US TV: The Killing

Anybody else watching this show? Saw the latest episode, and it was intense. I don't wanna go into too much detail kasi sobrang spoiler, just wanted to say that it actually left me teary-eyed. Yes, affected ako, haha.

I know all about its low ratings and the fact that it's been cancelled before, and feeling ko baka hindi na rin nila ire-renew after this. Only a few more episodes to go before the season ends. Sayang, Linden and Holder together is seriously something I would look forward to watching every week.

Gusto ko rin ng BFF kagaya ni Holder, LOL. And somebody please give Mireille Enos an Emmy already; that woman can act.

I quit watching this show after Season 1 when they didn't actually reveal who killed Rosie Larsen. I was debating whether to do that, since I like both lead stars (Enos is wonderful!). But the story just didn't hold me enough to stick to it. I tried watching Season 3, since it's a different murder, but I still couldn't stick with it. It's not the show, it's me. 

I know of a friend who was able to watch the original Norwegian version (she's also a Girltalker, si bugs) and she liked it waaaaay better than this US version.

If you're looking for something similar, Brit TV  has BROADCHURCH, which is just as intense as The Killing (maybe even more, and more critically acclaimed), but everything wraps up when the season ends (short lang, 8 episodes).

Was never wowed by the story either (all three seasons). Even the season 3 finale was somewhat of a letdown for me, but the acting was great. I just really liked Linden and Holder and how rainy and gloomy everything looked all the time, LOL. Yes, I've heard a lot of praise for the original version. Should probably check it out.

Thanks for the Broadchurch recommendation! First time I've heard of it. Will check that out, too.
