sisters, question lang. :) last month kasi nagdistribute ng BDO CC application form dito sa office. so, yung may gusto nagpass ng app form. now, dumating na yung cc ng boss ko. hahaha. meron na syang existing cc and obviously, mas malaki ang salary nya compared sa akin. it's my first cc sana. possible ba na declined na yung akin since dumating na yung card nya? no call interviews pa yun. dumating nalang bigla card nya. haha.

hay nako nakakainis lang yung citibank.. I called them thrice about sa cc ng mom ko (she passed away last Jan) then sabe mag email daw ako ng deathc ert. which I did twice pa to two different email add na binigay nila last month tas ngayon nagsesend sila ng bill and andaming late and interest charges.. nung tinanong ko naman kausap ko before sabe wait for email or call wag ko muna bayaran tas ngayon may late and interest charge na! nakakainis lang! due date pa nya immediately.. >:(

^^ bpi card na hindi mo naman nirequest? activated na yan sis, if i were you i would cancel it.

^ next time you call, ask for the agent's full name, state again that you mom has passed away. if may binigay na naman na ibang info, ask for the supervisor as this is the 3rd time. usually nagkukumahog sila if you ask for the supervisor na. DO NOT PAY for your mom's penalties, fault nila yan. better if you have names of the agents you talked to.

technically speaking, wala kayong dapat bayaran if the card holder passed away. may insurance companies nang nagcocover para dyan. pero better settle it and ask for a certification that your mom is fully paid to be mailed to you para malinaw.

yeah i will, thanks sis
i already talked with a banker and they are willing to terminate it naman though they pointed out that they are not giving cc without the consent of the cardholder.

yup. I have the names of the two person I talked to before. They usually ask for my mom's death cert. na sinend ko na naman na sa kanila. Idk why di man lang sila nagreply or call saken after getting my number din. Thanks btw, next time I call yan talaga gagawin ko I'll look for their supervisor na.. maxado ng matagal and nasstress na rin ako pati dad ko. May agent kasi na tumatawag din sa kanya about sa cc ng mom ko. sinabe na nga nyang wala na andameng pang sinabe and in the end wala rin.

so, dapat ba di na namin binabayaran yung mga unsettled balances ng mom ko? nagtanong kasi ako sa mga friends ko before may nagsabe dapat bayaran meron naman dapat di na kasi di naman kami nakapirma sa bank na kami magbabayad only my mom.

i got a call from BDo today she said "Maam qualified po kayo to get a card na jcb premiere" because my existing account kayo sa amin. (i am assuming pre approved card to) then she only asked for my address middle name and birthday tapos card will arrive within 10 business days daw. Pero at the end of call sabi niya maam upon approval pa rin po ito. ang labo lang

ganon din ba nasabi sa inyo when they offered you a pre approved card?

yes sis, ganyan din sabi sakin for bpi naman. tapos the day the card arrived i called their customer service hotline, ang sabi ng banker activated na raw yung cc. naguluhan din ako. i'm deciding now if ipa-terminate ko na lang.

^good kasi you can earn points, redeem discounts/freebies, pay for items in installment basis.

I like having a credit card kasi ayaw ko magdala ng malaking cash.
Other good things:
- Points/ Promos nila na magagamit mo
- If good payer ka, pwede mo pa waive ang annual fee mo
- Sometimes may promo just for you. Parang incentive since good payer ka.

As for the bad, kung wala kang discipline may tendency to overspend beyond your means. Kaya maraming cases na hindi nababayaran.

For me good. Why?  I dont havr to bring a lot of cash around with me. Then like what other sister shared, may mag promos na just for you since good payer ka. Plus like in my case, i save all the rebates which is 12k a year and then that one i use for shopping for christmas. Or sometimes use it for air fare. Di ba ang saya. Just always remember be respinsible. Dont use your card if you dont have the cash on hand to pay it in full. Kasi credit card can be your friend or can destroy you. But of course as long as may discipline ka, then it will be a useful tool for you

^yup pero hassle pa rin magpawaive. I have CITI na free for life, now MB is offering me one din. Downside is I have existing card with them. But when the agent offer me a free 3k Sanuk voucher eh umo o na ako heheh.

Last year, mabilis. The other year pahirapan.

Paano icancel yung credit card insurance? Paano kaya ipapa cancel yun? or do I need to Cancel narin may credit card? mare refund kaya yung kinaltas nila sa credit card ko? Salamat po sa mga sasagot.  :)

^ i dont know how they compute it, but they waive the fee once you request for it, but you will have to make purchases totaling to a certain amount for them to approve it.
