Ilang storage bottles dala nyo when pumping at the office? Example, for a double electric pump, you would need two bottles. Tapos next pumping session, another two bottles? And so on... Ganun ba?

^i used to do salin-salin kasi di ba bm has antibacterial properties and it's kept on the cooler naman. like in the first pump, i combine them in 1 bottle (if kasya) and then use the other bottle again on the second pump. that bottle will be used as the storage of the combined milk on 2nd pump.

^ ako naman, kung ilan ang target ko, yun ang bilang ng bottles na dala ko.
say 4 bottles na tig-4oz, 4 bottles dala ko sa 2 sessions per day
double electric, so 2 na bottles 1st session direcho sa ref. tapos 2nd session yung 2 bottles ulit.
dun sa same bottles na din iinom si baby kinabukasan, lalagyan lang ng tsupon.

iristacey, ganyan din kasi ginagawa ko. first pump use bottle #1 and #2 then combine kay #1. Second pump use bottle #2 and #3 then combine kay #2. Pero binabanlawan ko pa yung newer bottle. So pwede palang hindi na. Worried kasi ako dun sa droplets ng water na natitira sa newer bottle. Mukhang better nga di banlawan

mga sis...i need help. 

background: i have a 7 week old baby. preemie sya and nakauwi kami from the hospital almost 4 weeks pa lang. so his 1st 3 weeks, naka-tube then cupfeeding sya ng EBM. yung EBM na to, combination of my milk and donor milk kasi sobrang low ng output ko hindi ko mahabol intake nya. so since he went home, nakadirect feeding na kami on demand.

so i thought ok naman kami kasi ok naman bowel movement nya, and after we feed nakakapump pa ako ng konti. so the assumption was ok naman ang supply. but then, hindi sya naggain ng weight masyado in our past 3 weekly check-ups. 

now, the doc want to check if it's a supply issue ba, or intake nya baka tamad sya magsuck, or baka my milk quality is poor.

so ive been pumping every 3 hrs, pero ang output ko lang always is 1oz. i've taken galactagogues, tried power pumping, etc. and i can feel that my supply has increased kasi ang bigat pa ng breasts ko. pero, i cant express more than 1 oz everytime! i use a double electric pump, and i massage my breasts while pumping. then i hand express after pero laging nagsstop at 1 oz. bakit kaha ganun? parang nakaprogram sya na ang output lang is 1 oz! e dati naman nakakapump ako more than that e.  pero now, i dont know what happened para syang may cap na 1 oz.

help! nababaliw na ako. huhuhu.

Sis meron yung Avent sealing disc.yung isang set 6pcs ata laman. I use the sealing discs sa avent bottles ko to store breastmilk.meron sa mall and online

mga sis ask ko lang, 2nd week na baby ko still no formula milk for him as i intend to give him breast milk talaga.

ask ko lang, normal ba na 2 or 2.5 ounce per pump for both breast lang ang nakukuha ko? swerte na ako nyan kung maka 2.5 or 2 ako kasi most of the time 1 to 1.5 lang na pupump ko for both breast. i used medela freestyle for pumping.  through time ba dadami din ang produce ko based sa experience nyo?

^yes sis dadami yung milk habang mas madalas kang mag direct feed and mag pump.ganyan din ako sa simula then after 2mos breastfeeding nakaka 4-5oz na ko sa pump. Try mo rin take ng Natalac capsule (malungay) 3x a day to increase your supply

mizizlim, natry mo na magpa-lactation massage? Baka may clogged ducts ka lang. Saka ako output ko lang when pumping here sa office is 2oz, pero dumami na ngayon (5oz) when I started pumping every 2 hours for 10 mins.

Question, kelan kayo bumili ng breastpump? Before or after na manganak? Sa first baby ko, I used avent manual pump. Binili ng husband ko after ko na manganak, kasi yung binili ko  (before ako manganak, forgot what brand) hindi nagustuhan ng asawa ko. Konti lang milk ang nakukuha kasi. (Yes, asawa ko nagppump ng milk sakin kasi hirap ako) usually tig 2 or 2.5 oz nakukuha ko each breast. Nung una, parehong breast na yung 2.5. Mix feeding naman kami non. This time, plan ko breastfeed lang talaga. And I plan to buy yung double electric. I just hope ma-milk ako para hindi nakakahinayang.. may kamahalan din ang electric na breastpump e..

Yung kakilala ko, mahina milk nya. Sabi ng OB mag hot compress, tapos minamassage yung breast gamit yung wide tooth comb.

sis shooting star...mukha naman wala akong clogged ducts. nakakausap na ako ng lactation consultant and tinuruan nya na ako how to hand express and how to remove clogs. so sa salat ko, wala naman akong mga bara.

i asked na din my doc about it di din nya masagot e.

nuna - ako 3 weeks after birth ako nagdecide to buy a pump. pero I started pumping at 8 weeks na yata. and yes hot compress and massage prior to pumping is good. pump din before feeding time to stimulate another letdown

happyluck - why are you pumping this early? may latching problems ba kayo ni baby. best kaisto direct feed para ma establish ang milk supply. iba pa ring ang suction powers ng direct feed and yes output will increase over time kasi nag aadjust yan based on babies needs kaya maganda pag latch lang ng latch.

mimizlim - dont be STRESSED... major factor yan. listen to soothing music, look at pictures of your baby, mag FB habang pumping. some play games pero nakaka stress din minsan ibang games hehe! positive thinking works... dumaan karamihan sa atin sa ganyang stage, hold on and believe you can produce what your baby needs

Amazon ako nakabili ng avent sealing disc ko.. si baby kasi ayaw sa avent bottles mas feel niya pigeon ang mamahal pa naman ng avent naging storage bottles nalang tuloy

@sis nuna, ako kasi when I got pregnant sa first baby ko I've already decided that I want to exclusively breastfeed her kahit for one year lang so bumili na kami agad ng breastpump before pa ako manganak, initiallya ng binili ko yung medela na electric pump (swing), super sulit toh, kaya lang single lang yung una kong nabili.  Nagkataon naman na may officemate ako na after a couple of tries eh nag give up na sa pagpupump and pinahiram nya sakin yung medela swing nya so simultaneous na ang pagpupump ko ng 2 breasts mas mabilis at mas marami ako nacocollect na milk pag ganon. 

so now that I'm on my 2nd pregnancy, (sinoli ko na kasi yung pump ng officemate ko) bibili kami nung Medela Freestyle Double electric na pump.  Pricey ang medela pero talagang sulit naman.
