Marriage License Application

My fiance and I went to the Las Pinas City Hall to file for our marriage license this afternoon.
We arrived before 4pm at the civil registry since my fiance had work until 3pm.  After quickly filling up the necessary forms and gathering the required documents, we were ready to pay at the cashier at around 4.40 pm.  We were confident that they would still accept our payment since its not yet 5:00pm.  To our surprise, the woman behind the counter told us ,"tapos na ang processing ng payments at balik na lang kayo bukas."  Sabi ko wala pang 5:00pm ah. While my fiance and I were talking about who would return tomorrow, bigla sabi ng babae pwede na daw.  So my fiance stood in front of the cashier again and passed our documents and payment while i sat down.  Now here's the thing, in their official website and in the signage on their wall, the marriage license fees are clearly posted as P152.  Eto na, sabi nung babae  kailangan daw ng P100 pang notary.  My fiance didnt comment anymore and just gave the money over.  She didnt issue a receipt.  It was clearly "LAGAY".  My fiance just told me about it when we were in the car already.

Oh well sis...what can i say????nomal na yata hehe...anyway, isipin mo na lang for the cost of 100.00 u dont have to return pa tomorrow and save u the hassle of taking the leave off work and lining up...chillax na lang....

we also applied for our license in Las Pinas. we went there on a Saturday morning. we had our forms filled out already before we went there kasi excited ang mama ko and went there ahead of time to ask the how-to's. that's when she got to know someone who'll "help" us.

ok na din kahit di ko na-feel ang "tulong" nung nakilala ng mama ko. natakot lang ako na baka maging "feeling close" sya samin kasi when we were there, may kausap sya sa phone at nagde-demand sya ng mango bravo as bday gift daw. ayaw ko na umabot sa ganun ang "paglalagay"

we paid 550. we were just there for i think 15 minutes lang.

hayaan mo na sis chinita2700. isipin mo na lang na naka-save kayo ng energy by not going back on another day para magbayad.

We also experienced the same thing in Lipa City naman.
We paid 220 for processing daw... pero wala din resibo..
then 8 daw for photocopy. hahaha. e diba pag sa office nyo na yung photocopy, wala na dapat bayad yun. hahaha. tapos 100 nga din para sa notaryo... wala din resibo kaya ewan ko din,. hehe.

 We had experienced the same sa QC City Hall when we applied for a marriage license for our civil wedding. Super bagal at mukhang tamad magtrabaho mga andun unless may lagay ka sa kanila.Nagkalat din ang mga fixers!  :: May lumapit pa nga sa amin at nakipag-kaibigan then she asked if Nursing ang course ko at kung pasado na daw ba ako sa board. I told her na di po ako nurse and yes,board passer/licensed na po ako to practice my profession..Ang sabi ba naman sa akin eh kung may kamag-anak o kakilala daw ako na di pa nakakapasa sa board she can help. of course, mapag-uusapan daw ang presyo. Waaah! Tsk! Nalowka ako dun eh!

 Same s*** happened when we waited sa releasing ng marriage certificate sa NSO. Wala pang time eh pack-up na sila?  Kita ko sa windows yung mga empleyado na nagsisipag-suklayan na at ayos-ayos ng mukha at make-up preparing to go home na ang peg nila.

Kakainis lang talaga. Kung di mo lang talaga kailangang-kailangan ang mga documents.

ngayon pa lang prob ko na pagpa-file ng marriage license. oz kasi si fiance & ilang days lang stay dito sa pinas. so kung hihintayin ko sya para sabay kaming mag-file hindi kakayanin yong 10 days processing. balak naming magpa-civil by january sa cebu para konti na lang prob ko by july (beach wedding). nagtanong na ako sa taguig & cebu mukhang hindi kaya ng powers ko sana makahanap ako ng makakatulong sa akin para by november ma-file ko na ML

hello mga sis, just want to confirm kung san ba dapat ipapafile ang marriage license. Sa hometown ng either bride or groom tama ba? Hindi sa city kung saan ikakasal? TIA!

@ miss_k tama ka sis. Yung signed marriage contract and marriage license ang sa city kung san ikakasal.

Had an issue witht the city hall of marikina yesterday when i expected better service from them.
Sa application form ko, US name ng dad ko ang nakalagay when we applied then I asked the girl sabi ko papalitan ko nung name nya na nasa [textspeak!] ko. sabi nya siya na daw magpapalit.
Then yesterday yung release, when my mom went there, hindi pa ready. Gagawin pa lang. The yung US name yung nakalagay. Kaasar. I should have not listened to her. Now kailangan papalitan kasi baka magkaproblem pa kami kapag sinubmit na after the wedding. I think they will be charging us again. Kaasar.

Correct sis sa hometown  either ni  bride or groom.

Anyone applied here for a civil wedding in manila city hall? Im having a hard time kasi, every time na pupunta ako dun and magtatanong about sa civil wedding may sasama samin papunta sa office and lagi sa 2nd flr. Hinihingan kami ng 5k lahat lahat na documents na daw yun cenomar, marriage license etc. And hndi na daw need umattend ng seminar eh diba required yun feeling ko mga sis fixers yun. Please help me naman. Tia!

100 for Pre-Marriage counselling/family planning (8:00 am-3:00 pm sched)
200 Marriage License filing fee
      Cedula sis syempre depende sa income nyo...
 215 Cenomar sa SM ako nag request sis

Sis nsa 1k lang magagastos nyo pag kayo ang nag ayos and masaya
din yung pag attend ng seminar...

^ Your welcome sis.. naku sis hindi pwede dapat at isa sa inyo ang taga Makati. Isa sa mga requirement ay residence certificate to make sure na taga Makati.

Dun kayo sis mag tanong sa taga City Hall talaga...
AKo nag search lang muna sa net ng requirements
and procedures kaya pag punta namin alam ko na
agad kung anong floor saka dala na nmin mga requirements.

request kana agad ng Cenomar sis kasi mga 10 workings days
sa SM (pag mas gusto you ng mas cheaper) mas mahal kasi sa
on-line pero mas mabilis (3 days lang yata)

We paid 350 plus lang sa Paranaque.
200 for application fee with receipt naman
150 sa notary
6 pesos for photocopies
less than one 45 minutes.. done na kami!

planning to file our marriage license tom. sa Pasay City Hall kami since taga-Pasay si h2b. Sana mabilis [textspeak!] process para may iba pa kami magawa.sayang kasi VL e.

hi mga sis,

question lang about CENOMAR. kasi di ba may six months validity ito. eh as per NSO walang expiration ang mga issued documents nila.

san ba nag based ang mga church? sa date requested or sa date paid?

^sis eleine26 kami sa City Hall requirement ang CENOMAR tinitignan yung
receipt (wala kasi nakalagay na issuance date sa birth cert except that naiiba iba ng color every
year yata sa NSO-based from my observation lang sis).

Sa Church namin   sis hindi naman kasama sa requirement yung CENOMAR, pero
nag request kami CENOMAR Oct. 8 na and nakuha namin ng Oct 14.. so pasok pa rin
sa validity period ni Makati City Hall na not more than 6 mos.
