Citibank  and HSBC. Minsan depende din kung saang country.  Ideally you should bring a visa and mastercard.

we're good payor naman. we always pay in full every month. what i meant by outstanding balance is yung current bill namin for that month at di pa naman lagpas sa due date.

^Thats great. If they dont want to reverse, close your card. Its easy now to apply for a new credit card.

^ sis, binayaran na ni hubby in full yung bill last month including the annual fee. yung 50% reversal will reflect on this month's billing. i'm looking for strategies sana na ma-waived 100% annual fee ng BPI next time. wala akong problema sa pag-apply ng bagong cc, but hubby is my extension. hirap siyang ma-approve as principal cc holder kasi work at home ang nature ng job namin and wala pa siyang previous cc before this. BPI kasi offers no annual fee for the first extension kaya preferred ko siya. sa ibang cc ko, may separate annual fee pa ang mga supplementary cards.

as long as it has VISA, MC, JCB, Amex ore Union Pay logo, its good to use outside of country.  i prefer Visa and MC kasi hindi sila choosy.

^no sis, ang alam ko nga for new cc holders yun. I was able to get one, actually two cc, combined limit.

BPI also has a no annual fee for life promo.

Sorry for the late reply...

Sis Shinta: As long as wala kang installment or utang with the bank, madaling mag-request ng 100% waived.

*For abroad or online purchases abroad, BPI pinakamababang conversion. Citibank daw ang mataas.

*Sa Citibank promo, I think pag online ka nag-apply. Free for life din ako sa stall ako nag-apply.
May conditions ata yun, Dapat p180,000 ang purchase mo for 1 yr. Haha! Hindi ko na tuloy gamit yung free for life ko.

^ thanks sis. Try ko yan next time. Pero may condition ba talaga yung no annual for life ng Citibank? Di ko na kasi binasa yung TOC. Grabe naman. Akala ko no annual fee na talaga. Basta sabi lang niya no annual fee for life cc ko. 2 din binigay nila sakin.

I think na yun nga, you need to spend P180,000/yr to para ma-waive. Nasa website nila.

^P18,000/year lang, sis, nasobrahan ng isang zero. Very doable yung eighteen thousand within one year.

"...a one-time or accumulated purchase of P18,000 per year are required in order to avail of the promo."

Nakita ko na sis, 18,000/yr one-time or accumulated purchase. And kailangan enrolled din daw sa electronic statement within 60 days for the date of issuance. Here's the link: https://www.citibank.com.ph/gcb/promos/cards/08_ffl-free-annual-fees-for-life.htm?icid=PHNAU36ENHOMEHB01.

Ok na din, 18k/year is easy enough to maintain. Thanks for bringing this up.

I never liked haggling for the annual fees kaya mas ok sa akin yung gamitin nalang ang points. I was actually happy na meron ganon.

ONe is bench GC and one is SM GC?

"For multiple slips generated from the same store or establishment made within the same day, only one qualified charge slip will be accepted for redemption per Cardholder even if he has more than one qualified BDO Credit Card. Remaining charge slips will not be accepted. The cost of the treat redeemed through the use of the remaining charge slips shall be charged to the Cardholder’s BDO Credit Card."
