Honeymoon (Thread 2)

We will have our honeymoon din sa Europe. We already booked our flight.. Now finalizing our itinerary. since hubby can only take a two week leave, we decided to go to Paris and Italy lang.
Paris, Venice, Florence, Sienna, Chianti, Cinque Terre and Rome.  We will be leaving April 30 and be back ng May 17. 😊

Right after the wedding, we had our first leg honeymoon in Dubai for 1 week we stayed at Atlantis Hotel we enjoyed it haha. After a month, we went to Maldives and stayed at Anantara Dhigu for 5 days. Beautiful place! Beautiful island... And expensive too :/ for our last leg, we will be having our European tour this March for 2 weeks eto talaga dapat ang ultimate honeymoon, baby-making escapade. Kaso, sa dubai palang, nagawa na si baby ahahaha

We travel a lot as a couple even before we got married but most of the time 3-4 days lang kami nagsstay sa isang country. So we planned our honeymoon this way wherein we spend more time in each place and sunod sunod na travel. After Europe we still have a booked Australian trip but we have to cancel it kasi due date ko na yun for delivery.

But to our sisses na cannot go to these places for honeymoon, it doesnt matter naman. What matters is you spend your first nights or weeks as a couple without any hindrance to show your love for one another. If you have your own house na, aba, dun na simulan ang ligaya hehe but if you are going to stay with your in laws, i hope you make plans na makapag unwind muna after wedding and stay somewhere serene (before you enter the house of pain with in laws joke! Haha)

Kami bahay na muna after wedding after 4/5 months pa yun honeymoon pero sa bahay pa lang sisimulan na namin ang ligaya

Cruise is a good idea for a relaxing honeymoon, ang iisipin mo lang inside the cruise ship is kung ano kakainin mo.  I find it cheap din considering the amount you pay is for accommodation and food then you see different places pa. May mga entertainment din sa cruise ship.

^agree with cruise sis. Isa yan sa pinag pilian namin. Relax lang kasi pag cruise eh kaso mas naisip namin yung Japan since drwam talaga ng mister ko Japan tsaka yung Harry Potter gusto ko sya pagbigyan don hehe

^how i wish we have all the time for that. we only have 2 weeks to stay in manila after the wedding.. so we are not considering any overseas honeymoon trip at this point, but.. were currently looking into manila-boracay-el nido-manila trip.pero strictly 8 days LANG DAPAT haha. kasi we'll be back overseas agad.. we are both working full time and work agad as soon as we get back here!!

^my best man suggested the Palawan trip. 8 days. Next year gagawin namin yan. El Nido-Coron-Puerto Prinsesa.

I appreciate the beauty of Palawan. other places we've considered, Misibis Bay in Legazpi and Batanes. Pero bad reviews nababasa ko sa misibis. bellaroca, boring naman daw.. ano pa ba pwede?

Hi sis belle_v2g.  I think you can never go wrong with Palawan Kami din ni hubby to be eh mag Palawan pero ang honeymoon namin is basically kasama ang families namin. hehe..  Bonding with the family after the wedding.  Then after nun punta kami sa Ilocos Norte   Ang hirap kasi pwedi lang kunin ni hubby eh 2 weeks holiday.  Kaya yung talagang honeymoon will start months after na. hehe.  Have you considered Batanes?  Or Siquijor? we've been to PP but not in coron and el nido. so we'd probably try el nido this time. super limited din our time kasi. 4 weeks lang for the wedding at preps

No probs sis belle_v2g   Kami din kasi ni hubby, we are looking for places to go to in the Philippines   Tapos dala na lang namin yung immediate family namin, para makapag holiday din sila.  Minsan lang din naman sila makakapagbakasyon. hehe.  Kasi after din nun eh matagal na naman bago nila kami makita. hehe.  Nung umuwi kami ng December, nagpunta kami ng Bora with our immediate families, tapos dun sila nagpropose   And then the week after, dun naman kami sa Balay Indang, duun sila namanhikan.    Magastos ng kaunti, pero since buong family naman ang kasama namin eh I think it was all worth it Lalo na yung nakikita namin na nag eenjoy din sila. hehe

Originally, we were planning to go to Greece, my last holiday sana sa Europe before leaving the UK to go to the US, pero naisip naman namin, pwedi naman namin yan gawin months after ng wedding. Kaya yung holiday nya, is going to be well spent.  Kasama namin yung mga families namin hehe.

^that's what we're planning to do din.. take our family with us if we go somewhere in pinas. tapos yung honeymoon/holidays namin, we could probably explore oz or nz instead.. ewan ko pero sa susunod na yon.. kasi wala nakong leave haha! and we wanna make sure na school holidays din so we can take our 5 y/o with us europe or america, maybe after getting our oz citizenship na lang kasi it's easier to travel using a blue passport. expensive din kasi to travel, according to my colleagues, i need to save atleast $35k AUD for the 3 of us. (but if i have that amount, i'd rather pay for the down payment of a brand new house)

I know sis belle_v2g, sobrang daming priorities na kailangan muna no? hehe.  I think, in your case, since you're in Oz, it's more expensive for you to travel up north.  Like in Canada, plane fare is expensive to travel kahit sa US lang.  Unlike here sa UK, if we're going to the EU, parang less than £100 eh makakapunta ka na, not to mention, you can still travel anywhere in the EU on a shoe string budget, as long as you know where you can stay.    and hindi ka maarte hehe.  And it's true, mas madaling magtravel pag iba ang passport mo.  When I went to Berlin, nung nakita nila yung passport ko, parang pinagpyestahan nila, kasi sakto parang may training sila.  Nakakahiya kasi parang chinecheck nila mismo yung visa ko kung genuine ba yung schengen ko.  Hindi ko naman sila masisi kasi nga eh madami ding naglilipana talaga na fake. hehe.  Ang pwedi ko nalang gawin eh lapitan sila at tinanong ko sa kanila na parang di ako affected sa pag inspect nila and ask them "Is there a problem with my passport" hehe.  sabay soli sa kin hehe. 

Ang dream honeymoon ko talaga is Maldives but at the moment, it is just so expensive to go there. hehe..  We are also buying a house this year, so that would have to wait. hehe..

sis that's true.. i have friends in UK and they frequently go the nearby tourist spots via train lang. galing nga e. i'm not sure lang how much my titas from US spend on their Eu trip every year kasi nandon sila. i'll wait na lang siguro in few years. top priority ko din house vs. travels. and the honeymoon, it can be done at home for the mean time hahhaha!

sunsetbeach: I love your idea of having mini or pre-honeymoons. Our real honeymoon kasi will be about 2 months after the wedding, and now after reading your post I got this idea of having a mini-honeymoon somewhere right after the wedding hehe. But I am thinking, I wont include that in our budget anymore, I will make our mini-honeymoon sorta like my wedding gift to him. Thanks for the idea!!!

Sis how is Dubai for a honeymoon? Thinking of doing a few days in Dubai if we fly via Emirates and have a Dubai stopover enroute to Cape Town.

Sis Chili, I think it'd be nice if you have a mini moon right after the wedding since your honeymoon is still 2 months away. Just for some much needed time off after wedding stress. Hehe. We'll be having a mini moon right after the wedding, a honeymoon a month later and a post moon 4 months after the wedding! Hahaha.
