Baby's hygiene
« on: August 06, 2013, 01:48:03 am »
Mga sis pa-share naman ng tips on how you keep your babies smell fresh all day long. My baby just turned one year old and pagdating ng hapon umaasim na ulo niya ang lago kasi ng hair. I bathe her once daily then punas lang sa gabi. I wash her feet thoroughly naman. Please share your routine mga sis. Thanks!

My daughter is really sweaty too - to keep her smelling fresh and so that she's not covered in sweat all the time we place a lampin on her back or frequently change clothes. I also dress her lightly so her skin can breathe. And yes, at times we do use powder - curash.

Same with her feet, they can get sweaty and have the "asim" smell. Again we put curash. It kinds helps but she does need a bath at the end of the day.

sweetestcorn - when my son was using j&j tap to toe wash, tanghali pa lang, maasim na amoy nya. we shifted to lactacyd and ok naman sya dun. so i guess, hiyangan din ang soap/shampoo. when he turned 1, gumamit na rin ako ng powder and cologne. i pu the cologne on his shirt, not on his skin or him directly. we also change clothes around 2-3 times a day. also, ever since he turned 6 months, twice a day ko na sya paliguan ko keep him fresh sa gabi, minsan nga 3 times a day pa. pag hindi ko napaliguan sa tanghali, pinupunasan ko yung buong body.

with regard to the feet, you can use powder. use socks na lang whenever closed shoes ang gamit nya. make sure lang na tuyo ang feet before putting on the socks. punasan din maigi yung spaces between toes.

for brushing, since twice a day naliligo si bulingit, twice a day rin ang brushing of the teeth, lalo pa increased solid food intake na sya. my son is 17 months old and he already has 18 teeth.

yup, same with the others here. my baby takes a bath twice a day, sabay sa routine ang brushing of teeth. she wears light and breezy clothing, open chinelas or sandals or crocs lang when she plays. pag pinawisan, palit agad ng damit. we use baby powder din on her. hiyangan din sa toiletries but my baby's not sensitive, thank god.

hi mga sis!

my son is 5 months old. when he is just 2 months old sabi nung SIL ko pwede daw sya paliguan ng 2x a day kasi ganun ang gawa nya sa pamangkin ko... natatakot naman ako kasi baka sipunin or magkasakit since premature sya.

What do you think mga sis? at kung 2x nga what time sa hapon or gabi sya pwede paliguan?

Thanks!

^ My children were also premature babies and ever since, they take a bath at least twice a day: noon time and before bed time dati noong babies sila and now that they're 6, they take a bath each morning before school, after school and before bedtime.  Mas fresh ang pakiramdam nila if they take a bath before bedtime.  Hindi naman sakitin ang mga anak ko (never been hospitalized) and hindi naman dry ang skin nila since we use gentle body wash and apply baby lotion.

Mga anak ko rin, at least twice a day.

My 1year old son takes a bath 3x a day since he was 4 months old. Ever since kasi malikot sya na baby kaya pawisin. Usual routine is daytime bath at 8am since he is up by 6am, shower around 12nn (no shampoo, light soap sa mga pawis areas, then night time bath before 6pm (w/ shampoo para mabango hair nya pagtulog). By 7-8pm tulog na sya.
Pag rainy day at malamig morning at night bath lang plus punas sa 12nn.
Pag nagpoop was with water and soap, pagwiwi lang, punas before maglagay ng lampin.
Mabango yun pigeon shampoo, long lasting sa malikot at pawisin kong baby boy.

My 3 year old is really sweaty din. She takes a bath twice -- once in the morning and evening. I always make sure na lageng may pamunas and extra shirt especially on hot and humid days. We also tie her hair in small ponytails para mas comfy and hinde nakasabog ang hair sa face.

My toddler also takes a bath twice a day, shampoo only once, in the am before going to school. I never use baby powder kasi me asthma siya and I only started using cologne sa shirt niya last month. Toothbrush every after meal (3x a day). He is super pawisin lalo na yung head niya so I make sure na laging me towel na pamunas. He is 3.8  yo.

Hi mga sis. My baby is almost a month pa lang pero super pawisin niya.

^Sis ganon talaga pag may folds yung skin, umaasim yung amoy kapag may trapped sweat and moisture. Ganyan yung daughter ko when she was a baby cus super layered sya.

Just wash it and dry it properly after every bath and ensure na pinupunasan din yung sweat sa mga folds every now and then. You can put a little bit of powder too if you want.

^once a day lang din namin pinapaliguan si baby and then punas before going to sleep. ni-try ko din kasi liguan sa gabi kaso inubo sya.. could be coincidence lang din na inubo si baby at may other cause ang ubo pero ni-stop ko na muna.. sa summer at pawisin pa rin si baby, would probably try again kung mas gusto ni baby na ligo din sa gabi. nakakatulog naman din ng mahimbing sa gabi kahit sponge bath lang :)
