Question, kaya ba 1 whole day Disneyland & CA Adventure?

I haven't been to Disney California - however, it would be a better experience if at least 1 day for each park. Planning to go this summer, but would get a 3day park hopper ticket.

^^No. Disneyland is already one whole day or more, depende pa ito sa dami ng tao ha.

Warner bros. you can probably do in a half a day depends on the tour that you will book. We tried their shortest one since we didn't have time. So yes, pwede half day ito.

I need suggestion/ recos, planning our trip na end of March

1.  Affordable clean place to stay sa Anaheim area (overnight lang pag nag Disneyland) and LA proper (near tourist spots)... Just a place to sleep since we'll be out naman the whole day
2.  Must see/ visit places sa LA... nasa list ko na Sta. Monica pier/ Venice beach, Griffith observatory, walk of fame, universal.  six flags
3. We'll be driving from SFO to LA, suggestion ng mga places to see/ restos along the way... madadaanan ba namin Pismo Beach?
4.  Suggestion din for cheap rent a car na pwede from Sfo tapos LA na iiwan yung car... tsaka yung nag accept ng credit card

Additional question: Lake Tahoe
we have a place to stay somewhere in vacaville area and we're planning to visit Tahoe (2.5 drive), would you suggest overnight sa Lake Tahoe or balikan? 


I'll add na din this question (i hope its ok),  ano masu-suggest nyo na outfit if you'll attend a wedding sa cityhall (sfo) with simple reception... Im ginawin to the max, hahahah.  Hubby will be wearing suit daw.  I remember dati kase, we attended a wedding sa Guam and we're all wearing formal wear (gown/barong) and when we arrived, naka summer/ casual floral outfit lang sila, hahaha.  halatang turista kami

^sis, will you have kids with you? Or kayong dalawa lang ng hubby mo? If with kids, I would suggest one day each para hindi nakakapagod. Depende din kasi anong rides/attractions kayo interested and gano antay nyo per ride/attraction. If you want it easy and relaxed lang, one day each should be okay.

For Universal, we did it in a day kasi halos lahat sinakyan namin. We were there first thing in the morning and left around 7PM kasi dun na rin kami nag-dinner.

1.) Although we have a place to stay in LA, the last time we went we stayed in Marina Del Ray. We wanted to be near Universal, Santa Monica/Venice Beach and LAX airport. For hotel recos, try checking tripadvisor then use googlemap also to see the distances of the places you want to visit from your hotel.

2.) Check this website of their tourism board.

3.) If you do highway 1 or the Pacific Coast highway, you'll hit San Luis Obispo where Pismo Beach is plus a lot more i.e. Santa Cruz boardwalk, Monterey/Carmel, Big Sur, etc. That's the scenic route from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Pero this one ideally you do for two days, overnight ka in one of the places you'll be passing through.

4.) Sis lahat naman ng mga rental agencies nag-aaccept ng credit card. Try carrentals.com for price comparison.

Lake Tahoe, since it's going to be a 5 hour drive (round trip) I suggest do an overnight para hindi nakakapagod.

Re wedding attire, a simple day dress will do. Dala ka na lang ng light sweater.

I have searched hotels near disney for a probable summer vacation, I like the ones near walking distance to disney, like Howard Johnson and Park Vue. There are other affordable resorts, all within good walking distance or near bus stops, like Best Western, or check Disney good neighbor hotels at the disney website.

I posted a similar question in page4 of the thread. Would like to stay near Universal, Loewes is near the attractions, but is quite expensive. I have read about Sheraton as being near Universal but I have yet to check it.  Im not really very fond of Universal, but my kid still like to check this one out. when we went to Orlando last year, we're kindda done with the park early and just hang-out at city walk.

^ you don't need to stay near universal because it's the most accessible park. you can stay somewhere in hollywood or downtown la and still be able to get to universal thru the red line. tipid pa sa parking.

not too familiar with the hotels but for people who will be driving, you can stay in cities that are a little off center. you have plenty of options like pasadena, culver city, burbank, commerce.

Ano pa ibang attractions near Disney?

I am torn between spending our 4 nights in LA or split the 4 nights between Anaheim and LA. Kung Disney lang ang meron sa Anaheim, we'll just endure the travel time from LA to Anaheim and stay at LA for the entore 4 nights. 2 lang kami ni hubby, no kids.

there's Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park which is close enough to Disney.  It's also an amusement park with rides and live shows.
then about an hour away is San Diego with SeaWorld and LegoLand.

I can only give my inputs on hotel in DL and DCA.  Last year, we stayed at the Anaheim Desert Inn across DL and DCA.  The walk was easy.  The hotel was clean and roomy but nothing fancy.  It had a coffee maker and microwave oven.  Breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, apple and coffee.  It was just a place for us to crash in.  This June, we have made reservations for both Anaheim Desert Inn and Tropicana Suites, both across DCA and DL.  We will decide where we will stay and just cancel one of the reservations before we leave for LA. 

We are spending three days in DCA and DL, one day for each of the parks and another day for us to do a repeat visit to our favorite rides.   

I find that one day is enough for Universal.

^^^sis, would you suggest to split our stay between Anaheim and Los Angeles? Put aside the hassle of transferring hotels, I think this works for us. Ang mahal ng hotels sa LA. May ma-susuggest  ba kayo?

^if you are doing both Disney and CaliAdv,  i think you should as each one requires a day each to explore.  then there are the other attractions as mentioned earlier if you want to see them.
sorry sis, i have none (hotel recommendations) personally have not stayed in around the area, lagi day trip lang kami.  disney hotel lang ang alam ko.

^^^ you can check the disney website to see the rides that are closed. personally, i can live without the rides they closed but there may be rides in there that you like. if you decide to go, i think it's still worth it.

^^i don't suggest splitting your time if you will be driving. sayang oras and pagod. ganun din kasi, magdadrive at magdadrive ka no matter what unless youre glued to one area. not familiar with the hotels either. i've stayed at the courtyard marriot near pasadena and that one was ok. pero not sure about the price. outside la and the beaches, prices drop. i agree with the trivago suggestion and goseek. or airbnb.

I saw some major rides on refurb starting Jan- May. Some will open around April. Matterhorn, Splash Mt, SW, Soarin. Its still ok to go, there are still a lot of attractions open. Pero sayansg Soarin since this is a good ride, if you dont have motion sickness and not afraid of heights. Its going to be the 60th yr of Disneyland in July.

It's always sunny in SoCal. 
I always say we have the best weather here in Cali, even if it gets hot, there's none of that sticky sweaty feeling.  Maybe warm during the day but gets cooler at night and early morning.
