help me naman with my itenerary

dec 21(10am) arrival namin sa LAX (los angeles airport)
jan 4 (8am) departure LAX (los angeles)

we are 7pax - 3 seniors,2 adults 1 child(6yr)

plan to go cali , las vegas, san francisco, san diego..possible ba?

*in las vegas may matitirhan kami dito... the rest wala na ...help me sis sa itenerary and accomodations na din....and ano bas city ams maganda unahin considering na LAX(los angeles) and entrance and exit namin 

Sis, Punta din kami US Dec 6 to January 29. Wala pa kaming itinerary. If nakagawa ka na sis, pwede po patingin? thanks

will be in LA by next month, is it safe to take Metro Green and Blue line? commute lang kami ni mister, try daw kasi namin instead na mag taxi

^ not familiar with the green line. but the blue line-- heard lots of horror stories. it's supposedly the dirtiest and seediest line. and that's saying something because the red line, which i take once in awhile, is already uncomfortable in some parts. may i ask-- why these lines? anong meron?

I love taking public transpo wherever I go particularly in Europe. I have also experienced commuting in NYC, Chicago and SFO. But I draw the line in LA. I will not nor attempt to commute there. I'll echo what mooncake and leaves said, lots of horror stories. Better to rent a car, cheaper and you get more flexibility.

our hotel kasi is located near Staples Centre and don lang kami sa area na yon for the whole day. when i checked the direction from LAX, its either Bus or the Blue/Green line transfer ang pwede. One day lang kami magtry magcommute then next day may sariling car na kaming gagamitin.

^ ah ok. i suggest that you just take the super shuttle. it's more expensive, about $20 per person but it's more convenient and they will drop you off straight to your hotel. that area where the metro station is near staples center, is also a bit tricky especially if you go past the la convention center. it's not safe.

your other option is to take the flyaway bus from lax to union station in la. then take another bus to your hotel. once you're in downtown la, public transpo is a breeze. what's your hotel? maybe i can help you figure out what line you can take.

but super shuttle pa din ako or like what mama squeak said, drive niyo na lang. though i agree-- for one day and you'll just be going around around, not worth it to get a car.

mga sis kaya bang pagsabayin ang tour sa disneyland and universal studio considering na may kasama kami 4 na seniors and 1 child (6yr old)...

napansin ko lang sa citypass card naka bundle lang sa san diego seaworld....plan kasi namin san diego zoo kesa seaworld wala bang naka bundle kay san diego zoo?..

if you want to do both, you'll spend most of your time  travelling because of the distance between disneyland and universal studios.  from your hotel by staples you can go to universal studios early as in when the gate opens.   you're in the middle of LA, so expect some traffic. do the tour and see some of the attractions.  by  2pm, leave for disneyland, maybe if you're lucky you'll get there by 4pm, then stay there until closing. 
with kids and older folks,  i don't think you can,  they'll get really tired, as you will be rushed to do everything in one day.  seeing 1 place will be so tiring as it is. 


your hotel is closer to universal studios.  but i think the kids will have more fun at disneyland.

yes we have private car na pwedeng may magdrive..

^ monterey is very far. central coast na siya. it might even be closer to san francisco, if my memory is correct. sobrang hindi kaya ng one day both universal and disneyland, coming straight from monterey.

disneyland, you need one full day. tipong you start at 9am and end at 10pm. universal, if you start at 9am, you can finish by 5pm. that is, if you want to get your money's worth.

Hello mga LA sis. Nasa palm springs kami for a few months, galing kami sa east coast. Gusto ko mag Jollibee sa LA eh nabasa ko na traffic there is bad. Plano ko na puntahan namin yung jollibee sa may beverly blvd tapos punta kami sa Bahay Natin pinoy mart sa may Venice blvd (palms neighborhood). How bad is the traffic kung mag drive kami in these areas? Thanks!

it depends on the day of the week and the time of day.  pag weekends hindi naman, even if you're right smack in the middle of LA . weekdays off hours like 10am til 2pm, ok lang din.
just remember, for me ha, the worst traffic in LA is comparable to a light traffic in Manila.  again, that's my opinion.
really,  you want to go to jollibee?  meron din sa Vegas.

Thanks sa info sis TysLolakins. Plano namin this saturday magpunta ng LA. it's good to know na hindi ma traffic pag weekends. plano namin mag travel ng mga 6am and then leave around 3pm. how about parking sis?

there should a parking lot adjacent to the eating establishment.  plus there's street parking too.
places frequented by tourist like Beverly Hills and cities fronting the beach, those you have to pay for parking.
google street view mo yung addresses for you to get familiar with the place and where parking is.
btw the Jollibee in Beverly Blvd is not in Beverly Hills,  even if the street name sorta implies.

Hi. I need suggestions for hotels in Hollywood area. I find Hotel Roosevelt ok, but my uncle said that it's the creepiest hotel in LA LOL He suggested Renaissance, but I can't find it. Maybe, that's the old name of Loew's Hote?  Any other suggestions in the area? My kids love to stay in that area since nandun na yung mga gusto nilang puntahan like Madam Tussauds, Walk of Fame etc.

Need some help planning a summer trip mga sis: SF-LA-SD or LA-SD

LA leg of the trip:
1day universal
1day touristy stuff - walk of fame, ect. (where else to go/what else to do)

3days - DL/DCL
1day rest
1day shopping - (any premium outlet nearby- Carlsbad, Camariillo, Las Americas)

I have been googling and is now as confused as ever with the options.

-Where do you suggest we stay?
Suggestions were to stay in Hollywood area for Universal then transfer to Anaheim. Or just stay put at Anaheim then travel to Universal, go back to hotel after, do it again next day for sight seeing in LA. What are the transport options from Anaheim to Universal and back?

Not sure yet if we land at lax or burbank - next question:
How do we get to hotel (either hollywood area or anaheim) coming from airport? We might rent a car if it is more practical - just hate the traffic. Public transport  is much cheaper - but with luggage, ang hirap. I have read about greyhound or those shuttle, which one is better?

I am a budget conscious traveller and will not pay for over $200+/ night for just a place to sleep in. Any input would be much appreciated... salamat ng marami.

^for the 2 days in LA best to stay close. Anahaim to Universal/Hollywood is too far you'll waste more time on the road and public transpo will be a pain and stressful, which a vacay shouldn't be. That's about an hour and half drive almost with minimal traffic.

there's a couple of shuttle services from the airport to any hotel (or maybe the hotel where you'll be staying would have one too) might be cheaper than a cab.  Shuttles  charge ata per person http://www.supershuttle.com

Will try to look for a hotel near Universal that is within the budget. Then travel to Anaheim for DL.

If we stay sana at Anaheim, there is Greyhound bus from Lax to select Anaheim hotels. This might work. But the travel you say from Anaheim to Hollywood will be major pain, might change plans.

Now, how do we get from Hollywood to Anaheim? Taxi waay too expensive, public transpo with luggage is a no-no. Rent-a-car, considering it, 1 way only thou. Shuttle sana is better. Any suggestion to that?

Anything else to do in the Hollywood area?
