Food Trip Location: Kapitolyo Pasig

Hi mga sis! Lagyan nyo naman how much yung nagastos nyo sa orders nyo... para malaman ko how much ang budget sa isang resto.. gusto ko rin mag food trip dyan sa mga restos pero wala akong idea how much mga price range ng food nila!

We tried RUB. Super sarap ng ribs. Super tender and the barbecue sauce was just right...not sweet, not too smoky and not spicy. For the sides, my favorite was the coleslaw. Dont waste your money though on the Texas toast. Not good at all. Hopefully next time we dine here their much-raved spinach is available. We spent around Php 800+ for two. Includes drinks and extra sides.
 
Last week when we were in Kapitolyo, we wanted to try CAB. But the menu did not impress us that much so we ended up just taking out 3 slices of cake. The Japanese Cheesecake was divinely light. My daughter loved the Strawberry Shortcake and the Mango Cheesecake was still good days after. Total for 3 cakes were under Php 300.

less than 500 ang nagastos namin nang kumain kami sa Silantro, Beef nachos-160 pesos, Silantro's quesadillas-145 pesos at beef burrito-160 pesos..

rub ribs is divine! the meat is so tender and falls off the bone. dalawa lang kami and we tried the one good for four, sobrang busog and we only spend less than 800php. Though i would say the sides that comes with it is kinda few for 4 people. sana mas marami lang ng konti and sana may plain rice sila. sobrang gusto kong magrice! i want to try the coleslaw side. yes the spinach and mushroom side is so good. sana nga 2 na ganun na lang ang sides namin. hehe. the sprice is not so impressive.

^wala na akong alam na may masarap na bilihan ng cakes sa kapitolyo sis aside dun sa mga nabanggit mo.

tried rub ribs yesterday, thumbs up for them!!! affordable pa medyo matao pag weekend, waiting sila palagi.  next stop pa namin ang bullchef, Ninak, Nav & cab cafe. 

Don't dare to try Soho or Burgis ba yon, yung dating location ng Cafe juanita, food is good at affordable price naman kaso nakita ko galing sa ref lang yung mga sineserve nila.  akala namin bagong luto yung nahapag sa amin sobrang oily pa nung adobo nila

We tried Joe's Meatshack last month yata yun and ok din. Masarap yung food and reasonably-priced (di ko lang maremember now how much bill namin, basta pagkaalala ko e nasulitan naman ako). .

Someone told me the sweets in Globake (i'm not sure if kapitolyo pa yun, hehe) are good...

^yes sa kanto na yan halos sis. Pero no (sa panlasa lang naman namin,  mga 8 kami nun na kumain ng yema roll) d masarap ang cakes. Maligasgas at kulang sa lasa, puro tamis lang.

Nagke-crave kasi (last yr yata ito or 2yrs ago pa) ng yema cake tapos namention dito yan globake punta naman agad ako ayun sawi (layo kasi nun rodilla's pero natikman ko rin, ito masarap talaga). Siopao masarap sa globake sis.

sa cab cafe mukhang masarap din ang cakes nila pero hindi pa namin na try.  dumaan kame kagabi kaso puno and nakita ko andami din nag take out ng caked nila, monday night pa yan ha.  next time agahan namin.

yung Globake tabi yan mismo ng gate tapos pa-pioneer na yang area pero hindi pa din ako nakakabili sa kanila gusto ko kasi unahin purple oven

nag dinner kame sa bullchef good thing is bukas sila until 12mn.  we ordered asimBull (their sinigang version) and sizzling bulalo, ang sarap lahat, mura tapos hindi matipid sa meat may bone marrow pa talagang kasama hehe putok batok to. tapos binigyan kame complimentary bulalo soup, wagas na dinner.  thumbs up! hindi na kelangan dumayo sa batangas para sa masarap na bulalo

^^para sa akin hindi sis ayaw ko kasi ng maligasgas na texture sa cake. Cake roll yun nabili ko, hindi ko alam if may square/round yema cake sila. Hindi rin naman kasi lasang yema both ang filling at frosting.
May choco drops on top na d rin lasang chocolate. Mas ok pa ang cakes sa Dimasalang bakery sa kapasigan na talaga naman panaderyang-panaderya d ba


Yun cab cafe d ba bob's (Bacolod) rin? Masarap kasi food sa bob's.

Madalas din kame sa Kapitolyo pag gusto namin kumain ng masarap pero di kamahalan. Default namin ang CAB Cafe. We like their Spicy Fingers, Carbonara/Fettuccine Alfredo, Beef Salpicao at Batchoy. Syempre yung cakes nila di pwedeng mawala sa table namin! They originated in Bacolod but their name is Bob's then later on nag-expand uli to Cafe Bob's. They also had a store in Makati pero nagclose na din dun yung Bob's. Akala ko meron din sa CAB Cafe yung Mongolian at Sate Bob, chicken inasal with peanut sauce.

Nakakain na din kame sa Milky and Sunny, masarap din yung tapa kaso for me pricey sya. Kung trip nyo ng iba't ibang klase ng pancit from provinces, try nyo sa Pancit Center near Tropical Hut na sya banda. Masarap din rice meals nila, I like their adobo! Na-try ko na din sa Ado's, Aysee, Iko's (wedding cake ko ito), Lia's nakabili ako dati sa isang bazaar, at yung siopao sa Globake.

Ang dami pang nakapila sa ita-try namin. Yung Rubs ang daming waitlist kagabi e gutom na kame kaya nauwi uli kame sa CAB Cafe hehe.

must try ang Rub sis, super sulit at affordable price kaya pila talaga dun.  Nag Ba Noi's kame the other night, sobrang ok din ng food kaso pricey lang for me kasi konti serving hehe

madame pa din line up ko sa kapitolyo, cab cafe, thai dara, nav, joe's meatshack, ninak, hmmmm... 3 pala ang thai cuisine dito.  sana magkaron naman ng chinese or indian food hehe kumpleto na asian fix

The boyfie and I have tried Mad Mark's, Lia's Cakes and Ramen Cool.

Mad Mark's - We loved the Man sandwich and of course their ice creams! Definitely loved the coffee flavored one kaso I forgot the name -_-

Lia's cakes - Tried choco decadence...it was okay.

Ramen Cool - Loved their Milo Dinosaur. <3

@bigdadis, adjacent sya sa tropical hut at likod ng caltex ata yung gasolinahan along shaw? Kung nasa jollibee pioneer center ka naman, kahilera lang nun then walk going to shaw/san antonio village.

May Ba Noi's din sa Makati pero di ko pa din na-try. Next time pupunta kame dun sa Rub Ribs na di pa ko sobrang gutom para ok lang pumila.

^iba pa din syempre ang original pancit from provinces pero for its price, taste and accessibility pwede na din. We love their pansit batil patong and pansit cabagan.
