Ill be sharing our siquijor trip.

Soon as we arrived at Dumaguete Sea Port, we booked our tickets at Montenegro Shipping Lines booth worth Php136 (Dumaguete to Larena Port). We planned on booking tickets thru OceanJet but it was a Saturday (and mga Sabadista daw sila) and so their first schedule is 2:00PM. (bummer!) While waiting for 10:00am schedule, we decided na kumain nalang muna ng early lunch. Maraming carinderia near the port.
It took us almost 2hours before we arrived at Larena Port. We also saw dolphins while sailing! Freebie!
While we were on the boat, i talked to some locals on how to go to San Juan, they advised me na magrent nalang ako ng tricycle worth Php250. I said no way noh! Masyadong mahal!
So then, soon as we arrived at Larena Port, we flagged a tryk going to Siquijor. We asked the driver if he can suggest someone who can help us rent a motorbike. We were dropped off sa bahay ng cousin niya, then Kuya went with us sa Siquijor Port. We really had a hard time looking for a motorbike since lahat daw ay taken na, and medyo maarte si xave at gusto niya ay automatic. We settled then for a manual motorbike kesa wala diba? He knows naman daw how to drive so push na natin yan.
From Siquijor, it took us almost 20-30mins going to San Juan. Medyo may kalayuan at kainitan ang sikat ng araw no! Soon as you pass by a small bridge and a bar and grill, malapit na sa Lornas End of the World. We dropped off our bags, kwento kwento, then 2:00PM, we started our own tour armed with the Map i bought sa Siquijor Port para lang mabaryahan ang Php1000 ko.
SIQUIJOR TOUR:
Century OLD Balete Tree- Brgy. Camplanas, Lazi, Siquijor.
We were trying to look for the other falls, kaso hindi ko mahanap ang lilikuan so nagderederecho kami. From Capilay Spring Park (na dinaanan lang namin) medyo malayo layo ang Balete Tree. I'm not sure why people say na Siquijor is so small na malilibot mo agad. While on the street we actually stopped like 3 times to ask the locals if malapit na kami sa Balete Tree!
his tree is centuries old na daw or is believed na 400 years old na. You can swim here, take photos and fish spaaa!

Lazi Church/ Convent- Lazi, Siquijor
Ito pa, this spot is far from Century Old Balete Tree. Lazi Church and Convent is magkatapat lang. Hindi na kami pumasok sa convent.
Cambugahay Falls- Siquijor
One perfect spot for relaxation and swim swim. Motorcycle parking fee is Php10. Plus you have to walk down 135 steps to reach the falls. Someone is selling Buko here, costs Php25. Not bad noh. Nakakapagod kaya bumaba at umakyat ulit.
Salagdoong Beach- Maria, Siquijor
They say that Salagdoong beach is a popular resort in Siquijor. This is sooo sooo sooo (im not exaggerating) far from Siquijor town proper. Really. Kung mag momotor lang kayo and pupuntahan niyo ito, at nagstart kayo ng tour ng 2pm, don't bother going here. Napakalayo talaga nito. Inabutan lang kami ng dilim!!!! Plus nothing really special about the place.
Sand is not that fine. They have a swimming pool pero under construction with matching dead rat.
Since medyo hapon na, we decided na mag meryenda nalang ang make sure na makalabas ng Salagdoong before mag 6pm. Again, napakalayo ng Salagdoong beach. At liblib!!! Nakakaloka!!! Inabutan na kami ng dilim sa daan,
For someone who doesn't know the place, or hindi kabisado ang road, medyo nakakatakot din na abutan ng dilim. Just like what happened to us. When we passed by the town of Siquijor, we asked the locals if we go straight, makakarating kami ng San Juan and they said yes, without telling us na we will be passing by the PROVINCIAL ROAD and not the National Highway.
It was really really dark. There were no signs on the road, no road lamps or poste. There were few locals na dumadaan and we tried sana na makasabay sila pero they were really really fast. The only light na makikita mo is yung light ng motorcycle.Plus the malubak yung road. It doesnt seem to end. Para kaming nasa gubat kasi yung sky is natatabunan na ng mga trees! Nakakaloka talaga. We we slightly scared na baka yung road is dead end and we need to turn left or right na pala. We were on the provincial road for like a never ending 30+ minutes!
After few minutes pa, may nakasabay kami na matanda and bumababa ako to ask him. He doesn't speak tagalog pero sinabayan niya kami till makarating kami sa isang familiar place, which is Capilay Spring Park.
Thank goodness.
Soon as we arrived at Lornas end of the world, we were so tired yet we managed to buy one of the best fish i tasted in my entire life for Php120 only. We grilled the fish, dinner by the beach, few drinks with Jing, a solo traveller from Naga who happens to also know my friend poch, she bought pizza from Treasure Island, then we doze to sleep.
