Hospital to give birth:Capitol Medical Center or Jesus Delgado Medical Hospital?

HELP PLS mga sis! Baka you have inputs whether positive or negative about your birthing experience between these 2 hospitals? Syempre importante facilities and lalo na yung mga staffs kung okay sila maghandle ng patients? Hope you could share your story para i can choose between. I read a blog about Capitol Medical Center which is not nice pero i don't want to judge naman.

Appreciate your inputs mga sis, etong 2 hospital lang pinagpipilian ko sana.

I used to work in CMC so medyo magiging biased ako to say okay naman dun.My sis inlaw gave birth in Delgado and she was also ok. It really won't matter where as long as your OB is the one attending your birth.I can't say the differences on charges though.AS a nurse before in CMC ok naman rooms doon. Depende sa choice mo ng room yan, you don't have to be in the OB wing if you want to stay  in a deluxe room pwede naman yun. All staff are professional enough to handle patients' requests. Minsan nakaka-rindi lang din pag sobra demanding ang patient (and bantay!).Bear in mind hindi 1-1 ang ratio ng nurse:patient wherever hospital you give birth in,and in the OB wing, hindi rin uncommon na sa labor area is shared-sometimes a curtain separates women in varying stages of labor.I'm not sure but you can check with each hospital if pwede mag tour sa facilities (labor & delivery room, nursery) before you give birth-in Singapore they allow this kasi and I think St. Lukes does it too ( I worked there too but not in OB wing so I can't be certain).I wish all hospitals in the Philippines can do that tour to prospective clients, it helps kasi in making informed choices.

Gave birth at JDMH 2x ok naman wala ako naging problema nasa OB din [textspeak!] yun may scoliosis pa ako pero kinaya ko ng normal sa facilities nila malinis at strict sila kaya ok sakin medyo pricey ang private rooms nga lang

Hi! I also gave birth sa JDMH. Ok naman facilities nila, maayos ang rooms. Ok din naman staff nila.

I gave birth then at Lourdes Hospital near Kalentong with Dra. Juanita Lee assisting me. It was not good experience giving birth in that hospital and with Dra. Lee's hand as I got 3rd degree perennial laceration, bukod sa I find Dra. Lee masungit, and non-accommodating to inquiries, at ayaw amining nagkamali sya, eh 2 doctor na nagsabing mali sya. 

My second child, I gave birth at Fe Del Mundo Children's Hospital in Banaue Ave. I was treated like a princess there by the staff, and by my OBGyn, Dra. Abegail Castro. During my labor bantay ako ni Abegail at ng staff nya na nakaantabay sa monitors ng mga machine na nakakabit sa akin. Di tulad sa Lourdes Hospital, papabayaaan ka nilang mag-isa sa labor room (maglakad-lakad daw; lol, parang public hospital ng Fabella) ni kamag-anak mo bawal, so takot na takot na ako sa maaring mangyari sa panganganak ko, takot pa ako kasi mag-isa lang ako sa isang masikip at mahabang room, ni di ko marinig kung may tao sa paligid.

I suggest that you go to a hospital or doctor na mahal maningil para aalagaan ka ng husto.

Gave birth to my eldest in aug 2009 at  capitol medical center. Very good experience naman. And besides, i was a nurse there too during those times. Birthing wise, it was excellent. Dr. Roselyn Navarro (ob) & Dr. Ara Luna (anaesthetist) attended my needs. Pedia namin is Dr. Angela Pilar Marquez-Mendiola.

^ around 70-90k siguro. gave birth in CMC in 2012 and in 2018 and for each, we spent around 45-50k including na ang 10.5k-12k na pf ng anaesthesiologist. OB and pedia kasi kakilala namin kaya hindi sila nag-charge or minimal charge lang. less philhealth na rin yan.

ok naman experience ko with CMC nung 2012 and nung 2018, mas naging okay pa services and facilities nila. very happy ako sa experience ko nung 2018 kasi they follow unang yakap at rooming in. hindi kami naghiwalay ng baby ko except nung nilinis sya pagkalabas. from birth to recovery room to private room, magkasama kami ni baby. pagkalabas na pagkalabas rin ni baby, pinag-breastfeed na nila ako habang tinatahi ako ng OB ko. very strict rin sila sa security ng baby. hindi pwede i-transfer from one area to another without security escort. hatid sundo lagi ang baby. 

actually, naging suki ako ng CMC from 2017 to 2019 ang very satisfied naman ako with every experience. mura pa.

Sorry for bumping in. I hope that my answer will still be helpful to someone. I've heard a lot of positive reviews about Capitol Medical Center. However, everything also depends on your doctor. My friend gave birth in that hospital, and she was satisfied with the center. Her doctor was very supportive during her pregnancy and the whole process. Also, I would recommend to you that you talk to different doctors. You need to choose the one with whom you will feel comfortable. You can even try this service -- iinsight.biz -- to search for doctors. Doing it online will save you a lot of valuable time.
