^I dont know if there will be more or less tourists now that this situation is happening in Greece hehe parang both pwede mangyari.. ohwell ako i dont even know the itinerary really hehe nahulaan ko lang na Greece is one of the countries fiance chose because he admitted to it! :p And i was the one requesting it before, too. More or less 3-4 countries kami, 1 week each daw. I cannot wait!

I still do hope though our plans for March--- 1 week in South Africa, pre-honeymoon---- will push through hehe i will pray every night that for that.

When are you planning to go to Greece? Hopefully not January kasi winter time pa din and  yung temperature can go down until 10 degrees Celsius.   Best time to go there will be from April onwards Plus April -May, mas mura pa, same goes pag dating ng September - October since school holidays are over by this time   And hindi sya yung peak season for tourists.

By the time you go next year their economical status will be sorted out by then.  hehe.  They also said that last year, when Greece had started to have problems, there were  even reports in BBC that said there were violence on the streets, but tourists still continued to flock the Crete Islands and Santorini.    Best to keep updated.

Hello bonzaigirl we're going to Europe in April or May, kasi baka mag South Africa muna kami in March. Im going to separate the two makapasok pa naman ako konti in between hehe the South Africa wasnt originally part of the honeymoon anyway, pre-honeymoon sya lol.

I read that you'll need to pay in cash at establishments there like hotels they don't accept credit anymore.



Any recommendation on Philippine locations we can go to by driving? I don't want to travel by air due to MERS COV

^Yup i know, we usually pay everything in cash naman when we travel but this will be our longest trip together so far so ok lang rin sana may credit card.

You can go to Ilocos, Vigan, Baguio, Quezon, Baler, Subic, Laiya, Batangas.

my fiance and I initially plan to go to El Nido Resorts for our honeymoon this December particularly in Pangulasian Island.  pero naisip namin na kung ganun din lang kalaki gagastusin namin, why not travel abroad na lang.  wala naman akong maisip kung saan.  i think pang asian destination lang ang kasya for that kind of budget (less than Php 100k for both of us).  gusto ko sana sa Bali kaso dun na nagpunta brother ko last year as honeymoon destination nila, baka sabihin ginaya ko. hahaha! any other suggestions?

Hi sis Tinapay, Phuket is also nice. Mas maganda yung beach nila than Bali. Pwede 1 day, island hopping kayo to go to Phi Phi. Then the rest,stay nalang sa resort para chill. Pwede din 1 day tour to Krabi. Maganda din dun

Tinapay: For me Bali is more fun. Madami magagawa even if you stay for 1 week. I would stay several days in Ubud (think Eat Pray Love of Julia Roberts), and several days in a nice resort in Seminyak or Nusa Dua (which is isolated though). Bar hopping is great! -- Kudeta Bar, Potato Head Beach Club, and Ayana Rock Bar. I love Bali!!! Lots of fabulous restautants in Bali from high end to low end... like their local version of lechon in Ubud featured by Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations." Cheap too!!

If you are after the beach... nothing beats the beaches of the Philippines.
If you are after culture, upscale night life, and overall experience... go for Bali
If you are after some real down time since there arent many activities unless you go Island hopping which are quite far though... go for Phuket (hehe but honestly Palawan is nicer pa)

sis brendaumnas:  thanks for your input.  naisip ko nga rin Phuket kasi we love the beach.  we've been to Krabi, it was a nice and relaxing experience.  pero like what sis Chili said, nothing beats beaches in the Philippines.  nung nasa isang high end resort kami sa Krabi, di ko nagustuhan dagat, nangati ko sa tubig.  pero ang relaxing lang nung place.  but i'll still ask h2b kung gusto rin nya i-try beach sa Phuket.  thanks sa suggestion.

sis Chili:  kaya pala nagustuhan ng brother ko ang Bali dahil sa mga bars at nightlife dun, hehe.  siguro yun na lang din sabihin ko kay h2b, if beach rin lang habol namin, dito na lang sa Pinas.  unless mag Maldives kami, hehe.  thanks also for your suggestion.

Sis Tinapay when we were in Phuket last year with another couple, we got medyo bored hehe That's why we ended up booking an adventure tour that includes white water rafting, and an elephant ride. If it wasn't for that awesome white water rafting, I would have really been disappointed with the trip hehe. OK din outlet shopping for wacoal! Haha The food was OK lang. Thai food, but the food in Bangkok is so much better!

Perhaps I got bored lang because maybe the night life was a bit dead. Since the political situation in Thailand was a bit unstable and there were less tourists. But Bali, I felt that kulang talaga our 5 days there =) Plus the taxis are so much cheaper in Bali vs Phuket. It was annoying getting around Phuket via Taxi it was quite pricey.

Depende sa location siguro I guess? When we were in Phuket 5 years ago, the night life was crazy! We stayed in Patong Beach kase and a lot of things were going on in Bangla Road at night! Haha!
We've been in Bali din naman and in terms of night life, Phuket and Bali are both insane! but overall, mas madalas kami bumalik sa Bali kase hubby and I both surf..

hallerski heheh siguro we stayed around Surin Beach near all these beach clubs are like BiMi  or "Bikinis and Martinis" I think we went at a very dead time because it was just 1 month since curfew was lifted in Thailand LOL. Grabe the bars were empty! I love pa naman beach clubs!!

In Bali we stayed in Nusa Dua which was so dead and secluded hahaha But we really enjoyed going around the different areas especially Seminyak! Also loved eating in those seafood beach front restos in Jimbaran. It was quite romantic too hehe

True sis, Nusa Dua is secluded but kinda dead.. haha.. Seminyak is nice too and I agree Jimbaran is quite romantic. But most of the time, we prefer to stay in Kuta Beach.  It's a combination of nice surf and nightflife

True sis hallerski, it depends upon where you'll stay. When we went to Phuket, we tried night life sa bangla road and super fun makiparty kasama ang europeans. Then for chill nights, we stayed at katathani and surin.

It's also true that you won't get bored in Bali. We tried camel safari and ang lakas maka marian rivera ng pictorial. We also tried the sunrise trek na for beginners pero feeling oo ang lampa ko kasi hirap na hirap ako. And ang romantic ng dinner sa jimbaran bay

Maldives is actually affordable na din kasi may flights na via tiger air and air asia. Then may resorts na nag-allow for day tour only.

One of the bosses where i work just took a week off for her Australia honeymoon. A WEEK.
And everyone talked about it (kasi hirap magleave dito we're always so busy hehe). Pano na when i leave for a month, dont want colleagues talking about me/ judging me na kaya ko umalis for so long

oh no sparklingjewel!! =( What try nalang to fix the timing of your honeymoon. Like perhaps around holy week, when everyone else in the office is also on vacation mode and less likely to gossip and be envious of your long vacay.

Our Honeymoon is in Palawan since it's my hometown haha I'll just show my husband around when we get there. I have never been to Coron though

^Chili1113, That is the fiance's plan, leave before Holy Week and return a month after. Hehe. More than the length of it, the fact that people will know we went to Europe will surely get them talking. Di naman ako boss here (and the boss who is on honeymoon is a really a Head with like 15 people under her haha and she went to Aus lang for honeymoon and 1 week lang) so im sure pag-uusapan. My other officemate who got married last Dec dapat Europe honeymoon din naman eh nasira lang plans kasi nagkababy na agad agad. Sayang haha.

Same case before when there were engagements left and right here at work. At syempre pinag-usapan at nagcompare ng carat sizes. Kawawa ka pag malaki kasi every meeting someone will bring it up and tease and  so everyone in the meeting will end up noticing.

I hate office gossip. Or maybe i just dont handle attention well. I don't want to appear carefree or extravagant or what. I find it unfair if you are to judge someone because he/she values different things than you and prefers to spend money on things that you dont.

^awww. My husband and I are planning to have our honeymoon in europe. Yung japan kasi namin last feb minimoon tawag namin sin e europe talaga gusto namin. As of now wala pa ko work planning to work next year dillema ko din yan end may to june plan namin baka pagtaasan ako ng kilay pag sinabi ko 1 month ako mawawala sabihin bago palang sa work

^Actually sis that is one reason why I've been turning down job offers naman--so that i dont become so new into a job tapos aalis 1 month for honeymoon hehe. Pag bago kasi walang leaves pa agad so di talaga ako pwede lumipat work until honeymoon is over.
Baka magkaron din ako ng mini-moon for a week or so 1-month before the Europe trip but relative to my 1-month absence i think i can get away with that.

Pwedeng bang sabihin, jusko, live a life, people! hehe. FYI my rich boss has not taken a trip outside the country in the last 6 years. Di talaga sya naglleave nang matagal. Workaholic din.
