All about Breastpumping part 4

Share ko lang, i attended a seminar today sponsored by Medela House and I did learn a lot! Now Im even more convinced that I want to breastfeed. Hindi pa kami bumili though coz kelangan pa pala mag set ng appointment si they can discuss with you the options. Hindi ko lang din alam if i should buy now or wait til I give birth. Iniisip ko kasi baka pag after giving birth pa eh wala na ko time nun eh ang layo pa naman samin ng Medela. Kaso if I buy now, may chances kaya na masayang sya? Like maybe electric is better or manual is better pala.

Hmm.. Di pa rin ako maka decide which and when to buy. Hehe! Oh my.
I'm a SAHM naman but I have a preschooler. No yaya. So I'm thinking baka mas mabuti na electric.. and feeling ko mas madami ako maiexpress na milk if electric tapos double? ^_^ may mga nabasa naman din ako na mas nahiyang sa manual. Ayan tuloy paisip isip ako. Pero just the same, manual or electric pump man, talagang promise ko magexclusive breastfeeding ako. Yey! Goodluck sakin.

freshpicks, I think better na bumili ka before you give birth. Ako I bought my pump nung 6 weeks na si baby. Yun nga lang, nagka-problem ang medela house with customs. Hinold yung pumps nila, so after a week ko pa nakuha. Buti naka-pump ako enough before I went back to work

Amazon ako nakabili ng avent sealing disc ko.. si baby kasi ayaw sa avent bottles mas feel niya pigeon ang mamahal pa naman ng avent naging storage bottles nalang tuloy

sis diba you can use Pigeon silicone nipples sa Avent bottles.. A friend told me about that. kasi sa Pigeon din nauna yung baby ko..

^yes sis. this is what we did. until now pigeon peristaltic nipples gamit ng baby ko. then when i added bottles, i opted for regular wide neck bottles like kindercare. mas mura kasi.

hi mga sis nag increase naman ang milk supply ko on my third week na ngayon from 2.5 nakaka 4 ounce na ako (both breast)

I recommend medela freestyle i got mine from medela house. totoo na mag iincrease ang milk supply if ipalatch mo ng ipalatch si baby at the same time kumain ng masasabaw ang of course supplement ng malunggay capsule.  most of all hwag ma stress.

^of course! frequent feeding of baby tells your body to produce more milk. law of supply and demand, as baby needs more milk, your supply will also increase as you feed him/her often. malunggay caps can help because it is a galactaggogue but baby's frequent feeding is even better.

Yung storage bottles ko (I have medela and spectra), nilagyan ko lang ng pigeon peristaltic nipple para dun na uminom si baby. We used Avent natural before, kaso napapagod ako kakalipat from storage bottle to feeding bottle tapos hugas lahat then sterilize lahat.  Yun nga lang, walang takip pag nakalagay yung nipple so pag dedede na si baby, saka nalang nilalagay yung nipple. 

Ano ba ginagawa nyo? Ganun din ba?

^i use my avent bottles as storage.i just bought avent sealing discs online (pero may nakita ako sa rustans shangrila). When its time to feed, i just remove the discs then lagay ko yung  nipple then use it sa feeding na rin.

^Sis, you have to make an appointment with Medela House to buy a pump. May fitting kasi saka idedemo yung pump, they don't allow walk ins. Makukuha naman agad kung may stock. Mabait sila, here's their number 0917-5614366

onga sis. Ako din napapagaod na sa pag wash and sterilize ng madaming bottles (feeding & storage). Kalurkey. Nagiisip na nga ako pano gagawin
to make my life (chos!) a little better. Everyday santabak ang hinuhugasan ko. Ayoko naman kasi din ipalinis and sterilize sa iba.

^Ako I use medela bottles and Pigeon breastmilk bottles directly sa Freestyle pump, I just put a cap and store direcho, tapos pag iinumin na ni baby, I just put the medela calma teat. It works fine, less salin-salin tapos less spills pa.

I have some wide neck bottles (with teats) - tommee tippee and avent - pero di ko pa ginagamit. Saka nalang yun when I stop breastfeeding and more on formula na ang iniinom ni baby.

Mga sis ask ko lang po anong storage bottles/cups/bags gamit niyo for breastmilk? Nagtitingin kasi ako sa internet pero puro disposable ang nakikita ko ang mahal tapos itatapon lang agad after 1 use? Ano po ba yung storage bottles/cups/bags na reusable? :| Sorry no idea po talaga. TIA!!:)

^ i use bebeta, 4 pcs for 200 pesos sya sa Robinson's. i seldom use milk bags kasi di ko nag fre freeze ng milk
