After around 13 years, I am relieved that it was detected early and I was able to pass through it.

It all started one morning when I was eating my breakfast and I felt a slight numbness on my jaw so I didn't go to school then. Went to the doctor that morning and was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. Everything happened so fast that on the first few days as half of my face was paralyzed. My smile was different and I couldn't drink well from the glass or even using a straw. I could taste anything but the heightened taste oil on food which was the cause of my weight loss and was given a prescription for vitamin B (revicon). I had to make a conscious effort in blinking my eye in order for them to blink at the same time, if I wouldn't, the left eye would go on the third blink and the right would be only in the first ;) And at night, I had to put blanket on pillow on top of my face so my eyelid can close fully and I can sleep.

Kapatid ko po 21 years old nag ka bells palsy last february 2020.  super natakot po kaming lahat. I praise God for giving Dr Winnie Lim Khoo.

I was also diagnosed with this in January, literally the day after I got back to Australia from Manila so the doctors said I was probably immunosuppressed kasi medyo mahaba byahe namin and kaming 2 lang ng daughter ko so pagod talaga.

I saw massive improvement after 2 weeks lang. By the 3rd week, I was normal na. Actually by 2nd week nga, when people saw me at work, they couldn't see the difference na unless I smile really widely (I was able to smile but not super wide yet).

No medicines were prescribed. No PT sessions either. I only had acupuncture 3x a week during my 1st 2 weeks, and then 5x a week on my 3rd and 4th week. Facial massage 3x a day, hot pack 3x a day, facial exercises 3x a day, and then Vit B supplements.
