3 year old toddler drinking full cream milk -- any opinion?

I am confused.  My daughter's milk is bonakid 1-3 right now and my SIL said that I can switch her to full cream milk like bear brand or alaska since hindi na siya pala milk, pag madaling araw lang nakaka dalawang 7 oz siya kung minsan, sa araw naman madami na ang 12 oz sa maghapon kasi kumakain naman siya.

Is this safe? I mean, ok lang ba na iswitch ang 3 years old sa ganitong milk? Sa totoo lang mahal pa rin ang Bonakid para sa akin tapos minsan ang 5 oz na pinatitimpla ng anak ko hindi man lang gagalawin tapos magpapatimpla ulit, ayaw na inumin yung huling timpla.

hi sis i think it's ok to switch your milk na as long as she's eating a balanced diet. actually i read from an article that children over two should drink low fat milk na. my pedia also said it's ok, my daughter who's 4 doesn't like to drink her formula na din, but she likes fresh milk so i just give her low fat. not much on chocolate drinks also daw kasi those are full of sugar. hope this helps

thank you sis. I hope other moms can also give their POVs about this so it can help me decide whether to switch or not. Fresh milks are way cheaper that formula milk din eh.

yeah that's so true, my daughter's formula was enfakid a+ tapos nasasayang  nga lang din dahil di iniinom. just make sure daw to make her drink 2 to 3 glasses of fresh milk sabi ng pedia

daughter ko nagfresh milk na rin nung nag 1 year old na siya deretso na sa baso. mas ok pa nga kesa  sa powdered milk.

my daughter switched to fresh milk/whole milk since 1 1/2 sha. she doesnt eat anything except milk.
she weighs 40lbs now. by the way shes 2 years old.

sensitive lang naman during the first year.. pero after 1 year old ng baby, pwede na ang full cream. dati naman formula lang naman at full cream na eh. wala namang 1+ /3+ at 6+ noong araw.. marketing nalang naman yata yun.  pwede na rin ang fresh milk sa 1 year old above.   

Nung kaka 1yo lang ng baby ko, we switch to lactum.. then yung pedia nagadvise na paghaluin ang fresh milk at yung lactum for more calorie intake daw kasi that time need mag gain weight ng baby ko. kaso ayaw naman ng baby ko ng lasa.. so we stick to lactum since hiyang sya dun at maganda bowel movements nya.. nakahabol naman sa weight..dahil na rin sa solid food.. binibigyan ko rin sya ng fresh milk lang, kaso ayaw di nya nauubos..

try mo muna yung full cream, pwede ka naman magexperiment ng mga brand kung saan gusto nyang lasa or kung saan siya hiyang.

You can (and actually should) give fresh milk, full cream or low fat, to a 3 year-old.  Follow-up milk formula has a high sugar content which does not make it superior to fresh milk.  Witness the emergence of overweight kids nowadays.  I think it has something to do with a high-sugar, high-fat diet.  Milk commercials for toddler, preschool, growing up, etc. milk are very influential and make parents believe that these are better when actually, they are not needed by a toddler or preschooler for calcium requirements.  Good old fresh milk will do.

Focus on feeding your child with a balanced diet of nutritious food: vegetables, fruits, meat, grains.  Milk should not be the main source of nutrition at this age.

If mag full cream milk na ang daughter ko, hindi naman kailangan lagyan ng sugar diba? Iniisip ko rin kasi yan kung lalagyan o hindi.

^ no need to add sugar with full cream or to any kind of milk.

I use full crea, for my son since he was 2 and half yrs old. Wala naman problem. My pedia adviced me to give anchor.

Thanks sa mga feedback mga sis. I am relieved na pwede pala talaga sa toddler na ganun. Kung sabagay, totoo naman na dati walang mga milk na 1-3 mga ganun.

My son is 4 years old and he dosnt want to drink his milk anymore. nasusuka na siya sa milk niya so I decided to switch him to Nido Full Cream milk. He likes it. 2x a day nalang naman siya umiinom and minsan once a day nalang kung sobrang dami niyang nakain.

May question ako mga sis, we are still using feeding bottles. Pano ang scooping nun pag full cream milk ang gagamitin?
Uunti untiin ko na rin tatanggalin yung bottles niya this year para next year wala na talaga bottle.

full cream din gamit ko during bfast ng 5 yo son ko, kasi ihalo nya sa cereals nya..pero sa afternoon and before going to bed formula milk naman cya..gusto nya kasi lasa ng progress gold kasi creamy din hay mga bata ngayon sobrang choosy!

reb_woods - yung sa nido kasi maymeasurement sa can. 250 ml/3 tablespoon nido. yun ang sinusunod ko. timpla muna ako sa measuring cup then transfer sa bottle.

BUmili ako ng maliit na Birch Tree itatry ko kung magugustuhan niya. May konting natira pang bonakid sa gabi ko ipapainom para hindi sayang.
