I just had a serious, normal and matinong conversation with him about our plans the next coming weeks. At inask ko ulit siya about sa mga 'problems' namin and he responded without being irritated.

Baliktad ata kami ngayon. Lol.

My last relationship was with an abusive partner. He has hurt me physically even when i was pregnant. I stayed with him just to keep the "family". The last straw was when my son saw when we were fighting and my son got mad at him. That's what triggered me to leave and end the relationship. Not just for myself, because it was clear disrespect, but for my son, because i don't want him to grow up thinking that what his dad was doing is okay. it's been two months after the break up and i have not moved on yet, but i can say I'm less-stressed now than when we were together. I am a single mom and proud of it. :)

^That is good and right decision.

@Sugarrush- IMHO men who beat women are cowards, pathetic, at hindi tunay na lalake. Almost as worse as rapists. Kahit na ba uber-nagger ang babae, its still no excuse to raise his fists against a woman. May sira sa ulo yang partner mo as he can't control his fists. By the way you describe his actions, 99.9% Im sure nambababae yan. Will he change? I doubt. Does he recognize that its a serious problem in himself ba in the first place, or does he blame you or others for his violent tendency? There are a lot of very wise advices already posted here. For your and your children's sake, make an exit plan already. Start/build up your own financial reserves kaya tama yung job hunting mo. Meron din mga women's centers you can contact to provide psychological and/or legal help...

:) oo nga eh, and at least di naman kami nag-aaway ngayon.

It can happen again.
And you know, dahil nga he has a problem , it will happen again when something goes wrong. Please for your sake, tama nga,
make an exit plan.
You know you are not alone, and ang pinakaimportante dapat sis, love yourself first. So that you will realize nobody deserves to
take this kind of sh*t from anybody!
I know it's very very hard... I understand completely how you feel, in fact, I know you feel worse because there are kids involved,
but you can do it! It's not going to be easy, but it's going to be worth it
