diba sa HSBC, you need to call their hotline first para maactivate ang new card/replacement card/renewal card?

^i think most card companies deliver their card "inactive" to prevent fraudulent activities. minsan applicable din yan sa replacement card for security purposes.

Hi all, Hubby applied for a citibank shell visa card online to avail of the no AF for life promo they have right now. Just wanted to ask, how long before the bank calls you and how long usually yung approval? Nakalagay kasi sa T&C you can only avail of the promo when your applications are subsequently approved during the promo period. Eh until November 30, 2014 lang yung promo. Enought time na ba yun for us to get approved?

TIA!

^usually 2 weeks approval, iba pa yun delivery siguro another week pa - si eastwest and metro they inform you through text kung approved. yun iba walang advise.  pag disapproved, you want hear anything from them.

Thank you bro :)

Is it okay if we follow up the application? Or just wait na lang?

^wait na lang. from what i know, customer service can only see those who were approved and give you status kunf na dispatch na.  if you ask bat hindi approve, wala talagang reason na maibibigay sayo.

i suggest, mag apply din kayo ng ibang credit card para sure. wala naman bayad yun eh unless ipa activate mo.

19 C) Any funds of CARDHOLDER that may now or later be in the hands of the ISSUER or any of its Related Companies will be applied and set off against any amounts due and payable on the CARDHOLDER's card account

Aw wala ka laban kung naka indicate na ganyan. Though why did you leave outstanding balance in your CC? Baka malaki na surcharges niyan..

Even if you pull out your funds, tagged as bad credit rating ka na unless you settle them.

I posted this at the BDO thread and I want to share it also to other credit card holder my experience with BDO

BDO SUCKS!

Just this afternoon on my way home, i received the notification of my charge on demand for my meralco that it was not approved. So I called their customer service asked why it was declined. I am sure for a fact that theres enough fund for the charge on demand since I only use their card for my Meralco charges. So when they checked, they simply told me that their customer representative have inputed a wrong reference number. So I told them but I charged it one week before the due date and yet nobody dared to inform me that there is something wrong with it. Btw, i have been charging my meralco to them every month for 3 years now and everything went smoothly. They sent the notification text message 2 days after my due date. From what I know the charge on demand is being approved in 3 banking days. So that meanS they still have 4 days to inform me, but no they did not. Then, so i asked them can you do recharging, all they told me is that as per policy since it is overdue already they cant do anything and that I have to pay it at Meralco. (Very nice right, after 2 days being overdue and it is not even my fault why it was overdue).

I am disappointed and told them what if their customer dont have cash on the spot to pay for their bills. That means they will their utilities disconnected and then again they said, im sorry we have inputed the reference number incorrectly but we cant do anything about it.

So there I have to rush to Meralco under scorching heat since I left my car at the maintenance shop. And they are lucky enough I have the cash to pay for it.

BDO dont give a s*** about their customers regardless if you are good paying customer. For three years i never had a late payment with my credit card. I pay my card in full one week before the due date. But because on how they handled my issue which is clearly their fault, I have decided to have my credit card with them cut for good.

ang higpit pala ng bpi when it comes to annual fee reversal, 50% lang inapproved sakin kahit halos every month eh more than 50% of my credit limit yung nagagamit namin. minsan nga sagad pa. ok sana kung sinabi na lang nila na mag-charge ng certain amount to waive the annual fee. parang gusto ko na tuloy ipa-cut.

parang sobrang sipag naman ng citibak magbigay ng credit line increase ngayon, kaka-increase lang nila sa limit ko and now nag-increase na naman kahit wala naman akong request..i noticed tinataasan nila everytime may big purchase ako (although never ko pa naman namax out yung limit)..

You can use your points for paying annual fees.

Even BPI increased our limits. We had big purchases too but not maxed out.

In-increase din ng BPI credit limit ko kaya akala ko 100% na yung waived annual fee. Di ko nacheck yung points. Next time na lang kasi binayaran na ni hubby yung bill.

Always reverse the annual fees. Don't use your points mga sis just for to pay your annual fees. You deserve these points in other rewards sa paggamit ng cc. If they reject to waive it, tell them to cut the card...

Based on my experienced, they will usually reverse if good payor ka but once you have outstanding or deferred transactions, they dont do reversal. Just today, i received my CB statement, 50% they charged me with annual fee. I will try to call them for full reversal, if they decline my request i will close my card. Wala naman akong outstanding balance. And true, madali naman mag apply ulit.
