Pardon my ignorance, is "inchik" or "intsik" racial slur ba?   or "insik" kase common lingo lang yun sa amin if chinky/monolid yung eyes ..

Correct me if i'm wrong but i think intsik is derogatory that's why filipino chinese prefer to ba called chinoy/tsinoy. Call them chinito/chinita nalang

^ now that I think about it sis ha, when I like a girl's chinese beauty or  I like her in general,
I call her "chinita" or chinese .. but if I don't like a person then may
monolid, I call them "insik" loool I think I get what chica means na parang may nega ang dating.

ano pala naka.nega ng sasabihing "intsik", what goes into people's minds? is it the stereotype nga
grabe kuripot and racist kapag hindi fellow chinese? Enlighten me please.

OT:

Intsik is originally used before by our ancestors trading in the philippines to refer as or introduce as "uncle", it came from the word "in chyek" a. Fukienese word which means uncle. While chekwa it came from native Bisayan limerick that goes "intsik gwakang kaon kalibang!" (translated, "Chinese laborer eats and sh*ts)  But as time goes by, pinoy used it to describe chinoy as intsik beho, intsik tulo laway etc. that is why older generations prefer to be called Tsino, Tsinoy but not intsik lalo na tsekwa. It is like calling Pinoy as Indio during spanish era. And kasi nowadays the term instik is being used to generalized anything done bad by tsinoys "intsik kasi kaya kuripot" etc. so in return some chinese calls pinoy "hwana, huana" to generalized pinoys if they did something bad. Like shamcey " why would she wear wedding ring ng di pa kasal, hwana kasi".. Gets?

Kaya we prefer to be called Tsino or tsinoy, but not intsik or chekwa.

aside from what sis chica said, ako filipino chinese din and i even use the word instik if i want to refer to a negative trait of us chinoys. it's very derogatory and meant as an insult. you you look at how the context of how the word was used in the previous post, parang may pagka demeaning to the culture as a whole.

I've noticed sobrang benta si kim to fans and bashers alike. Kahit Fab or Drab post, mga pics
lang ni Kim na repost niya. Bentang benta. haha or baka dahil epitome ng beauty yung mga chinita,
pale and thin like her dito sa Pilipinas.. pang.masa beauty

I don't think FP has personal issues kay kim, it's just that maraming may ayaw kay kim and at the same time maraming patola fans so ayun panalo sa comments. Pero mukhang dumoble effort niya kay kim nung nagreklamo si kim sa twitter about fp blog. Ang mukhang may issue talaga siya ay kayna Georgina at Liz Uy na kahit kakarampot lang comments,mega post pa rin siya kahit wala naman mali sa photo.

Hmmm funny because I have chinese friends who refer to themselves as chekwa or intsik, like sobrang okay sa kanila so I didn't know derogatory pala yung intsik kala ko referring to their singkit eyes lang Pero di ko gets bakit derogatory ang "instik" if it means uncle, sa SG nga they refer to elder people na di nila kilala as auntie or uncle. Yung chekwa ang alam ko na derogatory.

Like what i explained sis grace as time goes by the term intsik was used to belittle or describe chinese as intsik beho, intsik tulo laway etc. so now the term intsik is used to insult bad chinese habit. E.g. Sobrang kuripot nyan kasi instik.

Wow, di ko din alam na insulting pala yung word na intsik. Gagamitin ko pa naman sana yan... buti na lang nabasa ko muna dito. 
Yes, marami ngang words na habang tumatagal eh nag-iiba na yung meaning. Like "Christian". Dati tawag yan para insultuhin yung early christians. Pero naging official na talaga na ganyan tawag.

Sa picture ni Kim na sans make up, bago ba yan? In fairness, mukha nang natural ilong niya. Posible nga na make up lang. Lumiit lang konti kasi lumiit din face. Sinusubukan ko kasi tingnan pics niya ngayon nung pbb days niya. (But I'm not really good in comparing pictures. Lol)

Please let's not be too patronizing or insensitive with regards to political correctness. 

Bakit kapag may mga naririnig tayong mga remarks about Filipinos from the American (and other foreign) shows grabe reaction nating mga Pilipino?  Kahit na napakaliit na bagay lang or rather "innocent" remarks lang.  Pero kapag ibang race or lahi na ang nagpasintabi, negative or O.A. or nagbabalat sibuyas na ang dating?

Itinatama lang naman ang maling akala at wala namang maling nasabi, so konting respeto o preno na lang naman sana.
