I think people are mistaking her passion for pagiging-OA. She's someone who loves what she's doing and I that shows. Also, I love that she's straightforward, none of the empty platitudes that the other judge offers.

One more thing, I love that she's still proud of her old movies. Diba, kung iba yun, cringe fest. Pero sya wapakels sayaw tayo ng pik-pak-boom why the hell not!

Honestly ang nanay ko negative talaga kay Lea, well the way she communicates kasi lalo na before mashadong parang pilit raw lalo na kapag nag eenglish. Basta hindi niya talaga type si Lea at all. In my case naman I am not her fan saka hindi ako negative sa kanya kasi mas kaya ko naman itolerate yung pagiging OA niya na she can handle it saka hindi naman trying hard. I have to admit na gusto ko talaga ang singing performance niya lalo na in terms of Disney songs kung kaya nga siya naging Disney Legend eh! Saka pansin ko the way she talks lalo na in English parang parating fantastic na pang Disney talaga in which yun talaga naging puhunan niya. I have to admit that she is our Pinoy Pride too. Siya nga ang kinukuhang kumanta minsan sa big event ng sea games ata yun na ginawa sa Dubai. Saka sensible naman siyang magsalita eh! Kapag icocompare ko siya sa ibang singers lalo na mga foreigners mas naaappreciate ko talaga ang version ni Lea. Kapag may kumanta na iba ng On My Own and I dreamed a dream lalo na yung mga hollywood stars honestly nakukulangan na ako sa kanila dahil siempre narinig ko na itong kay Lea. Kaya kung gustuhin ko man magkaroon ng ganung kanta I would really rather have Lea's version kasi mas challenging.

Count me in! I'm a Lea fan since bata pa ako. I listen to her music growing up. Walang kupas, looks and talent wise.

Naalala ko dati may interview si Lea about Sana Maulit Muli (yung movie nila ni Aga) and kinekwento nya na lagi daw sha nireremind nung director na liitan ang scale ng movements nya kasi movie set yun at hindi stage.  Sanay daw kasi sha sa big gestures, loud voice projection kasi nga pag play kelangan yung taong nanonood sa pinakadulo ng room eh marinig at maintindihan sha.

I really like Lea, I always have. Talented, smart, classy, opinionated, "real" - rare qualities in today's showbiz scene.

For me Lea is a PERFECT example of someone who is "real" but is able to maintain her class even when she makes a stand or disagrees with others. Yung ibang fantards, when they try to excuse their idol's bad behavior, laging ginagamit yung "ok lang kahit na bastos/walang modo/tactless/etc..... AT LEAST TOTOO" rationale,  as if it is IMPOSSIBLE to be real in showbiz and STILL maintain your dignity and class. Gusto ko laging i-cite si Lea - she keeps it real and genuine and can be brutally honest without being palengkera.

I also like the fact that most her close friends are those she went to school with when she was a child or those she grew up with. Even at the height of her fame, she never became a social climber or a trying hard "celebrity-socialite".

TBH, mas prefer ko nga si Lea Salonga to other "transparent" celebrities like let's say, Tita Bisaya--it's better to be feisty with CLASS.

Napanood ko yung concert niya sa youtube yung kasama niya si Ai Ai Delas Alas, kahit nga yung mga pang masa na songs carry na carry niya, sa totoo lang class pa rin yung dating niya. Ang galing pa rin niya magdala.

Just saw this video of Lea and Kuh Ledesma in youtube. No wonder she's a perfectionist when in comes to performances. At bata pa lang talaga siya straight englisht at straight tagalog talaga magsalita.

I heard an interesting rumor about lea a few months ago. before she did the voice. in fairness sa kanya, she is very classy and provides that "no holds barred, no drama" feistiness that a singing judge should have. im sure the contestants can find her intimidating because of that but that only molds them into better performers. I also find her pretty and very well-dressed. I like that she doesn't succumb to the tendencies of actresses/celebrities who are getting older and who dress younger or sexier to hang on to their youth.
