A cousin of mine got pregnant few months after getting married kaso nawalan ng heartbeat eventually. Took them 5 years to get pregnant again at 2 yrs old na yung bata ngayon. In our case, we tried for a month and got pregnant right away. Mataba kaming mag-asawa and I had irregular periods na nagsimula ng tumaba ako (when I moved to the Middle east). Akala ko noon mahihirapan ako but our baby was conceived on my husband's bithday. I guess it will really come/happen when you least expect it. Just relax and enjoy the ride nga siguro. Pray, pray, pray. Tonight I also pray for those who's trying to conceive. May we all be able to experience the joy of pregnancy and motherhood. In God's time! :)

This is a great read on being child-free and proud:
http://grist.org/article/2010-03-30-gink-manifesto-say-it-loud-im-childfree-and-im-proud/

"Here’s the dirty little secret that we’re never supposed to say in mixed company: There are a lot of perks to childfree living, not to mention a lot of green good that comes from bringing fewer beings onto a polluted and crowded planet."

"    Careful studies of how women feel as they go about their daily activities show that they are less happy when taking care of their children than when eating, exercising, shopping, napping, or watching television.  Indeed looking after the kids appears to be only slightly more pleasant than doing housework.

None of this should surprise us.  Every parent knows that children are a lot of work — a lot of really hard work — and although parenting has many rewarding moments, the vast majority of its moments involve dull and selfless service to people who will take decades to become even begrudgingly grateful for what we are doing."

Hi sis damonsgirl, magkano inabot ng IUI mo? yung OB ko, yan din sinusuggest. pero d pa kami nakakabalik. kc yung hubby ko, naaassign sa ibang bansa ng bigla bigla. so d pa kami makapagpasked. wala naman daw problema samen both. timing lang daw. kaya IUI suggestion nya. im 35yrs old na rin and 1yr na kaming trying.

Hi sis Ivy!

Ako rin blocked yung right fallopian tube ko dahil sa ectopic pregnancy ko last year. Sayo ba daw both or isa lang?

This s my problem, I don't want to have kids but my husband wants one. What to do??

And nobody understands why I don't want to have kids. My friends all want one. His friends have kids.
Both of our family want us to have kids. I'm the only odd out. Maybe because I already have one from my previous marriage and I realized that I am not meant to become a mother.  I'm not a good mother, even. I know that. That's why I know I don't want to have another one.

This is causing a major rift between us.  But I just can't compromise.

May kilala kami na by choice ayaw nila. Stressful daw kasi magka anak.

my sister and her husband decided not to have kids din. i think it came from observations nila sa mga cousins and friends na nahihirapan magpalaki ng mga anak. but they are happy ha, my sis and bro in law. kahit marami nagtatanong sa kanila, they just brush off the comments.

Sino?

We've seen the life of our friends with kids, no freedom and they are complaining about it. Usually we are hearing something from the oldies, like one time nag comment yung tita ni hubby na inggit daw kami sa kapatid ni hubby na may baby, kesyo kawawa naman daw kami. i was like what?! ::)

Before kayo nagpakasal, ano agreement nyo?

Usually kasi kapag ganyan dapat napag usapan before getting married para iwas away. Malaking issue kasi yan. I mean having a child is really life changing and dapat decided talaga. Mahirap kung isa lang may gusto.

Funny ang iba kasi akala nila mas alam nila ano makakapag pasaya sa ibang tao. Haha! Nagmamarunong ang peg. lol

Meron akong isang anak at wala kaming plano sundan, you know, I get the same comment pero sa ibang way. Like they will tell me "kawawa naman daw anak namin kasi nag iisang anak".. I was like, really? kawawa? bakit pulubi ba sya? ::)

so true,,,, i live with my hubby's sis in law, everyday i don't see her happy with taking care of her children, naawa nga ko sa mga bata, araw araw bulyaw sigaw, papakainin nya galit sya, papaliguan nya galit sya, palaging ganun... bihira ko syang makita na sweet sa mga anak nya, ewan ko kung pano pa nya masasabi na masaya ang motherhood journeys nya kung sa mga mundane things like that hindi nya ma enjoy, ang iksi ng tolerance nya sa mga anak nya..hay... anyway, i don't judge her, based lang yan sa mga nakikita kong actions nya, im sure naman na she loves her children dearly, baka ganun lang talaga paraan ng pagpapalaki nya

I know someone, she is self confessed that they choose to be childless couple, and she even posted one time na mas mabuti pa ang aso kasama at alagan compared sa babies or mga toddler sa mall na may tantrums at acting up and she knows she can not deal with that, and question mothers how are they able to tolerate those scenarios.  I respect her decision.

One day, nabuntis siya and she was happy she did not even expect it kasi akala niya she do not have the capacity to bear one, she kept on posting her preggy journey on facebook, unfortunately nakunan siya and she was so heart broken and ever since she already have the high respect over motherhood and the sensitivity to post about children.

**Semi long post coming up, hehe**

We've been together for 9 years before we got married, 3rd wedding anniv namin this weekend.

A few months before the wedding, sabi ni hubby, ano gusto mo try na tayo, sabi ko naman, ilang buwan nalang yung kasal eh, tapusin na muna naten yun para no stress.

So fast forward, 3 years na kaming trying (as in all out, hehe) but to no avail.

I have PCOS and on the heavy side. Irregular na yung period ko matagal na, as in years na siya ongoing.

January 2014 we saw an OB and sabi na we'll do a fallopian tube hysterosalpingogram (HSG) to check if barado ang fallopian tubes ko kase baka naman daw gamot kame ng gamot tapos barado pala. Thank God naman at hindi barado.

We were supposed to proceed with fertility meds na kaso pag labas ng blood test result ko, borderline diabetis ako, eh delikado so sabi pababain muna. Hubby also underwent a semen analysis during this time & all good naman (so lalo sumama loob ko kase alam niyo yung feeling na ako nga ang may 'problem'). :(

Medyo na-frustrate ako and took some herbal meds na binigay pero nothing came out of that, hindi na ako bumalik.

Last Saturday, I decided to look for another OB kase the one who did the HSG matanda na and very impatient na with all my questions, sinasagot lang basta basta gawin mo to, etc etc

The meeting with my OB looks promising and I find her pleasant to talk to. I brought my clearbook of all my procedures para makita niya from the start. I'm up for a TVU tomorrow kase she wants to see it for herself. Kase I can just tell her I'm PCOS then go na siya sa meds pero at least gusto niya talaga makita & then saka kame mag uusap kung anong next step.

Hopefully, this is the start of our journey as parents by God's grace. :)

good luck sis mrs_mcta!!

Hubby and I were 5 years before getting married last year. Mag 1st anniv pa lang kami pero a lot of our friends and relatives keep on asking if may laman na. I rolled my eyes to some and answer most with wala pa eh and ok lang naman. I get it, we're on our 30 but c'mon may iba pa kaming ginagawa sa buhay. And personally, I believe darating if para sa amin. Those who are lucky to get pregnant the soonest are blessed and so are we, we are bless to enjoy each others company muna. No nega vibes here, nailabas ko lang.

Congrats to those who are successful with their journey and baby dust to all us of praying!!

Buti nga kayo may supportive husband kayo ako wala.
