ano po dapat flowers ng PS/SS/MOH/BMS? who should have corsage or bouquet? TIA

hi sis,

share ko lang ang mga natutunan ko kay Ate Inah of Fullblooms. :)

for SS (veil, cord, candle): ok daw ang wrist corsage sa kanila since kailangan free ang kamay nila when doing their duties during the ceremony tsaka parang maganda din sa picture na may accessories sila habang naglalagay ng veil for example. :)

actually ang initial plan ko is corsage talaga lahat (pin/wrist) para tipid pero nung nakausap ko si ate inah di niya ina-advise na pin corsage sa ninang kase pwede daw makasira ng damit at sa BM's and MOH naman, advice nya is bouquet para daw ma-inspire sila na magkaron din ng magandang bouquet when they get married. ;)

i am very grateful kay ate inah kase nagawa nyang bouquet lahat ng female entourage ko without exceeding my initial budget. :D

WARNING TO ALL B2B'S!

Wag kayo makikipagtransact with RODEL PALLATINO from Dangwa. Very unprofessional and pabulok na flowers yung binigay samin. We paid 6,200 sakanya at sobrang panget ng mga flowers na binigay nya saamin.
nastress pa ako nung wedding day kasi magtatanghali na naideliver yung flowers namin.

Hi sis f878, pwede mahingi phone number ni Full Blooms by Inah? Ayoko kasing masyadong mag-splurge sa flowers. I was actually thinking na ako na lang ang may real flowers na bouquet, the rest ay alternatives na lang para pwede ding souvenir.

sure sis peachlipstick!
here are ate inah's contact details:

Fullblooms by Inah
1496B Galvani St., San Isidro, Makati City
+6927-296-2527
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fullblooms-Flower-Shop-by-Inah/299851607912

for me, hindi sya masyadong maboka sa text or chat pero pag nakausap mo sya personally sobrang warm at accommodating nya talaga. :) madami pa syang mabibigay na ideas at suggestions.
tsaka if ever you get to meet with her, don't forget to mention na imbitado bride ka.  sobrang ok ng working relationship nila ni ayie and they have nothing but good feedback for each other. :)

me too! actually i was thinking din na wag na mag-fresh flowers kase nga malalanta din naman and i had the same idea din na pwede ngang itago pa as souvenir kaso hindi talaga ako pinagkalooban ng talent sa DIY at yung rates ng mga customized crafts eh halos kapareho na din ng fresh kaya kumuha na kame ng florist.

hope you find your ideal supplier soon sis!

Thanks sis f878 :)
I'll try to contact her this week or next week siguro, medyo busy kasi kami this week.
My cousins and I will try to make a prototype of felt or paper bouquets pag di namin nagustuhan ang end product, balik fresh flowers na lang. Haha.

I was also considering a lollipop bouquet since I saw one na looks very nice and it feels personal kasi I love sweets :)

We just finished our wedding this month, and I would really like to warn all the brides here on Love in Blooms/Ate Jo Pafin.

Please be careful when transacting with her in case you have already made a down payment.  We had a mock up few months ago and it was very beautiful, all captured in photos.  Then we also have a written contract which she revised a few days (not even weeks) before the wedding just to make sure that we have everything in place.  I am very particular with the reception and how I wanted it to be for our wedding.  But time comes the wedding, sobrang iba yung naging itsura!  During the mock-up, there were like 7-9 big pots of beautifully arranged red roses.  But during the actual reception, there were sad 3 pots only.  The table lining which was suppose to play a very important role in the theme, was not present.  The couch for the couple became 2 big chairs.

It is also a good thing that I kept all the receipts, she was claiming that I still lack 15k.  She even went to our room as we were preparing for the reception to ask for it.  I just told her that I am very sure that we have paid in full already since I have all the receipts. So she left.

Nevermind all the other verbal things we talked about that weren't there, kasi yun verbal, pero yung mga nasa written contract and those captured in photos, ang sakit sa loob na hindi nasunod talaga.  Hindi ko na kasi mababalik yun at ang tagal ko yun inisip kasi meron akong certain effect na gusto for the reception.  Napaka dami pa namin meeting at mukha talaga siyang mabait.  Kaya naku sobrang ingat lang.

Hi mga sis, mine is allana's flowershop in dangwa, small shop lang siya, but doon na ako nag oorder ng  mga flowers every occasion, matagal na rin ako bumibili sa kanila, madali kasing kausap, and i find her cheaper, compare sa ibang shop, sa kanila din ako nag papagawa, just look for ate davie ( siya ang kausap ko, mas mura siya quote ng price) then request her yung brother niya gumawa ng bouquet.

Sa bouquet for my entourage, i bought imported flowers from nene's flowershop( cheaper for ecuador roses and other imported flowers except for tulips, mas marami din siya choices, sa kanila na rin kumukuha sila gedeon ng bulaklak) but if u want tulips and mga cynbedium or phalenopsis(if u want per stem and not per piece) go to holland. Mas mura sila.tulips 80 pesos per stem and french tulips is 150 per stem. If you want naman ng peonies, i forgot the name nung shop, basta nasa gitna niya na may chiller, 350 per stem, same price lang w/ nene's but mas magaganda ang mga dating ng peonies nila.
Mura din sana si king louie sa manila seedling kaso nag shut down na yung place kaya i have no idea kung saan sila lumpat, okay sana sila for stargaizer, lilys and phalenopsis,( nung kinasal si maricar and richard poon, sa kanila sila nagpagawa)

Then i asked allana's flower shop to arranged it, yung mga local flowers na ihahalo ko sa mga bouquet kay allana's na rin...

For my bridal bouquet c/o my man of honor, he told me kay nene's din siya kumuha ng bulaklak, then kay angel blooms niya ipapagawa. Magaling daw sila gumawa kaso medyo mahal lang.

Medyo hassel lang but cheaper kasi and i have naman someone na pwede ko ipasa [textspeak!] duties to check yung flowers.

But if u want hassle free just go to allana's then siya na bahala, so far naman early sila parate pag nagpapadeliver ako sa kanila, then pag parte ako humihingi ng dagdag hehheh :) kamot ulo na lang siya lol

Anyway para my idea lang kayo sa prices ng ibang flowera

Carnation-180
Local roses 120
Ecuador roses-130(bulk orders)
Holland roses-150 per sten
Tulips- 80( holland) 85(nene's) per stem
China roses-550(bundle of 10)
Bangkok roses-250( bundle of 10) but i was able to get it ng 230
Hydrenga(local)-80
Hydrenga imported-540-560
Stargaizer 150
Cymbedium-200 per piece
Cymbedium-1200 per stem
Hyacinth 150 per stem
million star- 120 ata not sure
Lavander 800 per bundle.
Paper roses 650.

Ang trick lang sa dangwa, know the price ng flowers, huggle muna kung how much, then compute per bouquet, then haggle some more :) para makatipid. Then as much as possible, hingi kayo ng copy ng breakage ng item and price list :)

Sad to hear that.. I got them too for our wedding pero purely entourage flowers lang and church flower arrangements. Magmimeet kami this december.  Thanks sa feed back. Ang reception styling ko is c/o K by Cunanan naman. Mag upgrade ako ng styling instead of getting a separate stylist for that. That's the original plan.
By the way, nakausap mo ba si ate jo about what happened sa reception mo?

Then isang tip din pala, request for flowers na matitibay, like carnation and roses, wag kayong kukuha ng tulad gerbera or snap dragon, if u dont want na after mag lakad sa church eh medyo lamog na [textspeak!] bouquet. Yung iba kasing flowershop bibigyan kayo ng flowers na mura nga pero mabilis malanta or masira. Kasi nga cheap. Pwede din naman makamura, basta know your flowers Then for callia lilys requet for imported callia, cause they have the tendency na malanta agad [textspeak!] edges. :) yun lang happy prep :)

Yes sis, after the wedding she called (I was asking help from my coordinator to sort things out).  Sabi niya, she thought wala na daw yung lining, sabi ko, that cannot be because the lining is very important sa theme ko.  Yung pots kaya daw kumonte kasi di daw nagkasya sa table, which also cannot be kasi same size yun table as per mock up in Taal Vista.  To me, puro nalang talaga palusot.  Nakakalungkot talaga kasi di na mababalik yun :(  Sana manlang nasabihan ako.

my wedding took place 6 months ago and during the wedding preparations, i've been reading this section of girltalk non-stop whenever i was stumped on a supplier.  i wanted our wedding to be perfect of course, but still within reasonable budget, my husband and i were practical that way :) i wanted to share my experience lang with a supplier, our florist in particular.  we had the most difficult time in choosing the florist because it was something i was not willing to splurge on since flowers will not last us forever but i definitely did not want to compromise too much since every photo taken, the flowers will be visible.  i was torn between two florists, which are Full Blooms (inah) and 2171 floral creations.  i met the latter first, was happy with her proposal and was easy to talk to, however, her quotation was over my ideal budget (i wanted the flowers to cost 100k or less).  then a good friend of mine recommended Inah of full blooms.  apparently, she can work within the budget i had in mind.  i met Inah and she seemed easy to talk to.  a bit quiet but just agreed to everything that i said and when she quoted me 120k, i asked her if kaya 100k lahat, she agreed naman.  so i thought, this must be the florist i have been praying about.  i still wanted to book 2171 just because i trusted her design better, but Inah seemed to know what she was talking about so i went with her despite my reservation.  sad to say, husband and i were deceived and very much disappointed.  we had our first mock up at a hotel with our wedding planner and hotel manager.  we had two kinds of flower arrangements, one low one and one tall.  we were happy with the mock up, but the tall arrangements we decided to change the color of the flowers because it was too dark.  so we scheduled for another mock up. for the second mock up, we went to inah's office and saw the arrangement and was surprised with the flowers chosen, it was totally off our theme.  but of course, she assured us on the day of the wedding, she will choose the right colors that will match our theme.  i was not OC with flowers, so i just trusted her with it.  then the nightmare began on the day of the wedding.  my bouquet and my entourage bouquets did not arrive on time at the hotel, so the photographer had no photos of the flowers.  the church setup did not finish on time, to the point of my mom in law being frantic as to where the flowers were and the ceremony was about to begin.  also, the flowers used in church was wilted, arranged disastrously and basically looked HORRIBLE.  on to the reception, Inah tried to deceive us by making the arrangements way smaller than the one in the mockup! different flowers! different color! and wilted flowers :( the moment my planner came into my room, she said, i think something is wrong with the flowers.  she told me that it was different from the mock up we saw and i should be prepared to be disappointed.  my heart sank.  the moment i walked into the ballroom, she was right.  the good thing was, my planner held onto the check of the remaining balance i had with Inah, she advised me not to give her the full payment yet and speak with her first and recalculate how much the horrible service and flowers cost because it was not worth 100k! (thank God for our planner!) to make the long story short, we issued her 70k and not 100k as previously discussed.  we felt 50k would be better suited for the arrangement she made for us but we were both business people, so we were reasonable.  Of course, Inah and her daughter made excuses and even screamed at my husband over the phone.  they even tried the "we will sue you in court" scare, but we had photos and people around us to prove it.  i guess my best advice for couples are, take the mockup seriously.  make sure to take photos so that on the day, you would know that the arrangement will really look like and hold on to that remaining balance! I am sure other couples had wonderful experience with Inah, but, sadly, we maybe one of the few that had a scarring one.

Do the female sponsors need to have their own bouquets? I agree with my future MIL who does not want our ninangs them to wear corsages since they would most likely prefer wearing their own accessories. Now, fiancé and I are having a discussion whether we still need to give them their own bouquets? I'm thinking that giving them bouquets is dyahe and hassle for them. When my mum and I attend weddings and she's one of the principal sponsors, she actually forgets where she places them. Hehe.

Do we really need to give them corsages/bouquets? Is there any other alternative? Fiancé will don a barong so definitely no bouts for the male sponsors. I want to hear your inputs ladies. :) Thank you so much!!

^ i saw this wedding online where the entourage and sponsors were given fans with flowers attached to them instead of bouquets. They held the fan while walking down the aisle. I can imagine that to be much more affordable and would also be a good DIY project =) Also saw some using peacock feather fans for a gatsby wedding theme. The fans can also be a souvenir for them too =)

Thank you, sis! That's a great idea! :) Our church and venue are all air-conditioned, but I will suggest that to my fiancé and mum. They can still use it during cocktail hour which will be outdoors if it doesn't rain.
