How many weeks or months before a baby can travel?

Hello.. 

I would like to ask if how many weeks or months can an infant / baby allowed to travel by car? Hubbys family is planning a family outing with relatives, approx arround 35 kami,  medyo nag aalanganin ako sumama kc 6 weeks palang c baby.. Hindi pa complete mga vaccines nya.

From manila kami, pinag iisipan pa if batangas, subic, medyo long drive and ang daming people.

^sis I don't think a drive to batangas or subic will be an issue for the the baby as long as you have the right car seat.

my pedia is conservative so she advised 6months minimum. agree naman ako doon kasi baka kung ano anong sakit pa makuha ni baby pag masyado pang maliit.

at 6 weeks, naibyahe ko na baby ko from manila to laguna via private car. 4 months nung nabyahe ko na sya ng manila to bicol by car also. hindi naman sya nagkasakit.

everything depends on you naman e. if you'll wait for your baby's vaccines to be completed, mga after a year mo pa siguro sya maibabyahe.

Thanks mga sis sa reply.. Inaalala ko bka magkasakit si baby, baka kung ano ano makukuha nyang sakit. For sure madami gusto kumarga sa kanya, mga relatives ni hubby. Ang liit pa ni baby

di naman mawawala yang mga pasyalan.

Baby is used to going out na since she was 4 days old. 4 days to 2 months old, limited lang ang lakad to malls and parks within Manila. After her 2nd month, we took her to Tagaytay via private car. On her 3rd month, Caylabne where she had first footdip in the sea. 4th month, Bohol another dip in the sea upto her waist line. In Bohol, we took her to Chocolate Hills and kasama din siya sa amin naglunch sa Floating Restaurant. Di naman siya fussy basta we brought her stash of milk and lots of changing clothes, pawisin kasi baby ko.

We usually schedule our travels on weekends after her pedia visit. Okey naman sa pedia niya and wala siyang restrictions as long as may nakatutok kay baby to attend to her needs and comfy siya sa biyahe. Her first plane ride was hasslefree, di umiyak and nag enjoy siya. Yung pabalik ang problema kasi binigyan kami ng seats near the wings albeit my request na malayo sa wing area kasi masakit sa tenga dun. Ayun, todo iyak baby ko because of ear pressure. She was crying until the plane landed. Next time talaga mang-aaway na ako if dun pa rin kami ilalagay kahit marami pang seats available.

I personally did not bring my baby out with the exception of doctor visits til she was 4 months old. I didn't want any unnecessary exposures.

We haven't traveled anywhere far by car but my daughter's first plane ride was at 9 months and another at 10 months old. No issues naman on the plane.

My son was 18 days old when we went to Sagada, roughly almost 24 hours on the road with a stop over at Baguio for 8 hours.  He was a month old when we came back here in Manila.  Then we again went to Sagada when he was 3 months old, this time through bus from Manila to Baguio then a private transport from Baguio to Sagada.  Just this month at 6 months old, we brought him to a beach at Cavite.  All his activities, I make sure that I inform his pedia first.

the only time that we were able to have my baby travel is after he got baptized.

pamahiin daw ng lola ko yun so my mom told me na dapat ganon daw. even iwan si baby mag isa sa room bawal hanggang di pa nabibinyagan

if by air,most pedias and airlines recommend not the first 48 hours and most definitely not the first week of birth.other than that, it's relatively safe na.My daughter hindi naman nabinyagan (due to magkaiba kami religion ni hubby), pero nai-byahe na namin from SIngapore-Australia at 8 months.Every 3 months we fly this route (Aus-SG-Manila or other destinations) for a vacation hindi naman napasama,nausog or napaano si baby back then.My only real problem is that the last flight namin,we caught cough and colds from other passengers and 2 weeks kaming may sniffles buong pamilya-so nakakaawa naman for really small infants to catch this.

sa malls pa lang kami namamasyal ng baby ko (6mos old)... ayoko siya ibyahe sa malalayo kase nakakaawa kapag nahawa ng sakit sa makakasalamuhang tao... postponed din ang pagdalaw namin kay hubby sa SG dahil sa ear pressure baka maging fussy siya... problema ko din kase hassle para sakin magbyahe ng malayo dahil sobrang likot ni baby... he cant stay still kahit sa pagupo... parang may spring ang legs talon ng talon at gusto laging kalong dahil sinanay ng byenan ko sa kalong nang tumulong siya sa pagaalaga sa baby ko...

kung hindi maiiwasan na magbyahe via private car, better to have a perfectly installed car seat sis...
kapag ayaw mo ipakalong si baby, ilagay mo siya sa stroller or carrier niya... in that way hindi kalong agad ang papasok sa isip nung makakakita sa kanya... unlike kung karga mo c baby, pwede kuhanin agad sayo...

I started travelling with baby sa malls lang when she was just a month old almost everyday yun then at 3 months weekly kami umuuwi sa bahay namin sa cavite until now she hates cars nagwawala sa kotse kaya I make her sleep first before getting in the car kaso in between travel nagigising so stop over din kami sa malls na madadaanan. She was 5 months when she rode a plane she was awake the whole trip masaya naman sya maingay lang ang daldal and parang ibon na sigaw ng sigaw while playing
