Food Trip Location: Kapitolyo Pasig

Mga sis, ano anong resto/bar/grills in Kapitolyo ang recommended niyo? Ang na-try pa lang namin is Cafe Juanita and babalik pa kami dun.. super sarap ng food and ganda ng ambiance..

I've only tried these palang sa Kapitolyo

Nav Modern Thai Cuisine - good Thai food with a modern twist. Love their Pad Thai and Wok Chicken.

Poco Deli - good sausage and beer place. They have nice pasta dishes too and yummy cakes.

Three Sisters' Restaurant - budget-friendly Filipino resto famous for their pork bbq. I like their pancit bihon din na topped with chicharon.

Bullchef - place specializing in bulalo dishes. I really love their AsimBull, bulalo in sinigang.

Silantro FilMex Cantina - good place for Mexican dishes. Love almost everything we tried -- nachos, burrito, quesadilla, Calliente wings, etc.

Mad Mark's - haven't tried their big sandwiches yet, pero they have good ice cream.

Lia's Cakes in Season - a place famous for their avocado cake. For some reason though, I like their Strawberry Cheesecake better.

I've been wanting to try Cafe Juanita, pero last na punta namin puno. Would love to try Haru, Rub Ribs & BBQ, Eleven Tables and Milky & Sunny din sa mga susunod na Kapitolyo food trips namin

Have tried the following restos: Rub Ribs & Bbq, Charlie's Burger, and Silantro.

Super yummy sa Rub Ribs, hehe! This is our fave so far, reasonably priced and ok naman yung service size for the price. Charlie's naman is yummy din pero quite expensive. Silantro is ok din pero honestly, I've had better tex mex food sa ibang resto.

We used to live in Kapitolyo and we loved Cafe Juanita, but the original location sa may kanto na talagang di mo aakalain na super-ganda sa loob. Dun yung talagang old house feel and authentic ang mga decor. Ngayon kasi commercialized na masyado, IMO.. pero masarap pa din naman food. But for me lang, medyo nawala ang "homey" appeal nya nung nagkaron na ibang branch at lumipat sa new location yung orig.

We like Charlie's even before pa and we still buy burgers and chicken wings for takeaway pag napapadaan kami dun. Three Sisters naman, masarap ang barbecue at pag tinatamad magpaluto sa bahay dati o di kaya e di pa nakapamalengke, dun kami nagpapabili ng food, hehe..

Latest na ti-nry namin sa area was Rub Ribs (wala pa yata to when we lived in Kapitolyo). Masarap sya and mura lang. Pati side dishes e ok for me, especially the spinach. Medyo limited lang ang tables so pag Fri/Sat e medyo maghihintay ka for a table. But for me, worth the wait naman.

^Agree sis, sulit talaga sa Rub Ribs hehe! What we do pag weekend, alanganing time kame nagpupunta. Para hindi sabay sa dinner rush, hehe.

So far, I've tried (and re-tried, again and again) Charlie's, Cafe Juanita, Haru, Rub, Mad Mark's, and Thai Dara.

Charlie's, parang nag-iba na lasa ng black angus burger. Or maybe, nagsasawa na ko. I like that it's open til late. And I like that they make me sign a waiver pag yung super spicy wings ang order ko. Haha.

Rub, still the best ribs taking into consideration price and taste. Ordered with sprice and mashed potato sides and fried oreos for dessert, heaven na.

Cafe Juanita, reliable Filipino fare. Not too crazy about it, but mom loves their pancit.

Thai Dara, a bit more expensive than Som's and limited menu, but I like the food. Di ko lang feel yung version nila ng catfish salad. Breaded fish fillet kasi sya. But other than that, parang mas naenjoy ko pa dinner ko here than sa Mango Tree Bistro at High Street Central.

Mad Marks, okay lang yung food. Unavailable yung The Man sandwich nung pumunta kami. I was looking forward pa naman don. Anyway, love the ice cream specifically Half-Baked Madagascar. Cookie dough ice cream lovers should try it.

Finally...

Haru, oh my, I love Haru. Standard order ko is the Uni Donburi (PHP 270). I love uni and super sulit sakin 'to. Sorry, Seryna's Kaisen Gozen.

Cafe Juanita - my all time favorite. Must have ko dun yung Aligue Pasta

Charlies- ayos lang for me yung burger but i love their fries. Kaka addict

Three sisters- i love their crab omelette and BBQ. Sulit yung price

Mad marks- love their ice cream. Havent tried their sandwich yet

Poco Deli- love their Gourmet Tapa. Super tender and hay basta ang sarap..

The food in mad marks is okay. Tried the man sandwich and a pasta, hmmm all i can say is that next time i go there i'll order something else. Parang okay yung steaks nila. Maybe next time i'll try that. Nung nagpunta kami yun ang usual na binibili. Sa ice cream naman, so milky and rich! Mas nalalasahan ko yung richness and milkiness nung pecan. But i love the half baked madagascar too! Yung cookies is so yum.

I love Rub ribs. Super sulit and yummy! Will try Mad marks naman saka Thai Dara soon!

You should try unaju at Haru, it's delish talaga, including the soft shell crabs.  For 5 pax, we spent about 5k din.

How can I commute from Robinson Ortigas to Kapitolyo?

^sis gusto kita matulungan pero hindi ako maalam masyado sa mga route ng PUJs at PUBs kaya ito na lang bus/mrt ride from ortigas to edsa central/crossing. Tapos jeepney ride from edsa crossing to pasig bayan, ang stop mo kapitolyo (sabihin mo lang sa driver) pwede na lakarin mula sa bababaan mo patungo sa mga restaurants na namention dito.

Pwede ka rin yata mag tricycle mula edsa central/crossing papunta ng kapitolyo pero sa side na ito ng unilab.

Anyway, yung classic confections sa kapitolyo walang kabuhay-buhay. Hindi maaliwalas sa pakiramdam mahal pa naman food items nila.

i'm in love with poco deli sausages and the pizza! mura siya for the size and taste. i love the sauerkraut too! nakaka-adik lang. lol. next stop is rub ribs!

Currently addicted to POCO DELI, too! Sausages + Cheeses + Truffle Pasta + Wine. Sarap!!

na try na namin karamihan ng resto along kapitolyo different specialty sila.  Latest try is Haru, grabe ang sarap!!! sulit din for its price, madami din servings.

first time namin sa kapitolyo at nag-crave kami sa mexican cuisine kaya we tried Silantro.. we ordered beef nachos, burrito and silantro's quesadillas.. sobrang busog kami ni boyfie after namin maubos lahat.. maraming servings talaga, masarap at mas mura kaysa sa iba. we asked for guacamole, garlic sauce, salsa and chili sauce.. masarap ang salsa at chili sauce nila. next time chicken wings ang itatry namin.. hindi na kami naka-try sa mad marks for their ice creams.. since super busog na namin..
