I worked for this company a long time ago and it is sad to know that the products they have is not safe for my baby.. I have chosen their brand since I worked with them. but right now, maybe I will choose another brand while they are working on removing these cancer causing ingredients

Most shampoos (baby and adult, and liquid hand soaps too) have DMDM Hydantoin (formaldehyde) kaya I always check the labels before buying. Kahit mabango hindi ko binibili basata merong ingredient na yan. Incidentally, the J&J milk bath doesn't have it, so we use that sometimes (sometimes lang kasi it has SLS naman).

^Sodium lauryl sulfate. It's a foaming agent. According to EWG, it is classified as low hazard, but we usually avoid this because it can be a skin irritant, and my daughter has atopic dermatitis.

alarming ang news na ito. my kids are using their baby shampoo pa naman. i'll stop using na this product.

This news came out a year or two ago, and J&J has committed to removing those harmful ingredients by 2013. Check the labels na lang kung new stock yung nabili nyo.

sa totoo lang halos lahat naman ng products meron SLS or SLES pareho lang silang bad. Kung meron mang walang ganyan super mahal and hindi kaya ng budget karamihan sa atin.  And honestly speaking most of us grew up with these products and we are all okay naman.  Marami pang cancer causing agent sa mga ginagamit natin at ikinakain sad to say eto na talaga ang mundo natin prayers na lang talaga... lahat naman tayo doon ang punta.

I think it's good that people are informed about these harmful ingredients (DmDM hydantoin and dioxane ingredients, in particular; SLS is relatively low-risk), and cause an uproar about this (instead of just accepting the way things are) because manufacturing companies (and even a giant like J&J) are driven to make their products better and safer for the consumers. Remember the BPA scare years ago? Now baby bottles are mostly BPA-free because consumers demanded safer products for their children.

My son has been using this product since he was an infant. But lately, he prefers to have his stuff with Superman or Batman Labels (shampoo, soap, toothpaste,etc). I have to check the label later to make sure that it's safe for him.

pati Cetaphil din daw.  naalaala ko lang yung forwarded email na lahat na lang nakaka-cause ng cancer, from shampoos, soaps, mouthwash, etc.

i was able to see most of the "bad" ingredients like SLS/SLES, formaldehyde etc on most products. hence, i chose organic like hhn kasi walang ganun.

You can try california baby products, they're natural and organic. My sister recommended this to me and we've been using this since day 1 of my son. =)
