Ang hirap din magplan ng honeymoon! My fiance and I are planning a trip to europe around oct 2016 but the thing is, sg based ako and i'm planning to go home for good around feb. I checked the requirements, need ng ITR. Eh wala ako nun and wala din akong work pag-uwi. Gusto ko muna mag-housewife for a while. Haha!

May nakapagtry na ba sa inyo na husband or parents ang sponsor pag kukuha ng visa? Thanks in advance!

Just to add in my 2pence worth You can show them 3 months worth of bank statements from your current account (not your savings account) There should be a reasonable maintaining balance that is there for the duration of the 3 months.  They want to see your day to day expenses,and dapat hindi pa din nababawasan yung maintaining balance. They want to check that you can afford the day to day expenditures and won't have a reason to stay there indefinitely and be a problem to the state. Will you be applying with your husband? You can put his current account bank statements as well. You can also bring the lease of your flat, or house deed if it's in your name. Just to prove that you won't stay there. Normally an employment certificate, paystubs and bank statements are enough, but since you are unemployed during that time, it helps to ensure that you won't be applying for work.  Sad to say, when it comes to tourist visa applications, the innocent tourists' image have been tarnished by those who had chosen to be illegal aliens.

^^ For my first Schengen visa I was supported by my husband (boyfriend pa lang that time). I was new dito sa Ireland and  I didn't have work pa. I did send my bank statements together with his bank statements.

we went against all odds and booked our flights to europe for our honeymoon during the recent travel fair. hoping to get our visas and leaves approved, or else, iyak. lol we got RT flights via Cathay Pacific for 40k per person, flights are rebookable naman just in case, but i hope we wouldn't have to.

Yay bzbee!!!! Thats a really good price for RT!! Less than 1000 USD and re-bookable too. Dont worry I am sure you'll be able to fix things. So exciting to plan for honeymoon!! I really really hope we get good air-fares too when we start booking our honeymoon plans.

My fiance just applied for a visa and got approved for a 1-year. Which will cover not just his trip this month but also our honeymoon next year! Lucky bastard. So now i have to apply for mine alone, which wasn't our plan!
Sabi nya baka ma-improve chances ko if I attach his approved visa to my application and say we're going together hahaha totoo ba!? And what embassy is it easiest to apply--- Italy, Greece, France, Spain?

sparklingjewel: What embassy did he apply in? Dont worry super easy lang to apply for Shengen visa Im sure youll get it with or without h2b's attached visa.

Hehe avoid Italian Embassy because they are the most strict and stingy in giving visas with a long validity. In 2012 French Embassy gave me 1 year. But in 2013 Italian Embassy only gave me 6 mos even if I was travelling with the whole family and obviously going as a tourist.

Hi sparklingjewel have you had a previous schengen visa before.  Of the 3, the most lenient is the French Embassy.  If you've applied for the schengen visa before,  there is a big percentage that the french embassy will grant you a year's visa. Others, will only give you visa for the duration of your trip. And if ever this is your first time to apply for a schengen visa, the French Embassy normally gives 6 months multiple entry.  😊😊😊 enjoy your honeymoon preps

saka any tip kung sang island/atoll maganda yung house reef.

Ako din sis, tinamad ako mag-work after getting married! lol.. I'm thinking of taking a break, just enjoy the honeymoon stage and just travel and enjoy with hubby.  Lately, I'm feeling na parang gusto ko magresign then rest and relax lang for 2 months.  Then hanap na lang ulit new work.. lol

Preferred the water villa but no issues if we get the 'land' type villa.

Hi, just want to add my twopence worth. If you want to check the veracity of a hotel, BandB, or any accomodation, it is best to go to a different website to check for their reviews. Like whenever we go on holidays, we use booking.com to look for accomodations. But I also check the reputation of the hotel, restaurant, et al  in tripadvisor and yelp. Be wary of those with no reviews, it may be cheap but there must be a reason why nobody is staying there to rave about it.

Buti ka pa sis hallerski.. kami back to work pareho after wedding haha! No time for trips yet since nagamit namin our annual leave. You lucky girl! Haha i wish i could just stop working after the wedding. Lol. But kawawa naman my husband if single income kami hahah our condo's dues alone is big na. To manage the whole leaves thing, im using up my 2015 leaves for wedding preps & half of my wedding month and then we're going for a month-long honeymoon next year, using up next year's leaves naman. So dami ko ding rest time away from work pero iba parin yung di magwork! Sarap nyan hehe i'll go do that when we get to setup siguro our business together.

^naku sis 2 mos palang akong walang work. So far dami ko kasi ginawa including updating status (hirap nito alam nyo yan!) Tapos nag aral din ako mag drive. Pag umalis husband ko nararamdaman ko na maiinip ako! Haha. Balak ko nov to dec apply na ko work. Mahirap kasi maghanap ng work now eh malapit na matapos 2015
