^That's why I thought we should get our Marriage License here in dubai. Since both of us are Dubai Residents. But when I called Philippine Consulate here in Dubai, sa pinas daw kasi sa pinas kame magpapakasal.

Not sure sis. Mukhang di pwede. Kailangan talaga personal appearance kasi mag take ka ng oath in front ng abogado bago magsign. Thats for our case in manila city hall. Saka may pipirmahan kayo dun mismo

hermione28: Hmmm kwento lang. In my 1st wedding 10 years ago we never did a personal appearance to get our license in Makati City Hall. Hehe meron lang pumunta doon from my dad's office and we didnt take any seminars or whatever. I just sent an ID and authorization letter. But this was in 2005 pa and  I think may kilala sila that time hehe. But this time around we will be applying for the license the usual way in QC.

Anyway ask around kasi you might have a relative or friend who knows someone hehe. You know naman here in the Phils...

hi! bago lang ako dito. nagpaplan kami ng fiance ko magpakasal next yr dec, problema ko kung paano at saan kmi kukuha ng marriage license since andito ako working sa dubai and i only hane 1 month vacationper year. sabi kasi nila kelangan daw personal kaming dalawa na kukuha. san ba mas madali kumuha sa cavite o qc?

Hello! We've experienced getting our marriage license in QC City Hall. It takes a whole day since we have to attend that family planning seminar in the afternoon, then we have to return to pick it up after 10 business days kung walang problema. Ideally morning (about 9 or 10am) kayo pumunta para sure na you'll be able to process everything within that day at babalik na lang kayo for pick-up.

Also, a marriage license is only valid for 120 days. This means you have to do this process within 3 months before the wedding.

^ Hi sis. i don't think there is. kasi parang wala naman any document that can substitute for the birth certificate. saka kelangan kasi issued within 6 months yung [textspeak!] so better if ipaayos nyo na talaga [textspeak!] ni fiance. try consulting a lawyer or anyone connected to NSO, they may be of help.

marcee7 Sis, anong issue sa birth certificate? Wala atang ibang pwede ipalit sa birth certificate.

iba apelyido niya sis, iba din ang name ng father niya sa birth certificate. Sabi samin ihi-hearing pa daw sa korte yun. I'm sure mahabang proseso at malaking gastos to. Sorry if out of the topic na.

Iba as in mali spelling ng surname? Grabeng laking error nito, sorry pero dapat hinde pinatagal ng parents nor nya irectify or iammend, matagal talaga yan, ganyan sa Husband ko (mali spelling ng name 1 letter lang naman, pero bata pa sya inaayos na, may hearing pa talaga, bukod sa matagal tama ka, magastos din.

^sis, hindi ba pwedeng mag late filing nalang sya? kumbaga as if wala syang Birth Certificate so mag apply nalang sya ng panibago. baka less hassle pa

sis Rory_Lorelie_Gilmoreas,  iba ang apelyido niya . Iba din ang father na nakalagay. Inshort, parang hindi niya pala totoong tatay yung kinikilala niyang tatay. (which is patay na) Nalaman lang namin nung ng process kami ng requirements para sa pagkuha ng marriage license. First time niya kasi kumuha ng NSO nun. Dati naman kasi hindi ganun ka istrikto pagdating sa birth certificate. Kaya late na namin nalaman.

ex b.f ng mother niya sis. Actually wala ng paki si partner kung sino talaga ang totoong tatay niya. Okay na daw siya at  may nakilala siyang tatay. Gusto lang niya maayos [textspeak!] birth certificate niya. Pero para sakin importante parin na malaman niya ang totoo.

Tapos kanino naman apelyido ang nakalagay sakanya sa birth certificate? Yung sa bioligical father ba nya? Or dun din sa ex BF ng nanay nya? Kung kagaya ng sinabi mo wala naman na sya pakialam kung sino man tatay nya, can't he just let it go? Panindigan na nya na yun tatay nya, (since his real father passed away na) at yun apelyido nya (kung pareho sa nakalagay na tatay sa birth certificate nya).

Hi everyone, meron ba naexperience dito getting married abroad?
We are both here in PH but planning to get married civil next year pero hopefully hindi sa pinas. Just to save money for the honeymoon trip.
