1st Bday party -- with few kids
« on: July 18, 2013, 03:06:33 pm »
My baby's first Bday is this coming October. I'am starting to organize a birthday party for him since it will be just me to do everything. Si hubby lang yung financer. hehe...
Here's my dilemma..we only have a few kids to invite, 10 max [textspeak!] kasi we only plan to invite close relatives and friends only. Do i still need to hire a magician for kids entertainment?
Baka meron na dito nag party sa Fridays , The Old Spaghetti house (MOA / or  Alabang) i need feedbacks po.  Or any buffet resto with a function room

Help pls.. TIA

My daughter is the first grandchild on both sides of the family and in terms of the extended family, we had less than 10 kids. I didn't bother with getting entertainment anymore. Kids will be kids, they still had fun running around and playing with each other. You can setup a corner with toys or an activity and they'll still have fun.

Thanks khriseeee and stormy! sis kriseee parehas tayo ng iniisip. Im thinking of sitting all the kids in one table since they know each other nanaman and have their own set menu served at their table and give them a special give away na lang. :)
As in kain lang ??

That same time sa other side, birthday party :) May decors rin sila, tapos may host. Pero hindi ako sure if in-house or third party.

Hi sis,

same as mine. My baby will celebrate his 1st birthday this October and ang range lang ng mga kids eh less than 15 kaya iniisip ko na ok lang yung kakain lang tapos konting  give aways sa mga kids and i plan to buy [textspeak!] mga small /big pools (luau party/mickey theme ng party niya) and ill just put un mga inflatable na balls..or soft balls..balloons etc para may place sila na pwede magplay and sa venue na dapat na kukunin namin may play ground din kaya ok.

pero we're still looking around..and yes husband ko lang din ang financier kasi i resigned na din sa work.

thanks

Hayyyy... i want my baby's party to be memorable kasi bunso ko to. Yung eldest ko, we had it in a resort. We had kids for guests then kasi yung mga bisita namin may mga maliliit pang kids. Now, yung mga batang yun are not kids anymore and some also relocated na kaya im only left with my nieces and nephews and a few kids of friends.
Sumasakit na ulo kakaisip how to make his bday special even without the usual kids entertainment.
Iniisip ko kasi since mostly adults and guest, splurge na sa food since wala na namang gagastusin for entertainment.
Parang may hands on kitchen activity ata ang mga kids. Has anyone here tried this ? feedbacks please.

We attended a birthday party where the parents rented a Hot Wheels tableau/ race set-up complete with cars.  Less than 10 kids din.

For girls, dress up dolls or tea party with small tea sets.

If the space permits, rent an inflatable slide. Super hit with kids of all ages.

was able to attend din a birthday party na walang entertainment kasi konti lang ang kids. what the parents of the celebrant did naman is to set up an art corner for the kids. enjoy naman yung mga bata and this kept them busy.

My baby's birthday din ganyan. Estimate ko less than 10 kids ang dadalo. No programs but no dull moment. Daldalan and sing-a-long to the max lang. Isama na ang inuman :) as for the kids, kuluntoy na ang mga daliri nila ayaw pa magsiahon.

Nagrent na lang din ako ng videoke para sa mga matatanda and after party. May nakita ako make your own cupcakes.

No program at all sis. The kids enjoyed themselves, playing with each other and running around.

If you really want something for the kids then do what the others suggested - put up a play area.

this is also my dilemma, Aug 4 na birthday ni baby and still undecided kung kukuha pa kaming host/magician. I don't want to spend another 2k for a host, 2 hours lang naman ang party. and sa invitation ni baby nilagay ko talaga na "no mascot, no clowns, no magician! just you, me and my family!" so they won't expect, gusto lang talaga ng simple party, di pa naman ma appreciate ni baby yon. Siguro magpapalaro lang kami ng 2 games for the whole fam: "draw the birthday boy (caricature - once guests arrive i'll hand them pencil and papers, para while waiting for other guests busy na sila sa pag draw)" and "bring me."  What do you think mga sis?

Same dilemma sis before. My son's 1st birthday party and Christening will be on Oct as well.

At first I was planning on renting a game booth (basketball) since our theme is Miami Heat. Kinontra ni hubby kasi dagdag gastos lang daw and since our venue is a covered basketball court naman so may space sila to run around and play basketball din if they like. We will just get chocolate fountain and food carts na patok sa mga bagets and patok din sa mga bagets at heart para sulit. And they can cheer naman sa mga dads nila na sasali sa basketball game during the party. We will just provide them with balloon clappers that will serve as giveaways na din. It's really a party for the grownups, haha.

joining...

same dilemma here... since we'll be renting a resort for my daughter's first bday (this september na!!!!), i have no idea how many kids will be able to attend. We'll have it kasi sa Los Banos and most of the guests are coming from [textspeak!], Antipolo and the rest from other towns in Laguna pa so ang hirap mag-estimate how many will bring along their kids..kaya im only counting on the kids sa side ng family namin and ng hubby ko..and parang more or less 15 yun...

my friends are suggesting na mag-ask na lang ako ng favor from friends na kaya naman maghost since konti lang naman ang kids...im thinking, bili na lang ako inflatables na ikakalat sa pool, siguro one for each kid para yun na rin yung give away nila... salamat sa mga tips dito and im looking forward for more mga sis!  ;D ;D ;D

i also have a few kids for my child's 1st birthday. around 15 lang.... balak ko na lang to hire a host/game master to facilitate the program and games para di maging boring ang party. wala pa rin akong nahahanap to host the party... sa august na yung party.

I attended a party, recently lang. konti lang ang kids so they had someone from the family "host" the event lang. The host welcomed the guests, "interviewed" the parents (message, etc) and led the group into a happy birthday song, photos etc.

then they played a movie (cartoons) for the kids while the rest of the group ate, etc. ok yung party, relax lang sya. pero konti lang din kami na guests.

My son's first birthday din last year konti lang yun mga kids, masaya naman kahit papaano kasi I just added some things that they can watch like the bubble show, then photobooth and face painting. Sa games naman mas masaya ang mga adults kasi mas marami sila at the same time mas nangingibabaw yun ingay at mga tawa nila. :) While the adults were having games, yun mga kids naman tuwang tuwa sa pag-oobserve nung sa face painting corner, mas gusto nila dun nanonood. :) Aside from that nag-enjoy naman din sila sa food and sa candy corner kasi balik sila ng balik. Tuwang tuwa nga yun photographer kasi yun mga ibang kids they even show up their colorful tongues from those colorful candies, yun iba naman they enjoyed the chocolate fountain. Masaya naman yun birthday kahit na di ganun kadami yun kids kasi you can easily entertain everyone. As per the photographer I rented he said na natutuwa sya sa mga kids din kasi game na game silang magpapicture.
