How to be an independent woman?

By taking good care of yourself and  all your needs.
Sariling  sikap. Maayos ang buhay. Hwag umasa sa iba.
Stay safe, stay healthy.
Choose the company you keep.  Do not get yourself into troublesome relationships & friendships.
Pray. Be spiritually centered so  you don't lose your way in life.

Enjoy!
It's more fun in the Philippines, really.

^^Do you mean living solo? Like living alone?

As long as you can support yourself financially, it's fine.

You can rent your own space near school,
Make it a secure home also in a safe location as well.
You would probably be doing all housework on your own,
or you could hire a stay-in maid for that,
or have a house chore service every now and then.

For food, you can cook or eat out.
Also just be responsible with whatever decisions you make.
Focus on God, and maybe church and have a ministry.

But you have to have friends and get busy if you want to fight the loneliness or boredom.
So you can join social groups or business clubs depending on your interests and hobbies.
Have real friends you can really count on, in case of emergencies, or for your emotional needs.
Find a job also.

You need to know your fears exactly so you would be able to address each one.
I also plan to live away from family, away from stress, and to be able to save money.

Sis, make sure muna na magkakaroon ka talaga ng work dito.
Hanggang ano natapos mo?

Have you considered sharing condo/apartment/townhouse with them? Or boarding house ang tutuluyan mo? Kasi dapat ngayon pa lang eh clear na lahat about financial para hindi ka masyado magkaka-problema.

I think naman ang bawat tao eh may survival instinct na talaga. Lol. So don't worry about it too much. Enjoy ka lang.  ;)

Sis, kayang kaya mo 'yan!
Good luck sayo...  ;)

Oh, by the way... I'm just wondering... ayaw mo bang mag-apply ng flight attendant sa mga international airlines diyan sa Middle East? Mas madali daw diyan mag-apply, eh.
