childfree ata ang mas correct term to use. to differentiate from childless who are consciously trying to have a child. once upon a time we were childfree but not anymore hehe. but looking back, being childfree is a good choice too :) mahirap nga lang to tell other people even loved ones, ours never understood the meaning of "ayaw namin" haha. these people were the ones who told us na everything about having a baby is fulfilling/fun/exciting tapos nung nagpapatulong na kami mag-alaga wala na. oh well moving on...

my husband and I waited to try until we're together (LDR kami), and when it finally happened we waited a few more months para makapag adjust kami. When we started trying bumulaga n lang samin ang rare condition ko. i was 30 nung nadiagnosed ako, ang saklap pala pag sinabihan ka ng "your chances of getting pregnant is very slim, close to zero"

inisip namin dati na we will go all the way, kahit anong paraan kahit maliit n chance we will take it basta magkaanak lang kami, but in the end narealize namin na kahit naman anong gusto naming magkababy if its not for us hindi talaga mangyayari... pano pala kung may ibang purpose si Lord para samin, tapos nakikipag matigasan kami sa plano Niya.

so we decided to leave it to fate, bahala na.... but it doesnt take away the pain, the longing and the insecurities. mahirap i-open up kahit sa families and close friends ang condition ko. sabi minsan ng OB ko, its ok to cry, because you are mourning the child that you dreamed of. i still cry a lot, pero lagi kong sinasabi sa sarili ko na God knows my inner most desires and He will not put me in this situation if wala Siyang mas magandang plano for me.

Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I last visited GT.

I'm married for 2 years. Diagnosed with PCOS since 2005. Husband is working abroad. TTC eversince.
I feel the same sentiments as @lisse and it's just really sad that everyday you hear one of your friends or relatives getting pregnant or giving birth. I'm happy for them, but at the back of my mind still ask myself...how about me?

Everyday is like a struggle especially when your husband is not with you, physically, to share with the pain & struggle. So, I just pray a little bit harder, stay a bit more patient, be a little stronger, have a little bit more faith & hope that someday...in God's time...we will be blessed with our most beautiful gift ever.

let's all stay strong! :)

@tamarind26: may I ask for the OB's contact details? TIA

I have PCOS din. Last week nagpa check up ulit kami sa OB and by next month mag take na ako ng clomid.

Sobrang pressured ako both sa work and TTC, that is why I am planning to resign muna sa work and focus sa TTC. Sobrang stressful kasi ang work ko now and feeling ko hindi nakakatulong for me to get pregnant. Lagi nalang naiisip ko ang work minsan middle of the night nagigising ako thinking of work. hope kayanin namin financially na si hubby muna ang may work. I'm planning to find work na online para may income padin kahit paano while nasa bahay lang.

Anyone na nag decide to stay at home dahil sa TTC?

^hi sis! much better siguro if pacheck hubby mo sa urologist para mas maexplain mabuti SA results. or kung maipakita mo rin sa OB mo kasi 0 and 100 lang sperm count nya, baka may kailangan sya i take na meds.

^^hubby was diagnosed with zero sperm in his initial semenalysis. we consulted a urologist and the reason behind such result was due to (something like) the veins in his testicles are clogged (maybe compared to varicose veins) so the sperms are stuck and cannot pass thru, so it eventually dies. he was given some medication but, unfortunately, he was scheduled to go back onboard, so we did not had the chance to TTC. We plan to focus on getting pregnant when he gets back.

Ganito naging case ng cousin ko. He had surgery. Ok ang naging result kasi unang try palang nila, after the surgery, positive agaid ang wife nya.

^that's great. actually, surgery was given as option to us as well. but my husband is not yet convinced. we're hoping the meds would work. if not, that's time we'll move on to another option.

Hi sis chedz!

After taking meds for 1 month, naging OK na counts nya. 1 year na rin since he took the meds.

^sis k_fine I can feel you naranasan ko yan first week of September. I thought I was pregnant kasi 1 week ako delayed. Unfortunately delayed lang talaga. Ngayon lang ulit kasi ako na-delay at yung pms symptoms same lang din kung sakaling naglilihi na ako.

^ Me too. 1 week delayed but the moment I decided to take a test, biglang dumating si AF! hehe. so try ulit this month.  I'm turning 30 this year kaya gusto sana namin magkababy na this year. Basta wag mawalan ng pag-asa, at magkasama kayo ni hubby sa journey na to. :)
